  • ZF2 namespace and file system

    - by user1918648
    I have standard Application module in ZF2. It's configured by default, I didn't change anything. I just added some stuff: module/ Application/ src/ Application/ Entity/ Product/ **Product.php** Controller/ **IndexController.php** Product.php namespace Application\Entity; class Product { } IndexController.php namespace Application\Controller; use Zend\Mvc\Controller\AbstractActionController; use Zend\View\Model\ViewModel; use Application\Entity\Product; class IndexController extends AbstractActionController { public function indexAction() { $product = new Product(); } } and I get following error: Fatal error: Class 'Application\Entity\Product' not found in \module\Application\src\Application\Controller\IndexController.php on line 20 I use the same namespace, but it doesn't see it. Why? P.S: If I will change Product.php to be the following: namespace Application\Entity\Product; class Product { } then in the IndexController.php the following code will be working: namespace Application\Controller; use Zend\Mvc\Controller\AbstractActionController; use Zend\View\Model\ViewModel; use Application\Entity\Product\Product; class IndexController extends AbstractActionController { public function indexAction() { $product = new Product(); } }

  • A php namespace called default

    - by michael
<?php namespace default gives me an unexpecected T_DEFAULT, is there any way of working around this? Can I escape the reserved word somehow? My system uses the name of the current module in my site for the namespace so it would be nice to be able to use any string as a namespace.

  • emacs, override indentation

    - by aaa
hi. Hopefully simple question: I have multiply nested namespace: namespace first {namespace second {namespace third { // emacs indents three times // I want to intend here } } } so emacs indents to the third position. However I just want a single indentation. Is it possible to accomplish this effect simply? Thanks

  • referencing desired objects in namespaced functions

    - by RyOnLife
I'm having trouble referencing the desired object when I've namespaced functions. No problems here: obj.test = function() { // this == obj } But I'm getting tripped up when I namespace: obj.namespace.test = function() { // this == namespace } In the latter example, I know this references namespace, but I want to reference obj. How can I do it?

  • Is there a way to reference a certain class/interface/... by enclosing it with its namespace rather than a using directive "using namespace_name" ?!

    - by Ahmed
Is there a way to reference a certain class/interface/... by enclosing it with its namespace rather than a using directive "using namespace_name" ?! As, I'm working on a website, which uses SAP .NET connector. I already added a reference for connector ddl, and while referencing its namespace "using namespace_name", or set class namespace to another one rather than connector namespace, I got error regarding connector classes with that error message "The type or namespace couldn't be found, are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?". But while changing namespace name to connector namespace, everything is going well?! // Set namespace to be IDestinationConfiguration interface namespace. namespace SAP.Middleware.Connector { public class ConnectorConfiguration : IDestinationConfiguration { } } So, connector types forced me to set namespace of class to their namespace! Is this possible? If so, how?

  • Why do we need URIs for XML namespaces?

    - by Patryk
I am trying to figure out why we need URIs for XML namespaces and I cannot find a purpose for that. Can anyone brighten me a little showing their use on a concrete example? EDIT: Ok so for instance: I have this from w3schools <root xmlns:h="http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/" xmlns:f="http://www.w3schools.com/furniture"> <h:table> <h:tr> <h:td>Apples</h:td> <h:td>Bananas</h:td> </h:tr> </h:table> <f:table> <f:name>African Coffee Table</f:name> <f:width>80</f:width> <f:length>120</f:length> </f:table> </root> So what should http://www.w3schools.com/furniture hold ?

