  • Handling national language prefix for checkconstraints

    - by Chris Chilvers
I'm trying to create a check constraint such as CHECK Type IN (N'Create', N'Remove') for an enumeration's value. Sqlite complains about this syntax and only accepts CHECK Type IN ('Create', 'Remove'). The main database will be Sql Server 2005, but I use sqlite's in memory database for unit tests. Is there any way to get sqlite to recognise the national language (N) prefix? Alternatively, is there an easy way when using FluentNHibernate to adapt an nvarchar constant to match the database's dialect?

  • NHibernate IQueryable Collection as Property of Root

    - by Khalid Abuhakmeh
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this. I have a root object that has a property that is a collection. For example : I have a Shelf object that has Books. // now public class Shelf { public ICollection<Book> Books {get; set;} } // want public class Shelf { public IQueryable<Book> Books {get;set;} } What I want to accomplish is to return a collection that is IQueryable so that I can run paging and filtering off of the collection directly from the the parent. var shelf = shelfRepository.Get(1); var filtered = from book in shelf.Books where book.Name == "The Great Gatsby" select book; I want to have that query executed specifically by NHibernate and not a get all to load a whole collection and then parse it in memory (which is what currently happens when I use ICollection). The reasoning behind this is that my collection could be huge, tens of thousands of records, and a get all query could bash my database. I would like to do this implicitly so that when NHibernate sees and IQueryable on my class it knows what to do. I have looked at NHibernates Linq provider and currently I am making the decision to take large collections and split them into their own repository so that I can make explicit calls for filtering and paging. Linq To SQL offers something similar to what I'm talking about.

  • WCF Service and Properties

    - by Karnalta
Hi all, Here is my question, I have a solution with 4 projects in it for a WCF Service : DLL Library : Service Interface. DLL Library : Service Code. Form Application : Service hosting application. Form Application : Service client application. I'd like to have certain properties of the service accessible for the hosting application but not for the client one. If I declare a property in the client interface they will both have access to it. In fact, my service manage user identity login and keep a list of all user currently logged in. I'd like to be able to show this list in the Hosting application, like a debugging tool. But I don't want the service client to be able to access to this list. How can I do ? Thank in advance.

  • How to restrict access to a class's data based on state?

    - by Marcus Swope
In an ETL application I am working on, we have three basic processes: Validate and parse an XML file of customer information from a third party Match values received in the file to values in our system Load customer data in our system The issue here is that we may need to display the customer information from any or all of the above states to an internal user and there is data in our customer class that will never be populated before the values have been matched in our system (step 2). For this reason, I would like to have the values not even be available to be accessed when the customer is in this state, and I would like to have to avoid some repeated logic everywhere like: if (customer.IsMatched) DisplayTextOnWeb(customer.SomeMatchedValue); My first thought for this was to add a couple interfaces on top of Customer that would only expose the properties and behaviors of the current state, and then only deal with those interfaces. The problem with this approach is that there seems to be no good way to move from an ICustomerWithNoMatchedValues to an ICustomerWithMatchedValues without doing direct casts, etc... (or at least I can't find one). I can't be the first to have come across this, how do you normally approach this? As a last caveat, I would like for this solution to play nice with FluentNHibernate :) Thanks in advance...

  • Using Interfaces in action signature

    - by Dmitry Borovsky
Hello, I want to use interface in Action signature. So I've tried make own ModelBinder by deriving DefaultModelBinder: public class InterfaceBinder<T> : DefaultModelBinder where T: new() { protected override object CreateModel(ControllerContext controllerContext, ModelBindingContext bindingContext, Type modelType) { return base.CreateModel(controllerContext, bindingContext, typeof(T)); } } public interface IFoo { string Data { get; set; } } public class Foo: IFoo /*other interfaces*/ { /* a lot of */ public string Data { get; set; } } public class MegaController: Controller { public ActionResult Process( [ModelBinder(typeof(InterfaceBinder))]IFoo foo){/bla-bla-bla/} } But it doesn't work. Does anybody have idea how release this behaviour? And yes, I know that I can make my own implementation of IModelBinder, but I'm looking for easier way.

