• Adding custom validator without using Zend_Form's addElementPrefixPath

  The problem is that I don't use Zend_Form, so I can't use the built in capabilities. I usually look for three things when setting a validator: - its path (usually in library/path/validators/MyValidator.php) - its class name (tried Validators_MyValidator) and - in application.ini, the autoloaderNamespaces[] = "Validators" I've tried different settings/namings/layouts to no avail. When using a validator in my Zend_Validate_Input, an exception occurs, saying that it couldn't find my plugin/validator, the classes being searched only in Zend/Validate with the Zend_Validate prefix (I didn't try this prefix, though). Wasn't there a setting in app.ini that added a prefix and a path?

• ASP.NET Ajax Error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException

  My website has been giving me intermittent errors when trying to perform any Ajax activities. The message I get is Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerParserErrorException: The message received from the server could not be parsed. Common causes for this error are when the response is modified by calls to Response.Write(), response filters, HttpModules, or server trace is enabled. Details: Error parsing near ' So its obviously some sort of server timeout or the server's just returning back mangled garbage. This generally, unfortunately not always, happens when the site has been idle for a while. Anybody else been able to overcome this? Thanks

• Boost Filesystem Library Visual C++ Compile Error

  I'm having the following issue just trying to compile/run some of the example programs with the Boost Filesystem Library. I'm using MS-Visual C++ with Visual Studio .NET (2003). I've installed the Boost libraries, version 1.38 and 1.39 (just in case there was a version problem) using the BoostPro installers. If I just try to include /boost/filesystem/operations.hpp I receive the following error: \boost_1_38\boost\system\error_code.hpp(230) : error C2039: 'type' : is not a member of 'boost::enable_if<boost::system::is_error_condition_enum<Cond,boost::detail::enable_if_default_T>' Any help is greatly appreciated.   You all know how annoying is this: I do have a log system and the correct error is well explicit there, but I want to give a better message to the user. • Rewriting usort function because of fatal error (PHP bug)

  The two following usort functions throw fatal error Base lambda function for closure not found in our productive environment (PHP 5.4). This seems to be a known PHP bug that should be fixed by now (https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=52144), but it still occurs for us. Anyway, we unfortunately don't have time to figure out what's wrong with our PHP configurations etc. We would like to rewrite these two functions without the use of anonymous functions, so that the error doesn't occur anymore.   In my project I have it set up so that all the tables in the DB has the property "id" and then I have the entity objects inherit from the EntityBase class using a repository pattern.   Hi, I've added an attribute to a customer address entity. Attribute setup code is as follows- 'entity_type_id'=>$customer_address_type_id, 'attribute_code'=>'signature_required', 'backend_type'=>'int', 'frontend_input'=>'boolean', 'frontend_label' => 'Signature required', 'is_global' => '1', 'is_visible' => '1', 'is_required' => '0', 'is_user_defined' => '0', I have then - added attribute to model\entity\setup.php added a HTML field on the edit form I am now getting the attribute saved to the database when the checkbox is checked. However, it is not being unset when checkbox is unchecked (I'm guessing due to checkbox input not being 'post'-ed if unchecked. What is the best way to uncheck this? Should I add a default value of 0? Or unset/delete the attribute before save in the controller? Should I add get/set methods to the model?

  Has anyone ever thought to attempt to modify the default ASP.NET Server error page to provide a link BACK to the error source in Visual Studio? Consider the following standard error page in ASP.NET: Server Error in '/myproject' Application. Invalid object name 'usp_DoSomething'. Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name 'usp_DoSomething'. Source Error: Line 4323: cmd.CommandText = "usp_DoSomething"; Line 4324: Line 4325: using (var dr = cmd.ExecuteReader()) Line 4326: { Line 4327: if (dr != null) Source File: c:\development\myproject\myproject.components\providers\sql\sqldataprovider.cs Line: 4325 When an error like this is generated, the HTML has the source back to the file the error occurs in and the line number. Has anyone ever written or thought of writing some mechanism to turn the text into a link back to the error in Visual Studio? I've never seen anything that does it, but it just seems like it would be a helluva nice feature and I think about it in the back of my mind every time an error occurs when I have to manually go find it in the source. It would just be nice to be able to click a link to take me straight there. Anyone written any, or know of any solutions for this. I use Chrome or Firefox as my browsers of choice, but I'd even consider using IE again if someone found a plugin that did this. Thanks, Max

  I am simply trying to hide a datatip on a chart if the hit data item (yfield item) is == 101 for two differnt series an areaseries and a line series. The following funciton works in IE but throws an error in firefox. • How to catch this low level MySQL (?) error in PHP/Magento