  • Organization standards for large programs

    - by Chronicide
I'm the only software developer at the company where I work. I was hired straight out of college, and I've been working here for several years. When I started, eveeryone was managing their own data as they saw fit (lots of filing cabinets). Until recently, I've only been tasked with small standalone projects to help with simple workflows. In the beginning of the year I was asked to make a replacement for their HR software. I used SQL Server, Entity Framework, WPF, along with MVVM and Repository/Unit of work patterns. It was a huge hit. I was very happy with how it went, and it was a very solid program. As such, my employer asked me to expand this program into a corporate dashboard that tracks all of their various corporate data domains (People, Salary, Vehicles/Assets, Statistics, etc.) I use integrated authentication, and due to the initial HR build, I can map users to people in positions, so I know who is who when they open the program, and I can show each person a customized dashboard given their work functions. My concern is that I've never worked on such a large project. I'm planning, meeting with end users, developing, documenting, testing and deploying it on my own. I'm part way through the second addition, and I'm seeing that my code is getting disorganized. It's still programmed well, I'm just struggling with the organization of namespaces, classes and the database model. Are there any good guidelines to follow that will help me keep everything straight? As I have it now, I have folders for Data, Repositories/Unit of Work, Views, View Models, XAML Resources and Miscellaneous Utilities. Should I make parent folders for each data domain? Should I make separate EF models per domain instead of the one I have for the entire database? Are there any standards out there for organizing large programs that span multiple data domains? I would appreciate any suggestions.

  • Should package structure closely resemble class hierarchy?

    - by Panzercrisis
Pretty simple question. Should package structure closely resemble class hierarchy? If so, how closely? Why or why not? For instance, let's say you've got class A and class B, plus class AFactory and class BFactory. You put class A and class B in the package com.something.elements, and you put AFactory and BFactory in com.something.elements.factories. AFactory and BFactory would be further down the hierarchy package-wise, but they'd be further up class-wise. Is this sort of thing a good idea or a bad idea?

  • What is meant by namespaced content and what advantages does it have?

    - by Geek
I was reading this blog by James Bennett regarding HTML vs XHTML . He writes : I don’t have any need for namespaced content; I’m not displaying any complex mathematical notation here and don’t plan to, and I don’t use SVG for any images. So that’s one advantage of XHTML out the window. I also don’t have any need for XML tools; all the processing I need to do can be handled by HTML-parsing libraries like BeautifulSoup. That’s the other advantage gone. What does he mean by namespaced content and what advantage does it provide us ?

  • ASP.net DAL DatasSet and Table Adapter not in namespace - Northwind Tutorial

    - by Alan
I've been attempting to walk through the "Creating a Data Access Layer" tutorial found http://www.asp.net/learn/data-access/tutorial-01-cs.aspx I create the DB connection, create the typed dataset and table adapter, specify the sql, etc. When I add the code to the presentation layer (in this case a page called AllProducts.aspx) I am unable to find the NorthwindTableAdapters.ProductsTableAdapter class. I tried to import the NorthwindTableAdapters namespace, but it is not showing up. Looking in the solution explorer Class View confirms that there is a Northwind class, but not the namespace I'm looking for. I've tried several online tutorials that all have essentially the same steps, and I'm getting the same results. Can anyone give me a push in the right direction? I'm getting error: Namespace or type specified in the Imports 'NorthwindTableAdapters' doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found. Make sure the namespace or the type is defined and contains at least one public member. I think I might need to add a reference OR they may be creating a separate class and importing it into their main project. If that's the case, the tutorials do not mention this. SuppliersTest2.aspx.vb: Imports NorthwindTableAdapters Partial Class SuppliersTest2 Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load Dim suppliersAdapter As New SuppliersTableAdapter GridView1.DataSource = suppliersAdapter.GetAllSuppliers() GridView1.DataBind() End Sub End Class

  • Replacing a Namespace with XSLT

    - by er4z0r
Hi I want to work around a 'bug' in certain RSS-feeds, which use an incorrect namespace for the mediaRSS module. I tried to do it by manipulating the DOM programmatically, but using XSLT seems more flexible to me. Example: <media:thumbnail xmlns:media="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss" url="http://www.suedkurier.de/storage/pic/dpa/infoline/brennpunkte/4311018_0_merkelxI_24280028_original.large-4-3-800-199-0-3131-2202.jpg" /> <media:thumbnail url="http://www.suedkurier.de/storage/pic/dpa/infoline/brennpunkte/4311018_0_merkelxI_24280028_original.large-4-3-800-199-0-3131-2202.jpg" /> Where the namespace must be http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/ (mind the slash). This is my stylesheet: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="//*[namespace-uri()='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss']"> <xsl:element name="{local-name()}" namespace="http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/" > <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|*|text()" /> </xsl:element> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Unfortunately the result of the transformation is an invalid XML and my RSS-Parser (ROME Library) does not parse the feed anymore: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Root element not set at org.jdom.Document.getRootElement(Document.java:218) at com.sun.syndication.io.impl.RSS090Parser.isMyType(RSS090Parser.java:58) at com.sun.syndication.io.impl.FeedParsers.getParserFor(FeedParsers.java:72) at com.sun.syndication.io.WireFeedInput.build(WireFeedInput.java:273) at com.sun.syndication.io.WireFeedInput.build(WireFeedInput.java:251) ... 8 more What is wrong with my stylesheet?

