    I am debug my php forum. Before the error,I modified the DB table name from cdb_sessions to imc_forum_sessions successfully. I tried my best to debug with NetBeans but can't find the reason.   • Making a query result equal to zero when a condition is null

    Hello, I believe the query below should work. However, when I run it, the results are blank. I think this is happening since for now, the table "comment" is empty. So there is no instance where s.submissionid = c.submissionid. I would like to have the query below to work even if there if no s.submissionid that equals a c.submissionid. In this case, I would like countComments to equal zero. How can I do this?     I have a javascript application and when I run it on firefox I am getting the following erro on the console: "The stylesheet was not loaded because its MIME type, "text/html" is not "text/css". DumbStuck!! EDIT: Note that it tells that "The stylesheet ABCD..." But ABCD is actually an HTML file. Edit (ANSWER) : Actually I had wrongly put href="", and hence the html file was refenecing itself as the CSS. Mozilla had the similar bug once, and it is from there I got the answer. But everyone's else answers helped me too. Thanks.

    Hello, I have a pretty simple problem. Basically I have an array called $list that is a list of titles. If I do a print_r($list) I get these results: Array ( [0] => Another New Title [1] => Awesome Movies and stuff [2] => Jascha's Title ) Now, I'm running a foreach loop to retrieve their values and format them in an <ul> like so... function get_film_list(){ global $categories; $list = $categories->get_film_list(); if(count($list)==0){ echo 'No films are in this category'; }else{ echo '<ul>'; foreach($list as $title){ echo '<li>' . $title . '<li>'; } echo '</ul>'; } } The problem I'm having is my loop is returning two values per value (is it the key value?) The result of the preceding function looks like this: Another New Title   Awesome Movies and stuff   Jascha's Title   I even tried: foreach($list as $key => $title){ echo '<li>' . $title .     Linux's stddef.h defines offsetof() as: #define offsetof(TYPE, MEMBER) ((size_t) &((TYPE *)0)->MEMBER) whereas the Wikipedia article on offsetof() (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offsetof) defines it as: #define offsetof(st, m) \ ((size_t) ( (char *)&((st *)(0))->m - (char *)0 )) Why subtract (char *)0 in the Wikipedia version? Is there any case where that would actually make a difference?

    Hello All, I have just started trying to make a simple game with XNA 3.1 to help myself learn C# and XNA. I have run into a bit of an interesting problem, however. In all of the tutorials, one is supposed to pass GraphicsDevice when instantiating a new spriteBatch object like this: spriteBatch = new SpriteBatch(GraphicsDevice); One might even do this: GraphicsDevice objGraphics = new graphics.GraphicsDevice; spriteBatch = new SpriteBatch(objGraphics); where graphics is the GraphicsDeviceManager. However, no matter which version I try, I always get an ArgumentNullException when I try to pass the GraphicsDevice object to spriteBatch's constructor. Almost every tutorial I have found gives the first one and only one mentioned the second option. Has anyone else run into a similar error or know what could be causing this? I am working in Windows 7 x64 with Visual Studio 2008.

    What is the best way to detect if a jQuery-selector returns an empty object. If you do: alert($('#notAnElement')); you get [object Object], so the way I do it now is: alert($('#notAnElement').get(0)); which will write "undefined", and so you can do a check for that. But it seems very bad. What other way is there?

    I have a very basic AJAX function in JQuery: $.ajax({ url: "http://www.google.com", dataType: "html", success: function(data) { alert(data); } }); But the data is always an empty string, no matter what url I go to... Why is that? I am running this locally at http://localhost:3000, and am using JQuery 1.4.2. If I make a local response, however, like this: $.ajax({ url: "http://localhost:3000/test", dataType: "html", success: function(data) { alert(data); } }); ...it returns the html page at that address. What am I missing here?

I simply tried to type service address but it didn't fix anything.

    Ok, so I'm trying to select an amount of rows from a column that holds the value 3, but only if there are no rows containing 10 or 4, if there are rows containing 10 or 4 I only want to show those. What would be a good syntax to do that? So far I've been attempting a CASE WHEN statement, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (My database is in an MS SQL 2008 server)

    Hello, The code below works great. It combines data from two MySQL tables. I would like to modify it by pulling in some data from a third MySQL table called "comment." In the HTML table below, "title" is a field in the MySQL table "submission." Every "title" has a corresponding "submissionid" field. The field "submissionid" is also found in the "comment" MySQL table. In the HTML table below, I would like "countComments" to equal the number of times a field called "commentid" appears in the MySQL table "comment" for any given "submissionid," where the "submissionid" is the same in both the "submission" and "comment" tables, and where the "submissionid" corresponds to the "title" being used. Here's the catch: if there is no row in the MySQL table "comment" that corresponds with the "submissionid" being used for "table", I would like "countComments" to equal to zero. How can I do this?   • jQuery: How to find elements *without* a class set

    Hey jQuery clever peeps, Why does this fail... $( 'div.contactAperson input' ).not( 'input.hadFocus' ).focus(function() { $(this).attr('value', '' ); }); ...it's meant to sniff out input's that have not got the class .hadFocus and then when one of that subset receives focus it should zap the value to null. Right now, input values are always getting zapped -- the test .not( 'input.hadFocus' ) is failing to stop execution. Btw, preceding the above code is the following code, which is working fine: $( 'div.contactAperson input' ).focus(function() { $( this ).addClass( 'hadFocus' ); }); Thanks for any cleverness - cheers, -Alan

  • xUnit false positive when comparing null terminated strings

    I've come across odd behavior when comparing strings. First assert passes, but I don't think it should.. Second assert fails, as expected... [Fact] public void StringTest() { string testString_1 = "My name is Erl. I am a program\0"; string testString_2 = "My name is Erl. I am a program"; Assert.Equal<string>(testString_1, testString_2); Assert.True(testString_1.Equals(testString_2)); } Any ideas?