  When I'm executing the following statement in Magento with a really large $sku, the execution terminates without any errors thrown what so ever. There are no errors in either Magento's, Apache's or PHP's error logs. Mage::getModel('catalog/product')-loadByAttribute('sku', $sku); Question: How do I catch the error? I've tried to set custom error handlers, and for testing purposes I've also managed to trigger error situations where each of the error handler functions are invoked. But when running the previously mentioned Magento code with a large $sku, none of the error handling functions are executed. error_reporting( -1 ); set_error_handler( array( 'Error', 'captureNormal' ) ); set_exception_handler( array( 'Error', 'captureException' ) ); register_shutdown_function( array( 'Error', 'captureShutdown' ) ); For completeness, this is the $sku I'm passing to loadByAttribute().   Hi everyone, When trying memcache:get, I'll get the following error message back: Message: Memcache::get() [memcache.get]: Server localhost (tcp 11211) failed with: Failed reading line from stream (0) I run a Windows 32bit test environment (XP) and here's how my code looks: function getMulti(array $keys) { $items = $this->memcache->get($keys); return $items; } My memcache servers are two local computers in the LAN that my dev. environment is connected to. • Occasional conversion error using SUM function

  My app uses sql2000 and a select statement it uses will sometimes fail. Once a week or so the select returns the error 'Error Converting data type varchar to numeric' SQL: sum(case when ISNULL(form_prsn_id, -1) = irpd_prsn_id then convert(dec(11,2), case when valu_value = '' then '0' else isnull (valu_value,'0') end)* case when fmdt_deduction_flag = 'Y' then -1 else 1 end else 0 end) as client_sum The valu_value field is a varchar and stores some numeric and some varchar. But including my join and where clause filter it will always select numeric or empty string. When it is failing I can remove the SUM, see the data and know that its numeric. So why would the SUM function sometimes (say 5% of time) fail on data that is numeric. I wonder if SQL somehow "looks ahead" to ensure it could convert to decimal on more than just the rows returned without the sum. Note I have discovered a fix where I include ( where isNumeric(valu_value) = 1 ) Thanks

• Disabling the Squid Error pages

  I've just started looking at using Squid for a project and can't seem to see an easy way of disabling the Squid error pages (e.g. "Name Error: The domain name does not exist"). We use a custom browser which handles that scenario in our way, so the Squid error pages are overriding our custom logic. Is it possible to set them too 'off'? I've been through the .conf and I've found where the error pages are stored, but no real options to disable them.

• Rsync: windows 7, synology: login error and permission denied error

  Good day to all of you all, I'm running into strange/stupid errors, and I hope anybody would be so kind to help me out. I have to admit, I am by no means a guru, so please bear with me :-) Situation: -Synology NAS (runs Linux), and Windows 7 desktop (1 normal/restricted user Lisa and 1 admin user). - Data from W7 desktop to be rsynced to synology: /volume1/home/Lisa/Backup - Rsync command: c:\cygwin\bin\rsync -avz /cygdrive/e/Lisa/ [email protected]:/volume1/homes/Lisa/Backup - I've set up ssh per these two threads: a. http://www.cesareriva.com/archives/102 b. http://www.cesareriva.com/archives/112 Now the horrors begin: - root is allowed to run the rsync succesfully, however, he doesn't login automatically (so I can not use rsync in W7 batchscripts, which is of course required). - Lisa is allowed to login automatically but he can not succesfully finish the rsync command because of permission errors: rsync change dir /volume1/homes/Lisa/Backup failed: permissions denied. This happens for each and every file and subdir rsync tries to create. However, the main directory (Backup) is created. When I try to copy files from windows explorer to the directory 'Backup' using the very same user Lisa everything goes smoothly. So, obviously, there is a permission problem somewhere; either my rsync-command isn't correct, or the folder permissions for homes/Lisa aren't correct (but, then again, Windows 7 copies files to that folder without any problems, so that does make me believe the homes/Lisa-permissions don't appear to be the problem). I also tried adding: --chmod=Dugo+x --chmod=ugo+r which I found somewhere on the web, to the rsync-command, but this didn't solve any problem and gave the exact errors. Would anybody please please help me on how to fix this? I am utterly frustrated about this, because I have been trying for 1 month to get everything to work and it simply doesn't work. I bought the big Synology to end the horrors of 20 external USB-disks for once and for all (we have many pictures and home vids of our deceased dogs and want to watch these, the horrors being 'what material is on what disk'). I'll gladly return the favour of somebody helping me out by buying you a nice beer (paypal), if you could end my misery. I am not extremely skilled on Linux (not at all :-( ) so if you could give an extra word when possible so I understand what to do, I'd be very grateful.