  • Detecting Xml namespace fast

    - by Anna Tjsoken
Hello there, This may be a very trivial problem I'm trying to solve, but I'm sure there's a better way of doing it. So please go easy on me. I have a bunch of XSD files that are internal to our application, we have about 20-30 Xml files that implement datasets based off those XSDs. Some Xml files are small (<100Kb), others are about 3-4Mb with a few being over 10Mb. I need to find a way of working out what namespace these Xml files are in order to provide (something like) intellisense based off the XSD. The implementation of this is not an issue - another developer has written the code for this. But I'm not sure the best (and fastest!) way of detecting the namespace is without the use of XmlDocument (which does a full parse). I'm using C# 3.5 and the documents come through as a Stream (some are remote files). All the files are *.xml (I can detect if it was extension based) but unfortunately the Xml namespace is the only way. Right now I've tried XmlDocument but I've found it to be innefficient and slow as the larger documents are awaiting to be parsed (even the 100Kb docs). public string GetNamespaceForDocument(Stream document); Something like the above is my method signature - overloads include string for "content". Would a RegEx (compiled) pattern be good? How does Visual Studio manage this so efficiently? Another college has told me to find a fast Xml parser in C/C++, parse the content and have a stub that gives back the namespace as its slower in .NET, is this a good idea?

  • Add namespace to XmlTextWriter using C#

    - by xml
Hi, I have an serializeable class that his root is serizlized to XmlRootAttribute with namespace. I want to add additional namespace to this root elemt, how can i do it? adding XmlAttribute failed to compile. • clojure: ExceptionInInitializerError in Namespace.<init> loading from a non-default classpath

What's going on here? I'm trying to write a plugin for the BaseX database in Clojure; the above accurately represents how their plugin-loading mechanism works for the purpose of providing a SSCE for this problem.

  • Namespace scoped aliases for generic types in C#

    - by TN
Let's have a following example: public class X { } public class Y { } public class Z { } public delegate IDictionary<Y, IList<Z>> Bar(IList<X> x, int i); public interface IFoo { // ... Bar Bar { get; } } public class Foo : IFoo { // ... public Bar Bar { get { return null; //... } } } void Main() { IFoo foo; //= ... IEnumerable<IList<X>> source; //= ... var results = source.Select(foo.Bar); } The compiler says: The type arguments for method 'System.Linq.Enumerable.Select(System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable, System.Func)' cannot be inferred from the usage. Try specifying the type arguments explicitly. It's because, it cannot convert Bar to Func<IList<X>, int, IDictionary<Y, IList<Z>>>. It would be great if I could create type namespace scoped type aliases for generic types in C#. Then I would define Bar not as a delegate, but rather I would define it as an namespace scoped alias for Func<IList<X>, int, IDictionary<Y, IList<Z>>>. public alias Bar = Func<IList<X>, int, IDictionary<Y, IList<Z>>>; I could then also define namespace scoped alias for e.g. IDictionary<Y, IList<Z>>. And if used appropriately:), it will make the code more readable. Now I have inline the generic types and the real code is not well readable:( Have you find the same trouble:)? Is there any good reason why it is not in C# 3.0? Or there is no good reason, it's just matter of money and/or time? EDIT: I know that I can use using, but it is not namespace based - not so convenient for my case.

