• LiveView plugin template creates lots of errors?

  I'm trying to get the LiveView plugin template to work but upon import of the project into Eclipse, I already have 13 errors and 2 warnings. I have already downloaded SDK for Android 1.6 which I believe is what it requires.   Hi everybody, I'm implementing a Log system for PHP, and I'm a bit stuck. All the configuration is defined in an XML file, that declares every method to be logged. XML is well parsed and converted into a multidimensionnal array (classname = array of methods). So far, so good. • Help with method logic in Java, hw

  I have a Loan class that in its printPayment method, it prints the amortization table of a loan for a hw assignment. We are also to implement a print first payment method, and a print last payment method. Since my calculation is done in the printPayment method, I didn't know how I could get the value in the first or last iteration of the loop and print that amount out. One way I can think of is to write a new method that might return that value, but I wasn't sure if there was a better way.   Anyone have experience of using the JoinDomainOrWorkgroup Method of the Win32_ComputerSystem Class? I want to write a powershell script to join a machine to a domain. There may be an existing computer account for the machine, and if so I want to delete it and rejoin to the domain. I've already scripted the "search and destroy" part that will delete the computer account if it exists, but just noticed the FJoinOptions switches on Technet. Trouble is - they're a bit ambiguous. Does 4 (0x4) Deletes an account when a domain exists. mean it will delete the computer account if it already exists on the domain? Also, can you specify the computername you want to join the machine under with this method, or should you do a rename and then join the domain.   I need to run Firefox each time in a new profile directory with my extension enabled. What I do is the following: Create temporary directory for storing profile (/tmp/profile.123) Create extensions directory (/tmp/profile.123/extensions) Create extension proxy as described here (/tmp/profile.123/extensions/[email protected]) My command line looks like this: firefox -no-remote -profile /tmp/profile.123 -url http://www.google.com The problem is that my extension starts disabled, and I'm forced to enable it manually and restart the Firefox. Is it possible to make it start enabled in first place? Thanks! Workaround I've found: Create extensions.sqlite database file in the newly created profile folder. This file must contain my extension entry under the "addon" table.

• How to remove SelectionLinks extension from Chrome on Windows?

  It's not possible to remove it using the standard extension disablement/removal features in Chrome - the checkbox is disabled. I also found that the extension gets installed under C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\ - tried to delete it there, but it's still active. In fact, I tried deleting the whole C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ directory, but the next time Chrome starts, it recreates it and the extension gets recreated. Seems like there is something running in Windows that keeps detecting that Chrome extension is not there anymore and reinstates it. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

• Resetting default Input Method in Mac OS 10.6

  I'm a Dvorak guy. I recently installed a new machine at the inlaws who are not Dvorak people. I stupidly selected Dvorak as my Input Method of choice while installing OS X. Now, all of the users I created default to Dvorak and need to go through the manual process of removing Dvorak as their Input Method of choice and instead choosing U.S. I have no idea how far reaching the implications might be. Could be that any time another user is added they will default to Dvorak. Right now, I'd like to set the default back to U.S. How can I do that? Behaviors I'm looking for include that when the Input Menu is not shown at the Login Screen, U.S. is the keyboard layout. Any future users created should default to U.S. with no Input Menu in the menu bar. Any users created already should have their default layout be U.S. Thanks in advance!

• Change filtering method used by Firefox when zooming

  I often zoom in a step or two when reading long texts in Firefox, but when I do so the images become super blurry. It's not really a big deal but when reading text on images (mathematical equations mostly), it's a bit distracting. It seems as if they are scaled using only bilinear interpolation. If I scale an image the same amount in for example Paint.NET or Photoshop the result is much better. Is there any way to change the filtering method used by Firefox to bicubic or another better method? I am Using Firefox 3.5 on Windows BTW.

