  • rewrite on urls to add “/”

    - by Jean
Hello, I know how to rewrite urls to redirect to a page. When the "/" is not at the end of www.DomainName.com/user/myUserName the redirect works: RewriteRule /$ /user/index.php When I write RewriteBase / the above rule does not work, but a 404 error. How to add a "/" at the end of www.DomainName.com/user/myUserName/ and still redirect to /user/index.php. This can be written into the .htaccess or httpd.conf Thanks Jean

  • Need help with an .htaccess URL rewriter

    - by AlexV
I'm trying to do another SEO system with PHP/.htaccess... I need the following rules to apply: Must catch all URLs that do not end with an extension (www.foo.com -- catch | www.foo.com/catch-me -- catch | www.foo.com/dont-catch.me -- don't catch). Must catch all URLs that end with .php* (.php, .php4...) (thwaw are the exceptions to rule #1). All rules must only apply in some directories and not in their subdirectories (/ and /framework so far). The htaccess must send the typed URL in a GET value so I can work with it in PHP. Any mod-rewrite wizard can help me?

  • Wordpress pages address rewrite

    - by kemp
UPDATE I tried using the internal wordpress rewrite. What I have to do is an address like this: http://example.com/galleria/artist-name sent to the gallery.php page with a variable containing the artist-name. I used these rules as per Wordpress' documentation: // REWRITE RULES (per gallery) {{{ add_filter('rewrite_rules_array','wp_insertMyRewriteRules'); add_filter('query_vars','wp_insertMyRewriteQueryVars'); add_filter('init','flushRules'); // Remember to flush_rules() when adding rules function flushRules(){ global $wp_rewrite; $wp_rewrite->flush_rules(); } // Adding a new rule function wp_insertMyRewriteRules($rules) { $newrules = array(); $newrules['(galleria)/(.*)$'] = 'index.php?pagename=gallery&galleryname=$matches[2]'; return $newrules + $rules; } // Adding the id var so that WP recognizes it function wp_insertMyRewriteQueryVars($vars) { array_push($vars, 'galleryname'); return $vars; } what's weird now is that on my local wordpress test install, that works fine: the gallery page is called and the galleryname variable is passed. On the real site, on the other hand, the initial URL is accepted (as in it doesn't go into a 404) BUT it changes to http://example.com/gallery (I mean it actually changes in the browser's address bar) and the variable is not defined in gallery.php. Any idea what could possibly cause this different behavior? Alternatively, any other way I couldn't think of which could achieve the same effect described in the first three lines is perfectly fine. Old question What I need to do is rewriting this address: (1) http://localhost/wordpress/fake/text-value to (2) http://localhost/wordpress/gallery?somevar=text-value Notes: the remapping must be transparent: the user always has to see address (1) gallery is a permalink to a wordpress page, not a real address I basically need to rewrite the address first (to modify it) and then feed it back to mod rewrite again (to let wordpress parse it its own way). Problems if I simply do RewriteRule ^fake$ http://localhost/wordpress/gallery [L] it works but the address in the browser changes, which is no good, if I do RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [L] I get a 404. I tried different flags instead of [L] but to no avail. How can I get this to work? EDIT: full .htaccess # BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^fake$ /wordpress/gallery [R] RewriteBase /wordpress/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /wordpress/index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress

  • Web.config WordPress rewrite rules next to Magento

    - by Flo
    I've installed Magento on IIS in folder: E:\mydomain\wwwroot (I already have it all running correctly). I have no deeper folder magento, I placed all files directly in the wwwroot folder, so: wwwroot\app wwwroot\downloader wwwroot\errors wwwroot\includes etc... UPDATE: since I'm on IIS my .htaccess is ignored completely and my web.config rules are used instead. Here's my web.config in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Magento SEO: remove index.php from URL"> <match url="^(?!index.php)([^?#]*)(\\?([^#]*))?(#(.*))?" /> <conditions> <add input="{URL}" pattern="^/(media|skin|js)/" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> </conditions> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php/{R:0}" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> Next, I wanted to install WordPress. I unzipped all files in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot\wordpress Browsed to www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, where I configured everything for my database. Everything was installed correctly. I then navigate to http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php where I type my credentials. I seem to be logged in and am redirected to http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/ But there I receive an empty page. I enabled detailed error message in IIS following this article: http://www.iis.net/learn/troubleshoot/diagnosing-http-errors/how-to-use-http-detailed-errors-in-iis I also checkec with Fiddler and see that I receive a 500 error: GET /wordpress/wp-admin/ HTTP/1.1 Host: www.mydomain.com Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,/;q=0.8 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/29.0.1547.76 Safari/537.36 Referer: http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8,nl;q=0.6 Cookie: wordpress_fabec4083cf12d8de89c98e8aef4b7e3=floran%7C1381236774%7C2d8edb4fc6618f290fadb49b035cad31; wordpress_test_cookie=WP+Cookie+check; wordpress_logged_in_fabec4083cf12d8de89c98e8aef4b7e3=floran%7C1381236774%7Cbf822163926b8b8df16d0f1fefb6e02e HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By: PHP/5.4.14 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Sun, 06 Oct 2013 12:56:03 GMT Content-Length: 0 My WordPress web.config in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot\wordpress contains: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="wordpress" patternSyntax="Wildcard"> <match url="*"/> <conditions> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" negate="true"/> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" negate="true"/> </conditions> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php"/> </rule></rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> I also want my WordPress articles to be available on www.mydomain.com/blog instead of www.mydomain.com/wordpress Ofcourse my admin links for Magento and Wordpress should also work. • .htaccess url rewrite with ssl redirection