  • A Custom View Engine with Dynamic View Location

    - by imran_ku07
Introduction:          One of the nice feature of ASP.NET MVC framework is its pluggability. This means you can completely replace the default view engine(s) with a custom one. One of the reason for using a custom view engine is to change the default views location and sometimes you need to change the views location at run-time. For doing this, you can extend the default view engine(s) and then change the default views location variables at run-time.  But, you cannot directly change the default views location variables at run-time because they are static and shared among all requests. In this article, I will show you how you can dynamically change the views location without changing the default views location variables at run-time.       Description:           Let's say you need to synchronize the views location with controller name and controller namespace. So, instead of searching to the default views location(Views/ControllerName/ViewName) to locate views, this(these) custom view engine(s) will search in the Views/ControllerNameSpace/ControllerName/ViewName folder to locate views.           First of all create a sample ASP.NET MVC 3 application and then add these custom view engines to your application,   public class MyRazorViewEngine : RazorViewEngine { public MyRazorViewEngine() : base() { AreaViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; AreaMasterLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; AreaPartialViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; ViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; MasterLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; PartialViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.vbhtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.cshtml", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.vbhtml" }; } protected override IView CreatePartialView(ControllerContext controllerContext, string partialPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.CreatePartialView(controllerContext, partialPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } protected override IView CreateView(ControllerContext controllerContext, string viewPath, string masterPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.CreateView(controllerContext, viewPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace), masterPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } protected override bool FileExists(ControllerContext controllerContext, string virtualPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.FileExists(controllerContext, virtualPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } } public class MyWebFormViewEngine : WebFormViewEngine { public MyWebFormViewEngine() : base() { MasterLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.master", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.master" }; AreaMasterLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.master", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.master", }; ViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.aspx", "~/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.ascx", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.aspx", "~/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.ascx" }; AreaViewLocationFormats = new[] { "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.aspx", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/{1}/{0}.ascx", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.aspx", "~/Areas/{2}/Views/%1/Shared/{0}.ascx", }; PartialViewLocationFormats = ViewLocationFormats; AreaPartialViewLocationFormats = AreaViewLocationFormats; } protected override IView CreatePartialView(ControllerContext controllerContext, string partialPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.CreatePartialView(controllerContext, partialPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } protected override IView CreateView(ControllerContext controllerContext, string viewPath, string masterPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.CreateView(controllerContext, viewPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace), masterPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } protected override bool FileExists(ControllerContext controllerContext, string virtualPath) { var nameSpace = controllerContext.Controller.GetType().Namespace; return base.FileExists(controllerContext, virtualPath.Replace("%1", nameSpace)); } }             Here, I am extending the RazorViewEngine and WebFormViewEngine class and then appending /%1 in each views location variable, so that we can replace /%1 at run-time. I am also overriding the FileExists, CreateView and CreatePartialView methods. In each of these method implementation, I am replacing /%1 with controller namespace. Now, just register these view engines in Application_Start method in Global.asax.cs file,   protected void Application_Start() { ViewEngines.Engines.Clear(); ViewEngines.Engines.Add(new MyRazorViewEngine()); ViewEngines.Engines.Add(new MyWebFormViewEngine()); ................................................ ................................................ }             Now just create a controller and put this controller's view inside Views/ControllerNameSpace/ControllerName folder and then run this application. You will find that everything works just fine.       Summary:          ASP.NET MVC uses convention over configuration to locate views. For many applications this convention to locate views is acceptable. But sometimes you may need to locate views at run-time. In this article, I showed you how you can dynamically locate your views by using a custom view engine. I am also attaching a sample application. Hopefully you will enjoy this article too. • BizTalk: namespaces