• Setting a WebControls TabIndex based on the ControlId of another control

  I have an ASP.NET Webforms site that is regularly having features added. The majority of time a new WebControl is added to the page and I need to increment the TabIndex to all subsequent controls on the page. I'd prefer a more robust solution than choosing an arbitrary gap between the initial assigned tab indexes. Setting the tab indexes using the designer tab order functionality is one option but I'd prefer to stay in the source view. Ideally, if I had three check boxes I'd like to be able to define the tabindex based off the previous controls tabindex. • [JS] XMLHttpRequest problem

  I am trying to do "POST" with XMLHttpRequest in a firefox extension, and after that I try to get the "Location" header and open it in a new tab. For some reason, the XMLHttpRequest doesn't contain a location header. My code function web(url,request) { var http = new XMLHttpRequest(); http.open('POST',url,true); http.setRequestHeader('Content-Type','application/x-www-form-urlencoded'); http.onreadystatechange=function() { if(http.readyState == 2) { alert(http.getResponseHeader("Location")); } } http.send(request); } Also, if I change the alert to getAllResponseHeaders() to see all headers, I just don't see the location header there. If I try to spy on the request of the original site with Firebug, it does show me the location header in the response. Please help me resolve my issues. Thanks :) P.S. I'm also unable to open a link in new tab using window.open(url, this.window.title);, but as that's not directly related to the rest of this I'll post a separate question to ask about it.

• How to tell if XUL menupopup opens down or up?

  I have an extension that can be placed on any toolbar (like the bookmarks, menu or status bars). In general, the context menu opens downward, but when placed on the status bar and Firefox is closed to the bottom of the screen, the context menu opens upward. I'd like to try reordering the context menu based on its up or down orientation, so that the same options are always closest to the mouse. For example, when opened downward it appears like this: -- (mouse) --------------- - MenuItem A - --------------- - MenuItem B - --------------- - MenuItem C - --------------- - ....... - --------------- When it opens upwards its like this: --------------- - MenuItem A - --------------- - MenuItem B - --------------- - MenuItem C - --------------- - ....... - --------------- -- (mouse) However, I'd like "MenuItem A" to appear closest to the mouse at all times, since its the most common item. I can render the items dynamically, so I really just need to find out the orientation.

  I want to write a Firefox extension that acts exactly like the built-in RSS feed scanner (as an exercise). It should do the following: On each new page / tab load, it should scan the content of the page for RSS feeds If there are RSS feeds in the page, it should put a button in the location bar that the user can click On clicking the button, a speech bubble should appear under the button (the way a speech bubble appears under the bookmarks star when you click on it), with information on the feeds and buttons to subscribe to them So my main questions are: What is the process to run specific content scripts for specific pages? What is the process to use the results of those scripts to update the speech bubble for each location bar button for each tab? Basically, I'm trying to figure out how to do in Firefox what Page Actions are in Google Chrome. Please help! :)

  I have seen many questions already and all are about background page to content script. Summary My extension has an options page, and a content script. The content script handles the storage functionality (chrome.storage manipulation). Whenever, a user changes a setting in the options page, I want to send a message to the content script to store the new data. • [PHP.ini] Can't load mcrypt.dll dynamic library.

  Hey guys, I'm trying to load this module: php_mcrypt.dll' Everything in the php.ini file is correct, see for yourself: extension_dir = "C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext" extension=php_mcrypt.dll The file exists in this path. And other modules are in there as well and are loaded successfully. It only has a problem with this particular module. I have a 64bit Windows XP, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.2.13... But i get this warning (error.log of Apache): PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext\php_mcrypt1.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0 PHP itself is working fine. But one of our applications needs this module and it throws me this ugly error. Why on earth does it show me two backslashes in the log file?

• How to open email by x-gm-msgid in Gmail with Javascript

  I'm writing an extension which surfaces links to gmail messages. As the UI loads right in Gmail, I should be able to click on one of these links and have Gmail load it (without refreshing). I have "x-gm-msgid" available and theoretically, I should just be able to navigate to "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]". I've tried using location.hash = "#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]" I've tried using history.pushState(null, null, "/mail/u/0/#inbox/[x-gm-msgid]") Neither of which works. Gmail just thwarts any attempt to change the URL (unless it is done via user interaction) Any thoughts on how to get around this restriction?
