  • Django: Site-Wide URL Prefix

    I've built a Django site that will live at the root when it's live. Right now it's functioning perfectly at the IP address. For testing purposes, the client has pointed a proxy url at it, but the url has /folder/path in it, so none of the URL patterns match. I put (/folder/path)? into all the url patterns so they now respond, but all of the links are broken because I'm using the {% url %} tag and while the url patterns will match the optional path, they don't include it in that tag. Clearly I can just hard-code /folder/path into all of my urls (well, into all of the url includes) until testing is complete, but is there a better way to do this?

  • Controller name convention in ASP.NET MVC

    Is there a way to change the naming convention for controllers in ASP.NET MVC? What I want is to name my controllers InicioControlador instead of InicioController, or better yet, use a prefix instead of a suffix, and have ControladorInicio as my controller name. From what I have read so far, I think I have to implement my own Controller Factory. I would be very grateful if any of you could point me in the right direction.

I have a bunch of images on a page that are contained within a div with a class of content-block like this: <div class="content-block"> <img src="../images/path/path/image.jpg" alt="blah" title="blah" /> <img src="../images/path/path/image.jpg" alt="blah" title="blah" /> <img src="../images/path/path/image.jpg" alt="blah" title="blah" /> <img src="../images/path/path/image.jpg" alt="blah" title="blah" /> <img src="../images/path/path/image.jpg" alt="blah" title="blah" /> </div> I am loading this html into a div via ajax. When I load it in I need to remove the "../" before the image path, after it loads in so the path remains correct. Can this be done with JQuery? Many thanks in advance.

It has to be the selector that's getting "hacked" and not the CSS-properties. In Mozilla, you can use: @-moz-document url-prefix() { h1 { color: red; } } While in Webkit, you usually do: @media screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio:0) { h1 { color: blue; } } How would I do something similar in IE10?     Background: I'm trying to come up with a regex for a rewrite rule that will take anything that does not start with a particular prefix, and add that prefix to it. But urls that already have the prefix should be rejected by the regular expression (because they already have the url). Example: If the prefix is s1 a string like home will capture the home part. But a string like s1/home, will not capture anything. This way I can add the capture group onto the prefix, so that 'home' will become 's1/home'. I've tried (^s1/), but I'm missing something here, because that rejected 'home' for some reason.

    Why is this example of code behaving differently in c++ and C#. [C++ Example] int arr[2]; int index = 0; arr[index] = ++index; The result of which will be arr[1] = 1; [C# Example] int[] arr = new int[2]; int index = 0; arr[index] = ++index; The result of which will be arr[0] = 1; I find this very strange. Surely there must be some rationale for both languages to implement it differently? I wonder what would C++/CLI output?

  • How should I compress a file with multiple bytes that are the same with Huffman coding?

    On my great quest for compressing/decompressing files with a Java implementation of Huffman coding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huffman_coding) for a school assignment, I am now at the point of building a list of prefix codes. Such codes are used when decompressing a file. Basically, the code is made of zeroes and ones, that are used to follow a path in a Huffman tree (left or right) for, ultimately, finding a byte. In this Wikipedia image, to reach the character m the prefix code would be 0111 The idea is that when you compress the file, you will basically convert all the bytes of the file into prefix codes instead (they tend to be smaller than 8 bits, so there's some gain). So every time the character m appears in a file (which in binary is actually 1101101), it will be replaced by 0111 (if we used the tree above). Therefore, 1101101110110111011011101101 becomes 0111011101110111 in the compressed file. I'm okay with that. But what if the following happens: In the file to be compressed there exists only one unique byte, say 1101101. There are 1000 of such byte. Technically, the prefix code of such byte would be... none, because there is no path to follow, right? I mean, there is only one unique byte anyway, so the tree has just one node. Therefore, if the prefix code is none, I would not be able to write the prefix code in the compressed file, because, well, there is nothing to write. Which brings this problem: how would I compress/decompress such file if it is impossible to write a prefix code when compressing? (using Huffman coding, due to the school assignment's rules) This tutorial seems to explain a bit better about prefix codes: http://www.cprogramming.com/tutorial/computersciencetheory/huffman.html but doesn't seem to address this issue either.

    Does anyone know how I can go about updating the version of wine that one prefix uses without self-destructing everything in it? I want to bring it from 1.4 to 1.5.5 - I read on a forum that someone got the microphone working in Rosetta Stone with Ubuntu 12.04 and wine 1.5.5. Thanks to zuberuber I was able to approach the issue in a different light. :) I made a new prefix called "test" in PlayOnLinux. I compared the new prefix with the Rosetta prefix. It contained a PlayOnLinux.cfg file along with the reg files. It contained: ARCH=x86 VERSION=1.5.0 I copied this over to the Rosetta prefix and adjusted it: ARCH=x86 VERSION=1.4.1 After doing that, I was able to change it from 1.4.1 to 1.5.0. I confirmed it in the prefix's winecfg's About tab.

  • Django repeating vars/cache issue?

    I'm trying to build a better/more powerful form class for Django. It's working well, except for these sub-forms. Actually, it works perfectly right after I re-start apache, but after I refresh the page a few times, my HTML output starts to look like this: <input class="text" type="text" id="pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-id-pickup_addr-venue" value="" name="pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-pickup_addr-venue" /> The pickup_addr- part starts repeating many times. I was looking for loops around the prefix code that might have cause this to happen, but the output isn't even consistent when I refresh the page, so I think something is getting cached somewhere, but I can't even imagine how that's possible. The prefix car should be reset when the class is initialized, no?     Suppose a set of custom-built gcc/glibc/binutils are in $prefix (e.g. /home/user/path) I want: gcc to look for libraries in $prefix/lib64 instead of /lib64 gcc to look for headers in $prefix/include instead of /include to use $prefix/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 as the (hard-coded) loader path instead of /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 the dynamic loader to look for shared libraries in $prefix/lib64 instead of /lib64 How should I configure the builds? Do I need to modify gcc's specs file or do anything else?