    - by Leonid Ganeline
BizTalk team did a good job hiding the .NET guts from developers. Developers are working with editors and hardly with .NET code. The Orchestration editor, the Mapper, the Schema editor, the Pipeline editor, all these editors hide what is going on with artifacts created and deployed. Working with the BizTalk artifacts year after year brings us some knowledge which could help to understand more about the .NET guts. I would like to highlight the .NET namespaces. What they are, how they influence our everyday tasks in the BizTalk application development. What is it? Most of the BizTalk artifacts are compiled into the NET classes. Not all of them… but I will show you later. Classes are placed inside the namespaces. I will not describe here why we need namespaces and what is it. I assume you all know about it more then me. Here I would like to emphasize that almost each BizTalk artifact is implemented as a .NET class within a .NET namespace. Where to see the namespaces in development? The namespaces are inconsistently spread across the artifact parameters. Let’s start with namespace placement in development. Then we go with namespaces in deployment and operations. I am using pictures from the BizTalk Server 2013 Beta and the Visual Studio 2012 but there was no changes regarding the namespaces starting from the BizTalk 2006. Default namespace When a new BizTalk project is created, the default namespace is set up the same as a name of a project. This namespace would be used for all new BizTalk artifacts added to this project. Orchestrations When we select a green or a red markers (the Begin and End orchestration shapes) we will see the orchestration Properties window. We also can click anywhere on the space between Port Surfaces to see this window.   Schemas The only way to see the NET namespace for map is selecting the schema file name into the Solution Explorer. Notes: We can also see the Type Name parameter. It is a name of the correspondent .NET class. We can also see the Fully Qualified Name parameter. We cannot see the schema namespace when selecting any node on the schema editor surface. Only selecting a schema file name gives us a namespace parameter. If we select a <Schema> node we can get the Target Namespace parameter of the schema. This is NOT the .NET namespace! It is an XML namespace. See this XML namespace inside the XML schema, it is shown as a special targetNamespace attribute Here this XML namespace appears inside the XML document itself. It is shown as a special xmlns attribute.   Maps It is similar to the schemas. The only way to see the NET namespace for map is selecting a map file name into the Solution Explorer. Pipelines It is similar to the schemas. The only way to see the NET namespace for pipeline is selecting a pipeline file name into the Solution Explorer. z Ports, Policies and Tracking Profiles The Send and Receive Ports, the Policies and the BAM Tracking Profiles do not create the .NET classes and they do not have the associated .NET namespaces. How to copy artifacts? Since the new versions of the BizTalk Server are going to production I am spending more and more time redesigning and refactoring the BizTalk applications. It is good to know how the refactoring process copes with the .NET namespaces. Let see what is going on with the namespaces when we copy the artifacts from one project to another. Here is an example: I am going to group the artifacts under the project folders. So, I have created a Group folder, have run the Add / Existing Item.. command and have chosen all artifacts in the project root. The artifact copies were created in the Group folder: What was happened with the namespaces of the artifacts? As you can see, the folder name, the “Group”, was added to the namespace. It is great! When I added a folder, I have added one more level in the name hierarchy and the namespace change just reflexes this hierarchy change.  The same namespace adjustment happens when we copy the BizTalk artifacts between the projects. But there is an issue with the namespace of an orchestration. It was not changed. The namespaces of the schemas, maps, pipelines are changed but not the orchestration namespace. I have to change the orchestration namespace manually. Now another example: I am creating a new Project folder and moving the artifacts there from the project root by drag and drop. We will mention the artifact namespaces are not changed. Another example: I am copying the artifacts from the project root by (drag and drop) + Ctrl. We will mention the artifact namespaces are changed. It works exactly as it was with the Add / Existing Item.. command. Conclusion: The namespace parameter is put inconsistently in different places for different artifacts Moving artifacts changes the namespaces of the schemas, maps, pipelines but not the orchestrations.

  • XML deserialization problem (attribute with a namespace)

hi, I'm trying to deserialize the following XML node (RDF actually) into a class. <rdf:Description rdf:about="http://d.opencalais.com/genericHasher-1/dae360d4-25f1-34a7-9c70-d5f7e4cfe175"> <rdf:type rdf:resource="http://s.opencalais.com/1/type/em/e/Country"/> <c:name>Egypt</c:name> </rdf:Description> [Serializable] [XmlRoot(Namespace = "http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#", ElementName = "Description")] public class BasicEntity { [XmlElement(Namespace = "http://s.opencalais.com/1/pred/", ElementName = "name")] public string Name { get; set; } [XmlAttribute("about", Namespace = "http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#")] public string Uri { get; set; } } The name element is parsed correctly but the about attribute isn't. • Most used .NET namespace

    - by Michael Prewecki
What is your most commonly used namespace in .NET. I know it will vary greatly based upon the types of projects you develop but the stack overflow audience should provide a fairly decent sample set for the types of .NET projects being developed. I'm simply interest in the name of the namespace (one namespace per answer and no one person should have more than one answer, if someone else has the same answer as you then just upvote their answer). Try to be as specific as possible (so answering System, isn't helpful). I'm after this information to help new developers focus their attention on the most common .NET namespaces...there are after all thousands of them! To start off mine is almost certainly System.Collections.Generic, I use lists of things everywhere.