    - by Stuart McAlpine
I'm having trouble combining a url query parameter rewrite (fancy-url) with a .htaccess ssl redirection. My .htaccess file is currently: Options +FollowSymLinks Options -Indexes ServerSignature Off RewriteEngine on RewriteBase / # in https: process secure.html in https RewriteCond %{server_port} =443 RewriteCond $1 ^secure$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ index.php?page=$1 [QSA,L] # in https: force all other pages to http RewriteCond %{server_port} =443 RewriteCond $1 !^secure$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,N] # in http: force secure.html to https RewriteCond %{server_port} !=443 RewriteCond $1 ^secure$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,N] # in http: process other pages as http RewriteCond %{server_port} !=443 RewriteCond $1 !^secure$ [NC] RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ index.php?page=$1 [QSA,L] The fancy-url rewriting is working fine but the redirection to/from https isn't working at all. If I replace the 2 lines containing RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [QSA,N] with RewriteRule ^(.+).html$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/index.php?page=$1 [QSA,L] then the https redirection works fine but the fancy-url rewriting doesn't work. Is it possible to combine these two?

    - by OWScott
Regular Expressions can seem difficult to understand.  In today’s lesson I attempt to bring this down to earth and make it understandable and useful for the web administrator.  While this focuses on URL Rewrite, this lesson is useful for Visual Studio, ASP.NET development and JavaScript development also. I couldn’t keep this within 10-15 minutes so this is Part 1 of 2 on Regular Expressions. This is week 10 of a 52 week series on various web administration related tasks.  Past and future videos can be found here.

  • URL Rewrite http to https EXCEPT files in a specific subfolder

    - by BrettRobi
I am trying to force all traffic on my web site to use HTTPS, using the URL Rewrite 2.0 module added to IIS 7.5. I got that working and now have a need to exclude a couple of pages from using SSL. So I need a rule to rewrite all URL except those referencing this folder to HTTPS. I've been banging my head against the wall on this and am hoping someone can help. I tried creating a rule to match all URL except those in a nossl subfolder as in this example: <rule name="HTTP to HTTPS redirect" enabled="true" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(/nossl/.*)" negate="true" /> <conditions logicalGrouping="MatchAll" trackAllCaptures="false"> <add input="{HTTPS}" pattern="off" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" url="https://{HTTP_HOST}/{R:1}" redirectType="Found" /> </rule> But this doesn't work. Can anyone help?

  • 301 url rewrite loop

I need to do a 301 rewrite to force all urls to become lowercase i put in htaccess (RewriteMap lc int:tolower in httpd.conf) RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} [A-Z] RewriteRule . ${lc:{REQUEST_URI}} [R=301,L] Everything works just fine except to urls with subcategories which in this case are: /category-1256-Product-page-example.html the numer 1256 refers to a "subcategory" So when i try to access /category-1256-Product-page-example.html gives me a loop error message I think another redirect rules are making the loop but dunno how to fix it because are just this urls rewrite rules that don't work with the above rewrite. Rewriterule ^main-site-url/category-([0-9]*)-([-_a-zA-Z0-9]*)\.html$ /subcategories.php?idcategory_main=1&idcategory=$1&category=$2 [L] Rewriterule ^main-site-url/([0-9]*)-([-_a-zA-Z0-9]*)-([0-9]*)\.html$ /file.php?idcategory_main=1&idsubcategory=$1&product=$2&idproduct=$3 [L]
