  Is it possible to write C# code as below and send email using mnetwork in different country? MSExchangeWebServiceURL = mail.something.com/ews/exchange.asmx It's a web service URL. This works great when I run the same code from home network, my friends home network anywhere around, but when I run it from my client's location in Columbia it fails. I have a valid user name and password on that Exchange Server. Is there any configuration that I can set to achieve this? BTW this code below works when I run it within office network and any network within any home network. I have tried it at least with five friends network in Plano, Texas. I want this code to work running from any network in another country. My client in Columbia can connect to the web service using a browser using the same user name and password, but when I run the code above it is not able to connect to our web service.

  Thanks to Hadley's plyr package ddply function we can take a dataframe, break it down into subdataframes by factors, send each to a function, and then combine the function results for each subdataframe into a new dataframe. But what if the function returns an object of a class like glm or in my case, a c("glm", "lm"). Then, these can't be combined into a dataframe can they? I get this error instead Error in as.data.frame.default(x[[i]], optional = TRUE, stringsAsFactors = stringsAsFactors) : cannot coerce class 'c("glm", "lm")' into a data.frame Is there some more flexible data structure that will accommodate all the complex glm class results of my function calls, preserving the information regarding the dataframe subsets? Or should this be done in an entirely different way?

  I would like to quickly send email from the command line. I realize there are probably a number of different ways to do this. I'm looking for a simple way to do this from a linux terminal (likely a bash shell but anything should do) and an alternative way to do this on Windows. I want to be able to whip up an email right on the command line or have the flexibility to pipe the message into the command line program. How would you go about doing this?   I'm making a request from a java webapp to an Oracle' stored procedure which happens to have a Timestamp IN parameter. In the testing environment, it works sending: SimpleDateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MMM-yyyy hh:mm:ss a"); input.setTimestampField(dateFormat.format(new Date())); But in the production environment, it raises an exception ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting entire input string. I know the testing environment should be a replica of the production site, but it is not in my hands to set them properly. And I need to send the Timestamp field despite the way they setup the database. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

• Building a webserver, client doesn't acknowledge HTTP 200 OK frame.

  Hi there, I'm building my own webserver based on a tutorial. I have found a simple way to initiate a TCP connection and send one segment of http data (the webserver will run on a microcontroller, so it will be very small) Anyway, the following is the sequence I need to go through: receive SYN send SYN,ACK receive ACK (the connection is now established) receive ACK with HTTP GET command send ACK send FIN,ACK with HTTP data (e.g 200 OK) receive FIN,ACK <- I don't recieve this packet! send ACK Everything works fine until I send my acknowledgement and HTTP 200 OK message. The client won't send an acknowledgement to those two packages and thus no webpage is being displayed. I've added a pcap file of the sequence how I recorded it with wireshark. Pcap file: http://cl.ly/5f5 (now it's the right data) All sequence and acknowledgement numbers are correct, checksum are ok. Flags are also right. I have no idea what is going wrong.

  In more details: I want to build a web service to which users register and by browsing my site, users can send blog posts to their own blogs. Initially wordpress.org is discussed. However, I'll be happy to hear solutions for typepad or wordpress.com as well. The ideal solution would be a way for my server to simply "tell" their blog what to post (as a draft of course for them to confirm). A good solution would be for my users to install a plugin in their blog that will allow my server the above functionality.   I have a PHP code that will return a image. the link is given to 3rd party. so, i need to keep track where the php request coming from. Because the PHP only return the image, I cannot use the Javascript code for Google analytics.   I'm trying to send an array of objects wrapped in an array object wrapper to a WS via JSR172 WS calls. Using the generated stub, I'm able to download objects from the server, but I'm not able to upload objects to the server. This currently happens on all simulators in house. This is all the information I can get out of the server exception: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: java.rmi.ServerException: Server cannot handle the message because of some temporary condition. Here are the server specs: Windows 7 IIS 7 or 7.5 .NET 3.5 for the WS code written in C#. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, or knows where to look, I'd love to know. Thanks!

I looked at many websocket server examples on the web and non of them can transfer over 126 chars from client to server and from server to client. I understand that it is something with dataframes and opcodes but i never figured it out. I'm using C#. At client-side i'd like to send object just passing it in ajax function, without being forced to wrap it in an object literal like this: {'person' : person}. For the same reasons, at server-side i'd like to manage objects without the binding of $_GET['person'] or $_POST['person']. And since a certain channel use a fixed frequency, I think the only left way to represent different signal is with the carrier wave's amplitude. But what about the network wire? For all the network card with the same type, do they also use different frequencies to send signals just like TV cable? I vaguely remember that they use frequency adjustment to represent signals. So the frequency should not be a fixed one. So how did all the network cards that sharing the same medium differentiate their own signal from others?

  Hi, I'm taking shots in the dark here. I'd like to create a web service where eventually I send an SMS by using my own hardware. I'm not sure what I need in order to send an SMS myself. I don't want to use any of the existing SMS send services out there, I need to be able to send these SMS myself. It looks like there's one opensource project in particular that deals with this, "Kannel": http://www.kannel.org/ what I don't understand is, do I need to get a GSM modem to be able to send SMS?   I've got a multi-lingual Drupal 6 installation. The multi-language is provided by the i18n module. I'm displaying some date pickers using jquery ui's datepicker. I'd like to localize those datepickers too (so when the page being shown is English, they show 'mon tue wed ...' but when the page is in Spanish they show 'lun mar mi ...'). My problem is: I don't know how to send the currently selected locale to javascript. The closest thing I could find was the javascript Drupal.locale object. However that object doesn't seem to have a 'locale name'.