  • ASP.NET 3.5 Web Site stopped importing System namespace by default

    - by Alexis
I have a VB Web Site project that has recently (and mysteriously) stopped importing the "System" namespace by default. I'm having to either place a "Imports System" line at the top of each code behind, or preface everything with "System", which is fairly annoying, not to mention redundant. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the System namespace back to being imported by default. I've already checked to see that WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\web.config contains the <add namespace="System"/> line--it does. That was my best lead. I'm tearing my hair out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Devise within namespace

    - by Harm de Wit
Hey, I'm trying to split my rails project in a front-end for regular users and a back-end for admins. Therefore i have created a namespace 'admin' so that i can easily control admin specific controller methods/layouts/authentication in the map admin. I'm using Devise to register/authenticate my admins only. Because it is only used for admins only i'm trying to move Devise to the admin namespace. I could not find exactly what i was looking for in the documentation of Devise but i tried something like this in routes.rb: namespace 'admin'do devise_for :admins end I also tried to make a custom Devise::Sessions controller but that too didn't seem to work out. Does anyone know how to do this? Should i just use the regular routes for devise with a custom(admin) layout?

  • Java xsd validation of xml without namespace

    - by Darkflare
Hi, I want to validate an xml file against an xsd schema. The xml files root element does not have any namespace or xsi details. It has no attributes so just . I have tried the following code from http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-javaxmlvalidapi.html with no luck as I receive cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of element 'root' SchemaFactory factory = SchemaFactory.newInstance("http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"); File schemaFile = new File("schema.xsd"); Schema xsdScheme = factory.newSchema(schemaFile); Validator validator = xsdScheme.newValidator(); Source source = new StreamSource(xmlfile); validator.validate(source); The xml validates fine with the namespace headers included etc (added via xmlspy), but I would have thought the xml namespace could be declared without having to manually edit the source file?

  • display classes of a namespace in visual studio (C#)

    - by ericyoung7001
I am a Java programmer, and just starting to use Visual Studio to do C# programming. In Java IDE such as Eclipse, if I do not know the classname in a package, I can just type a dot (.) after a package name, then I will get a list of all the classes in that package in the IDE. How I can configure visual studio to do the similar thing, say, if I click a namespace name in a file (for example, using System), or add a dot after the namespace, all the classes in that namespace will be displayed somewhere in the IDE?

  • hiding inner class implementation using namespace

    - by Abruzzo Forte e Gentile
    Hi all I am developing a library and a would like to provide my users a public interface separate from the real implementatino that is hidden in a namespace. This way, I could change only the class HiddenQueue without changing myQueue that will be exposed to users only. If I put the C++ code of HiddenQueue in the myQueue.cpp file the compiler complains saying _innerQueue has incomplete type. I thought that the linker was able to resolve this. What I am doing wrong here? Thanks Afg // myQueue.h namespace inner{ class HiddenQueue; }; class myQueue{ public: myQueue(); ); private: inner::HiddenQueue _innerQueue; }; /////////////////////////// // myQueue.cpp namespace inner{ class HiddenQueue{}; };

  • How do you render a rails partial that is outside of a namespace in a view that is inside of a namespace?

    - by iand675
I've got a 'static' controller and static views that are pages that don't utilize ruby in their views. For these pages, I have a sitemap partial that is generated programatically and used in the application layout file. Namespaced routes still use the application layout file but are taking the static routes and trying to namespace them too. Here's the relevant portion of the route file: namespace :admin do resources :verse_categories resources :verses resources :songs resources :flowers resources :visits, :except => [:new, :create] end match ':action' => 'static' root :to => 'static#home' Here's the error I'm getting: No route matches {:controller=>"admin/static", :action=>"about"} Note that about is one of the static pages that the sitemap partial uses. So, how can I resolve this routing issue so that it's not trying to find my static sites inside of the admin namespace? Any help would be appreciated!
