USB Keyboard doesn't work in Ubuntu 14.04
- by Steven Crossan
My USB keyboard isn't working in Ubuntu 14.04, but also didn't work in 13.10. I upgraded today in the hope that the issue would be resolved, but it wasn't. The keyboard works in BIOS and GRUB but stops working when I reach the login screen.
It is detected by the system, but just doesn't work.

I added:
hid
usbhid
hid_generic
ohci_pci
To /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and did update-initramfs -u, but that didn't work.
I'm new to Ubuntu/Linux and any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
