Is it possible to optimise it further, so that the insert occurs in one query Something like this insert multiple rows via a php array into mysql but taking advantage of codeigniters simpler syntax. I have a method in my class which uses a 3dimensional tfpairexp as input parameter. and I need to use the values in tfpairexp later. void calctfpairexp (int tf1, int tf2, double tfpairexp[][2][3]) { int ctr,c; for (int j = 0; j < cchips && (c = chips[j].crepls); j += c) { int ctrl_no=0; for (int *p = chips[j].ctrl ; p && (ctr=*p)>=0; ++p,ctrl_no++) { for (int k = 0; k < c; ++k) { tfpairexp[j][ctrl_no][k]=interactionFunc(2,3,1); } } } } I call the method inside the class like this: calctfpairexp(tf1,tf2,tfpairexp); and I need to use values inside tfpairexp in next lines. but the compiler gives error in this line: tfpairexp[j][ctrl_no][k]=interactionFunc(2,3,1); and says that the tfpairexp variable is not defined in the calctfpairexp function. any idea?

    hy, i have a little, big problem here :) after i upload some images i get a list with all the images. I have some jQuery function for rotate, duplicate, delete, shuffle images! when i select a image and hit delete i send a post to php with the alt="" value of the image,i identify the picture and edit.     Hi there, I hope I can make myself clear in English and in what I want to create. I first start with what I want. I want to make a IBANcalculator that can generate 1-n IBANnumbers and also validate a given IBANnumber. IBANnumbers are used in many countries for payment and the tool I want to make can be used to generate the numbers for testing purpose. On wikipedia (Dutch site) I found a list with countries and their way of defining the IBANnumber. What I want to do it to make a kind of an array that holds all the countries with their name, the code, there IBANlength, the bankingformat and the account format. The array needs to be used to: Generate a select list (for selecting a country) used to check part for generating numbers used to check part for validating number I don't know if an array is the best way, but that's so far the most knowledge I have.     I have a long NSString, something like "t00010000t00020000t00030000" and so on. I need to split that up into each "t0001000". I'm using... NSArray *tileData = [[GameP objectForKey:@"map"] componentsSeparatedByString:@"t"]; And it splits it up, but the "t" is missing, which I need (although I think I could append it back on). The other way I guess would be to split it up by counting 8 char's, although not sure how to do that. But ideally I need it split into a [][] type array so I can get to each bit with something like... NSString tile = [[tileData objectAtIndex:i] objectAtIndex:j]]; I'm new to obj-c so thanks for any help.

    How can I loop through the array below and an element per array, with key "url_slug" and value "foo"? I tried with array_push but that gets rid of the key names (it seems?) Doing a foreach($array as $k = $v) doesn't do it either, I think. The new array should be exactly the same only having 4 elements per array instead of 3, with the key / values above.     I don't know why I am having so much trouble creating a 3 dimensional list. I need the program to create an empty n by n list. So for n = 4: x = [[[],[],[],[]],[[],[],[],[]],[[],[],[],[]],[[],[],[],[]]] I've tried using: y = [n*[n*[]]] y = [[[]]* n for i in range(n)] Which both appear to be creating copies of a reference. I've also tried naieve application of the list builder with little success: y = [[[]* n for i in range(n)]* n for i in range(n)] y = [[[]* n for i in range(1)]* n for i in range(n)] I've also tried building up the array iteratively using loops, with no success. In my rapid flurry of attempts to not post something stupidly easy to SO, I came upon a solution: y = [] for i in range(0,n): y.append([[]*n for i in range(n)]) Is there an easier/ more intuitive way of doing this?

    I have stored the XML path to items in a string like this: response->items->item. What I need to do is to access an array called $xml_array like this: $xml_array['response']['items']['item'] When I write it in the code it works. The thing is that I want it to be done on the fly.     Hi, I'm working on a Django project where I need to provide a lot of different visualizations on the same data (for example average of a value for each month, for each year / for a location, etc ...). I have been using OLAP database once in college, and I thought that it would fit my needs, but it appears that it is much to heavy for what I need. Actually the volume of data is not very big, so I don't need any optimization, just a way to present different visualizations of the same data without having to write 1000 times the same code. So let's recap : I need a python library : to emulate a multidimensional database (OLAP style would be nice because I think it is quite convenient : stat structure, and everything) non-intrusive, because I can't modify anything on the existing mysql database easy-to-use, because otherwise there's no point in replacing some overhead by another.

  • MATLAB: Need to make a 4D plot (3D + Colour/Color)

    I need to make a 3D surface where colour will represent the fourth variable. I know "surf" is SIMILAR to what I need, but that's not quite it. Basically, I have the following variables: t = [1:m] y = [1:n] a = [1:o] These should be the three Cartesian corodinate axes. I also have a variable S that is of dimensions m x n x o, and is basically the amplitude, a function of the previous three variables (i.e. S = f(t,y,a)). I want this to be represented by colour. So to summarize, I need a graph of the form (t,y,a,S), where the first three variables are vectors of unequal sizes and the final variable is a multidimensional array whose dimensions are determined by the first three.     As seen here How do I convert a Python list into a C array by using ctypes? this code will take a python array and transform it to a C array. import ctypes arr = (ctypes.c_int * len(pyarr))(*pyarr) Which would the way of doing the same with a list of lists or a lists of lists of lists? For example, for the following variable list3d = [[[40.0, 1.2, 6.0, 0.3], [50.0, 4.2, 0, 0]], [[40.0, 1.2, 6.0, 0.3], [50.0, 4.2, 0, 0]], [[40.0, 1.2, 6.0, 0.3], [50.0, 4.2, 0, 0]]] I have tried the following with no luck: ([[ctypes.c_double * 4] *2]*3)(*list3d) # *** TypeError: 'list' object is not callable (ctypes.c_double * 4 *2 *3)(*list3d) # *** TypeError: expected c_double_Array_4_Array_2 instance, got list Thank you! EDIT: Just to clarify, I am trying to get one object that contains the whole multidimensional array, not a list of objects. This object's reference will be an input to a C DLL that expects a 3D array.

    This is probably a completely stupid question, but i'm pretty new at objective-C and programing in general. i'm trying to make an array of arrays but can't manage to make it work : @interface ArraysAndDicts : NSObject { NSMutableArray * mySimpleArray; NSMutableArray * myComplicatedArray; } the implementation : -(void)generateValueForArrayOfArrays { [self generateValueForArray]; //this generates an array with 5 elements 'mySimpleArray' [myComplicatedArray addObject:mySimpleArray]; NSMutableArray * mySecondaryArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [mySecondaryArray addObject:@"twoone"]; [mySecondaryArray addObject:@"twotwo"]; [myComplicatedArray addObject:mySecondaryArray]; (i edited out all the NSLogs for clarity) When running my app, the console tells me : mySecondaryArray count = 2 mySimpleArray count = 5 myComplicatedArraycount = 0 So, i know there are other ways to make multidimensional arrays, but i'd really like to know why this doesn't work.
