  • How to directly rotate CVImageBuffer image in IOS 4 without converting to UIImage?

    I am using OpenCV 2.2 on the iPhone to detect faces. I'm using the IOS 4's AVCaptureSession to get access to the camera stream, as seen in the code that follows. My challenge is that the video frames come in as CVBufferRef (pointers to CVImageBuffer) objects, and they come in oriented as a landscape, 480px wide by 300px high. This is fine if you are holding the phone sideways, but when the phone is held in the upright position I want to rotate these frames 90 degrees clockwise so that OpenCV can find the faces correctly. I could convert the CVBufferRef to a CGImage, then to a UIImage, and then rotate, as this person is doing: Rotate CGImage taken from video frame However that wastes a lot of CPU. I'm looking for a faster way to rotate the images coming in, ideally using the GPU to do this processing if possible. Any ideas?   • Losing sessions on GlassFish

    I have a web application that logs users in a @SessionScoped managed bean. It's all the basic stuff, pretty much like this: users logs in using regular http form and gets redirect to user area (wich is protected using a filter). But if any resource on that area is accessed, the request somehow uses a new session, wich has no managed bean, no user, and the filter does his job, redirecting him to login page.     I'm trying to draw a normal rounded rect UIButton, but without the border. Ideally I'd like to be able to change some setting on the UIButton to disable the border. My problem is that if I change the button type to "custom", I don't get the nice blue selection gradient (which I want to keep), and I have no idea how to draw it manually.

    How can I change the spellchecking language of a WPF textbox to french using XAML? I tried this but it doesn't work. <TextBox AcceptsReturn="true" SpellCheck.IsEnabled="true" FontSize="12" BorderBrush="Blue" Height="100" Language="fr-fr" /> French is supposed to be one of the 4 supported languages for spellchecking in WPF so I don't understand why it doesn't work. I also tried fr-CA but it still won't work.

    It could be a HTML question as well... I have a UIWebView with a page (from the hand made html string) loaded. For the url link on the page, if you tap on it, it has gray as background, which I think is the default behavior on iPhone. Is there a way to programmingly (thru javascript) change that to be other colors, say, blue? It doesn't seem to work for me anyhow.

    I'm looking for the best way to change the background color of an NSView. I'd also like to be able to set the appropriate alpha mask for the NSView. Something like: myView.backgroundColor = [NSColor colorWithCalibratedRed:0.227f green:0.251f blue:0.337 alpha:0.8]; I notice that NSWindow has this method, and I'm not a big fan of the NSColorWheel, or NSImage background options, but if they are the best, willing to use.