  • Django admin interface upload failing on request data read error

    - by Jake
Hi All, This is an updated version of an old question I asked. I've now done a lot more testing, plus the old question got hijacked. I'm getting a request data read error when trying to upload files to the Django admin interface. Files under about 150k work, but bigger files always fail and almost always at around 192k (that's 3 chunks) completed, sometimes at around 160k. The Exception I get is below. File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/django/http/multipartparser.py", line 405, in read return self._file.read(num_bytes) IOError: request data read error I've tried Chrome and Firefox on Windows and Firefox on Mac - Same results. I can upload to other sites so I don't think it's my connection. I'm running python 2.4, django 1.1, mod_wsgi, on CentOS (a media temple DV server) Locally it's fine (Django development server) Everything I've found on this issue says it's a mod_python issue and that changing to mod_wsgi will fix it, but I am running mod_wsgi. Can anyone help?

  • How to convert an existing callback interface to use boost signals & slots

    - by the_mandrill
I've currently got a class that can notify a number of other objects via callbacks: class Callback { virtual NodulesChanged() =0; virtual TurkiesTwisted() =0; }; class Notifier { std::vector<Callback*> m_Callbacks; void AddCallback(Callback* cb) {m_Callbacks.push(cb); } ... void ChangeNodules() { for (iterator it=m_Callbacks.begin(); it!=m_Callbacks.end(); it++) { (*it)->NodulesChanged(); } } }; I'm considering changing this to use boost's signals and slots as it would be beneficial to reduce the likelihood of dangling pointers when the callee gets deleted, among other things. However, as it stands boost's signals seems more oriented towards dealing with function objects. What would be the best way of adapting my code to still use the callback interface but use signals and slots to deal with the connection and notification aspects?

  • Date Filtered Collections without Functions

    - by madcapnmckay
Hi, I have an entity similar to the below: public class Entity { public List<DateItem> PastDates { get; set; } public List<DateItem> FutureDates { get; set; } } public class DateItem { public DateTime Date { get; set; } /* * Other Properties * */ } Where PastDates and FutureDates are both mapped to the same type/table. I have been trying to find a way to have the Past and Future properties mapped automagically by Nhibernate. The closest I came was where clause on the mapping as follows HasMany(x => x.PastDates) .AsBag().Cascade .AllDeleteOrphan() .KeyColumnNames.Add("EventId").Where("Date < currentdate()") .Inverse(); Where currentdate is a UDF. I do not want to have these database specific functions if I can avoid it, mostly because i can't then test my DAL with SQLite as it doesn't support functions or stored procedures. At the moment I am building the past and future collections using Criteria and adding to my DTO manually. Anyone know how this could be achieved without using any UDFs? Many thanks,

  • FluentNHibernate Many-To-One References where Foreign Key is not to Primary Key and column names are

    - by Todd Langdon
I've been sitting here for an hour trying to figure this out... I've got 2 tables (abbreviated): CREATE TABLE TRUST ( TRUSTID NUMBER NOT NULL, ACCTNBR VARCHAR(25) NOT NULL ) CONSTRAINT TRUST_PK PRIMARY KEY (TRUSTID) CREATE TABLE ACCOUNTHISTORY ( ID NUMBER NOT NULL, ACCOUNTNUMBER VARCHAR(25) NOT NULL, TRANSAMT NUMBER(38,2) NOT NULL POSTINGDATE DATE NOT NULL ) CONSTRAINT ACCOUNTHISTORY_PK PRIMARY KEY (ID) I have 2 classes that essentially mirror these: public class Trust { public virtual int Id {get; set;} public virtual string AccountNumber { get; set; } } public class AccountHistory { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual Trust Trust {get; set;} public virtual DateTime PostingDate { get; set; } public virtual decimal IncomeAmount { get; set; } } How do I do the many-to-one mapping in FluentNHibernate to get the AccountHistory to have a Trust? Specifically, since it is related on a different column than the Trust primary key of TRUSTID and the column it is referencing is also named differently (ACCTNBR vs. ACCOUNTNUMBER)???? Here's what I have so far - how do I do the References on the AccountHistoryMap to Trust??? public class TrustMap : ClassMap<Trust> { public TrustMap() { Table("TRUST"); Id(x => x.Id).Column("TRUSTID"); Map(x => x.AccountNumber).Column("ACCTNBR"); } } public class AccountHistoryMap : ClassMap<AccountHistory> { public AccountHistoryMap() { Table("TRUSTACCTGHISTORY"); Id (x=>x.Id).Column("ID"); References<Trust>(x => x.Trust).Column("ACCOUNTNUMBER").ForeignKey("ACCTNBR").Fetch.Join(); Map(x => x.PostingDate).Column("POSTINGDATE"); ); I've tried a few different variations of the above line but can't get anything to work - it pulls back AccountHistory data and a proxy for the Trust; however it says no Trust row with given identifier. This has to be something simple. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

