  • Intellij Community can't use http proxy for Maven

    I have Intellij IDEA Community installed on a Linux box that needs to use an authenticated proxy to get to the Internet. I have a system-wide proxy on the box that works, and I have the proxy configured in ~/.m2/settings.xml. Maven correctly uses the proxy when I run try it from the command-line. I have the same proxy configured within Intellij and it gives me the plugins listing correctly. But when I try to sync with the Maven repository withing Intellij I keep getting this: [WARNING] Unable to get resource 'org.codehaus.mojo:hibernate3-maven-plugin:pom:2.2' from repository restlet (http://maven.restlet.org): Authorization failed: Not authorized by proxy. I went to Settings-Maven and put in the proxy info as properties and that didn't work. I can see by looking at those settings that Intellij is reading my ~./m2/settings.xml fine because it knows where my local repo is (it's in a non-standard place). Anyone know how I can get this working?

  • Asp.Net MVC - Plugins Directory, Community etc?

    Good evening everyone, I am currently starting to dive into asp.net mvc and I really like what I see so far.. BUT I am somewhat confused about 'drop-in' functionality (similiar to what rails and it's plugins and nowadays gems are), an active community to contact etc. For rails there's github with one massiv index of plugins/gems/code-examples regarding mostly rails (despite their goal being generic source-code hosting..), for blogs, mailing lists etc it's also pretty easy to find the places the other developers flock around, but... for asp.net mvc I am somewhat lost where to go/look. It all seems scattered across codeplex and private sites, google code hosting etc etc.. but is there one (or few places) where to turn to regarding asp.net mvc development, sample code etc?     I am new to this stackoverflow and programming. So HI!!!! What i hope to do is tell something that i think is important to Dart community. If somehow it was possible to code android and or iphone apps using dart that would be very awesome and same for Dart.... There is one path, that is making program in dart compiling it to javascript and then making app using Adobe air..... .But looks inefficient. so is there any other way which i am unaware of, via which i can build an android app at least.. using dart i know you can build an app, using javascript..and css+html...so i am looking for html+css+dart. It'd be cool if adobe air supports dart language directly.

  • How should I build a gaming community

    I've been wanting to build my own gaming community site (like http://fragbite.com) for a long time, I have started many times but just quitted after a couple days because it gets very messy I've been palying around with php and mysql off and on for 3 years but i've never gotten in to oop. i have tried but i usually end up with the "old php". I usually build my pages like so that i include a file on top of all pages with neccasary functions, html head etc. And I mix php and html together which I dont mind but if I eventually would get a designer he would not like it i think. I have tried both phpcake and codeigniter and all those popular mvc's but its just to much, like they do all the work. i want to do it myself. but i dont know where to start. What would you do if you were me? Is there maybe some non-oop mvc? (Sorry for my english)

    Since we don't funds to hire translators for getting multiple languages translated we want the community to do the translation for us. Its a social network. I can't find any good open souce framework to auto do this. Thinking something like: User selects a language, system displays random sentences and user will translate it. Then other users can vote on how good it is. If it's 100 votes + with 95% yes then it becomes official. Site is in PHP. Any ideas?

  • How do I create a *public* Facebook community page using the Open Graph protocol?

    I am trying to integrate pages from a site I am building into the Facebook Open Graph. My goal is to create a Facebook "Community Page" for each cause in my application. I have added Open Graph tags to a page so that I can Like it in Facebook, and a community page corresponding to my cause has been added to Facebook. However, I am the only one who can see the community page, since I am its administrator. All other users are redirected to the URL of the cause itself. My community page is at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kings-Hospital-Garden-Short-Term-Aid/123353527700762 When fans go to this page, I would like them to see the Facebook community page rather than being redirected. In other words, I want my community page to behave like the following community page referenced in all of the Facebook documentation on the subject: http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Rock/109550739071923 Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.     I'm attempting to install the DrEdit sample app for Salesforce onto GAE. The app runs, but saving or opening a file results in an HTTP 403 "Access Not Configured Error". I have also attempted to use the values for API AccessClient ID for web applications. The Google Drive SDK OAuth Client ID has also been set variously to the Drive SDK and web app Client IDs. but, After enabling both (Api, SDK) in Api access service i am still getting same error.

    I have a custom field called Current_Address__c which is of datatype textarea. I need to populate this field in the format below. ie a newline char after street and another newline after zip. street City state Zip Country The values of city state zip country etc are been taken from contact object. I dont want to use this as a formula field. So i need to populate it in my controller and display it on my VF page. I am trying to add a newline char by using the code below this.customobj.Current_Address__c = currentStreet + '\\n ' + currentCity + ' ' + currentState + ' ' + currentZIP + '\\n ' + currentCountry ; i had also used \n instead of \n. It still show the field in one line instead of 3 lines

  • Disabled Checkboxes

    Hi, Hoping someone can assist or point me in the right direction to another thread/url with regards to disabled checkboxes. I basically have a couple of checkboxes in my form, that are not database items but am retrieving the source value based on a database column. As I do not want the user to be able to change these checboxes, I have disabled these checboxes When I query a record, the form at start-up retrieves the value for the checkbox with no issues. The problem is, when I hit a validation error on my form when the page is submitted, my checkbox values that were originally retrieved as 'Y', i.e checked are now null. Can anyone pls assist with what is going on or a workaround inorder to maintain these values when a validation error occurs. Thanks.
