I've executed the example on their website as Java app and it works. https://www.twilio.com/docs/quickstart/java/sms/sending-via-rest When I want to make the same in a Java Google App Engine app, it don't and it display a message ("The method GET is not supported") Can someone share a step by step tutorial on how to make my Java GAE webb app to send SMSes please ?     I want to a Java ME application that transfers any SMS received to a PC using bluetooth. The PC can then direct the Java ME application via bluetooth to send a response SMS. Is there library available for this architecture or I have to design it myself? Is this approach correct or a better one exists? I want to use bluetooth as then I will not have dependency on the cable.

  • Changing default gateway on workstations connected to Windows Domain SBS server

    We have xp workstations connected onto a small business server acting as active directory/isa firewall/proxy (no dhcp). Is there a reason that after installing a 2nd firewall on the network (same subnet etc), that changing the default gateway on the workstations isnt sufficient to route inet traffic through the new firewall? A freshly setup linux box connects straight on to the alternate firewall with just ip, default gateway. dns settings. Will having ISA still active on the network confuse the process? Are there further config settings deeper down in windows that need attention? Any ideas pointers on this would be appreciated? Other info: Firewalls tried: Smoothwall and Ipcop; small ethernet netwoork 40 pcs; can ping to new firwalls from workstations; activating web proxy on new firewall and reconfiguring workstation browser works fine; Point of 2nd firewall is lack of some necessary features on ISA for a linux app; Would be nice to have some redundancy to though

    I am trying to make an iptables gateway. I ordered 3 dedicated server from my hosting company all with dual nics. One server has been given all the ip addresses and is connected directly to the internet and has its other nic connected to a switch where the other servers are all connected also. I want to setup iptables so for example the ip address 50.0.2.4 comes into my gateway server it fowards all the traffic to a private ip address using the second nic. This way the second nic can do what ever it needs and can respond back also. I also want it setup that if any of the other servers needs to download anything over the inernet it is able to do so and by using the same ip address that is used for its incomming traffic. Lastly I would like to be able to setup dns and other needed networking stuff that i maybe not thinking about.

  • How to tell Windows 7 to ignore a default gateway

    I currently have 2 network cards in my PC -- one connected to an internal network on a router with a disconnected WAN port (10.x.x.x), and one connected to the internet through a consumer router (192.168.0.x). Windows seems to recognize them correctly (my "Network and Sharing Center" lists them as "No Internet" and "Internet" respectively), however when I try browsing the internet it always tries the internal network's default gateway, rather than the one with internet access. Trying to ping a website results in "Reply from 10.0.0.1: Destination net unreachable.". A simple "route delete 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 10.0.0.1" fixes the problems, but they return upon reboot, or upon renewing my IP. Is there any way to tell Windows to ignore one NIC's default gateway, or to at least give them priorities?

    I'm looking at moving away from using my DIR-825 as a gateway and moving into a Linux box to do it all for me. I've found IPCop, but I'm looking for something with a little more power. My main goal is basically to be able to point different external domain names to different internal servers. backup.example.com - 192.168.0.5 home.example.com - 192.168.0.1 I host my DNS on my own dedicated server (windows), so I don't know much about doing the gateway thing in my home (my hosting provider does it all for me). Do any of you know of any free Linux Distros that can accomplish what I'm looking for?

  • VPN doesn't have access to drives unless I use the default gateway

    I am trying to setup a VPN connection on one of our office servers so that many of our employees can access our drives when out of town or for important business meetings. However I have a weird glitch in where if the default gateway option is checked they can see the drives and files, but get no internet access. If I have the default gateway option unchecked then they have there internet and can successfully connect to the VPN, but they are not able to see any of the drives or files. The server is running Windows Server 2003 Standard while the employees run either XP or 7 Professional. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you. EDIT The VPN setup is PPTP and the main server is behind a SonicWall if that is of any importance.

  • Ubuntu 12.04 Transparent proxy gateway

    i have a ubuntu server which i want to use as a transparent proxy, (i have no issue setting up squid, just the iptables. The server only has one network interface. The server sits on the same subnet as the router which is the current gateway to the internet for clients, i want to simply set the gateway on the clients pointing at the transparent proxy which in turn forwards the requests to the router and off to the internet.   • OpenBSD: Gateway outside subnet (works in Linux)

    We need to set up an OpenBSD host to use a default gateway that's outside of it's subnet. This is all I need to do on Linux (not the actual IPs) to achieve it: ifconfig eth0 33.33.33.33/31 up route add 33.33.33.254 dev eth0 route add default gw 33.33.33.254 The problem is that we don't know the proper equivalent of the middle command in OpenBSD. The man page says: If the destination is directly reachable via an interface requiring no intermediary system to act as a gateway, the -iface modifier should be specified; Sadly we can't seem to figure out how to make it work with that. Here I went through the posted answers and suggested choices and I realized that to implement pagination in an application I could still write db level queries and ensure that I could implement pagination, even if in a crude form. However I have few follow up questions now: I am trying to show SMS from a content provider. Suppose I don't want to use content provider; can I access SMS table in database through my application. Aoes android's security framework allow that? How do people generally handle pagination problems in android, related to content that they are not storing but instead are fetching through content providers. (Android's own or custom) Isn't this a bigger problem. I am surprised to find so little text online about it.

    Hi Guys, In my iPhone app, I have ASCII art, which I am sharing via email and SMS. I have inserted the ASCII art into the Sqlite database along with the newline character and spaces. Problem is when I send them through SMS and Email, the whole ASCII art comes in left alignment and spacing between characters is lost.     I'm writing an app using sms as communication. I have chosen to subscribe to an sms-gateway, which provides me with an API for doing so. The API has functions for sending as well as pulling new messages. It does however not have any kind of push functionality. In order to do my queries most efficient, I'm seeking data on how long time people wait before they answer a text message - as a probability function. Extra info: The application is interactive (as can be), so I suppose the times will be pretty similar to real life human-human communication. I don't believe differences in personal style will play a big impact on the right times and frequencies to query, so average data should be fine.

    hey all, I have to make a SMS sending application in .NET, which uses the attached Blackberry handset(blackberry tour 9630 to be precise) to send SMS. I have never worked on smartphone application development, so want help in doing this.   • Can Connect to 3G Modem via GSMComm but cannot see any SMS

    Hi, I'm trying to write an application that receives SMS messages into the app I'm developing (in C# if you care :). Research indicates the best bet is to use GSMComm library. I've downloaded the library and using the demo app I have managed to connect to the 3g modem (a Huawei E1756) but when I query it for SMS's received it comes back with 0. Interestingly if I use the software that comes with the application then I can see the messages. Anyone got any clues on why this would be? Or other tips on how to retrieve the messages? Cheers, Kym