  • dynamic dashboard interface

    - by user208081
I want to create an interface similar to the following in Silverlight. http://demos6.dundas.com/Silverlight/ I need to create a dashboard where different elements can be re-arranged using Silverlight. The dashboard elements can be different usercontrols that in turn may contain charts, guages, grids...... The user should be able to dynamically add and remove dashboard elements. The user should also be able to use drag and drop to reposition the dashboard elements. If there are some code samples to get me started, that will be great as we are just starting out on some Silverlight development. Thanks, Pratik

  • When doing a Schema Export with hbm2ddl, is there a way to specify that you DO NOT want Nullable For

    - by Jon Erickson
    The DDL that is being created is putting all of my many to many associations into 1 table, but I actually want each many to many association in its' own table (for other reasons) Right now hbm2ddl is creating this table (only Table1Key OR Table2Key OR Table3Key should be filled out for any given record, causing this table to have nullable foreign keys): +-----------+ | xRef | +-----------+ | Table1Key | | Table2Key | | Table3Key | | RiskKey | +-----------+ I want hbm2ddl to create the following 3 tables so that there are no nullable foreign keys. +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+ | xRef1 | | xRef2 | | xRef3 | +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+ | Table1Key | | Table2Key | | Table3Key | | RiskKey | | RiskKey | | RiskKey | +-----------+ +-----------+ +-----------+

  • FireBug - inspect element problem -- showing different interface?

    - by Susan
When I used to use Firebugs inspect elements feature it displayed the results like this below. Nice, nested tags on the left...css style on the right. Recently, however, when I try to inspect elements it always shows this: I've tried reverting to older versions of FireBug (can't remember if it started after an update?).. I've poked around the settings... Can't find why it's different. The interface it's showing now is completely useless for figuring out what's going on in the html / css.

  • Mapping of interconnection with nhibernate

    - by Mauro Destro
I have to describe interconnection between objects. public class Entity { public string Name {get;set;} public IList<Entity> Connections {get;set;} } How can i persist this? I add another layer of complexity: querying on a specific date a connection between two entities can't be already defined. So probably I need a support table that contain a structure like Id, Source, Destination, ValidFrom, ValidUntil Mauro

  • Using Interfaces in JNI

    - by lhw
I am trying to use (*env)->RegisterNatives to add methods to a defined class which I then add to a callback list. The callback sender of course expects my class to implement a certain interface which I do not. And is failing on execution. If I add the keyword "implements Listener" to my class in Java the javac expects to have the methods definition in Java or with native keyword which I try to avoid here, as I'd like to register the methods within the JNI_OnLoad and execute one of them afterwards. The question now is: Can I implement the interface in JNI or avoid the error message in Java?

  • NHibernate cascade and inverse

    - by Kordonme
I have three mappings as follows: public MainChapterMap() { // other properties HasMany(x => x.ClientSpecific).KeyColumn("MainChapterId"); } public MainChapterClientMap() { // other properties References(x => x.MainChapter).Column("MainChapterId"); HasMany(x => x.Details).KeyColumn("MainChapterClientId"); } public MainChapterClientDetailMap() { // other properties References(x => x.MainChapterClient).Column("MainChapterClientId"); } MainChapter has many client-specific chapters. The client-specific chapters (MainChapterClient) has many translations (MainChapterClientDetail) The dele rules should be as follow: When deleting a MainChapter Delete the MainChapterClient row Delete the MainChapterClientDetail row(s) When deleting a MainChapterClient Do NOT delete the MainChapter row Delete the MainChapterClientDetail row(s) When deleting a MainChapterClientDetail Do NOT delete the MainChapter row Do NOT delete the MainChapterClientDetail row(s) But I no matter what I end up getting this error: deleted object would be re-saved by cascade (remove deleted object from associations)[Entities.MainChapterClient#39] I'm not sure how to set up my cascades anymore. Any help are more than welcomed!

  • FluentNHibernate, getting 1 column from another table

    - by puffpio
We're using FluentNHibernate and we have run into a problem where our object model requires data from two tables like so: public class MyModel { public virtual int Id { get; set; } public virtual string Name { get; set; } public virtual int FooId { get; set; } public virtual string FooName { get; set; } } Where there is a MyModel table that has Id, Name, and FooId as a foreign key into the Foo table. The Foo tables contains Id and FooName. This problem is very similar to another post here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1896645/nhibernate-join-tables-and-get-single-column-from-other-table but I am trying to figure out how to do it with FluentNHibernate. I can make the Id, Name, and FooId very easily..but mapping FooName I am having trouble with. This is my class map: public class MyModelClassMap : ClassMap<MyModel> { public MyModelClassMap() { this.Id(a => a.Id).Column("AccountId").GeneratedBy.Identity(); this.Map(a => a.Name); this.Map(a => a.FooId); // my attempt to map FooName but it doesn't work this.Join("Foo", join => join.KeyColumn("FooId").Map(a => a.FooName)); } } with that mapping I get this error: The element 'class' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2' has invalid child element 'join' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2'. List of possible elements expected: 'joined-subclass, loader, sql-insert, sql-update, sql-delete, filter, resultset, query, sql-query' in namespace 'urn:nhibernate-mapping-2.2'. any ideas?

is anyone building the truck NHibernate and FluentNhibernate together? How's it working? are you using it for production systems? How is the Linq support? Is it nearly ready for release? Is there a nice and concise way to keep up to date with what is going on in the world of NHibernate? (ie, without having to read lots of blogs, and mailing lists )

  • Is it possible to unit test methods that rely on NHibernate Detached Criteria?

    - by Aim Kai
I have tried to use Moq to unit test a method on a repository that uses the DetachedCriteria class. But I come up against a problem whereby I cannot actually mock the internal Criteria object that is built inside. Is there any way to mock detached criteria? Test Method [Test] [Category("UnitTest")] public void FindByNameSuccessTest() { //Mock hibernate here var sessionMock = new Mock<ISession>(); var sessionManager = new Mock<ISessionManager>(); var queryMock = new Mock<IQuery>(); var criteria = new Mock<ICriteria>(); var sessionIMock = new Mock<NHibernate.Engine.ISessionImplementor>(); var expectedRestriction = new Restriction {Id = 1, Name="Test"}; //Set up expected returns sessionManager.Setup(m => m.OpenSession()).Returns(sessionMock.Object); sessionMock.Setup(x => x.GetSessionImplementation()).Returns(sessionIMock.Object); queryMock.Setup(x => x.UniqueResult<SopRestriction>()).Returns(expectedRestriction); criteria.Setup(x => x.UniqueResult()).Returns(expectedRestriction); //Build repository var rep = new TestRepository(sessionManager.Object); //Call repostitory here to get list var returnR = rep.FindByName("Test"); Assert.That(returnR.Id == expectedRestriction.Id); } Repository Class public class TestRepository { protected readonly ISessionManager SessionManager; public virtual ISession Session { get { return SessionManager.OpenSession(); } } public TestRepository(ISessionManager sessionManager) { } public SopRestriction FindByName(string name) { var criteria = DetachedCriteria.For<Restriction>().Add<Restriction>(x => x.Name == name) return criteria.GetExecutableCriteria(Session).UniqueResult<T>(); } } Note I am using "NHibernate.LambdaExtensions" and "Castle.Facilities.NHibernateIntegration" here as well. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Subsonic 3.0 - .Net - Error : Can not ceate an instance of an interface

    - by George
Hi, I am new to Subsonic, I have configured Subsonic3.0 T4 Template and created classes for my project. I have taken GridView and Object Datasource. Object datasource will connect to the one of the classes which is created from subsonic. I have set object datasource for g\fetch, Insert, Update and delete methods. Then i set the datasource of grid witht he object datasource. Grid view successfully showing me all the records. But at the time of Update, Insert or delete it throws an exception that "Can not ceate an instance of an interface". And also i am not able to dwbug in the code of the subsonic. May be because of partial classes. Can anyone please let me know what is happening at the backgrund? Or may be one can give me sample example which contains subsonic 3.0 and grid add, edit and delete so it will be really helpful for me.... Please... :) Thanks, George
