Well, i've had this site live for around 3 years and i'm pretty sure that the folders \Controls and \Controls\InfoAdvice doesn't exist on my production server. On my localhost, it sure does .. and contains a large list of ascx controls. But they don't exist on my live server. So ... what is going on here? Can anyone please help? Oh :) Before someone suggests I create those two folders and even stick a random file in those folders .. and have some random text in those random files .. i've done that and it doesn't seem to work, still :( Please Help !

  Simple questions. function p() { function A() { this.random = "random"; } A.prototype.newfunc = function(){ alert("5");} function B() { } B.prototype = new A(); var bObj = new B(); } Q1: When I set B's prototype, I don't get how B's prototype property will update when/if A's prototype is updated. I mean, to me it just inherits/copies all those properties. It's not like it's: B.prototype = A.prototype where B and A are one in the same. Q2: After A is being returned and intialized to the prototype object of B, how does JS know not to include that prototype property? What I mean is, we never have this type of situation occuring as the JS interpreter knows just to chop off the property of A's prototype: B.prototype = new A(); //any A object has an associated prototype object B.prototype.prototype;//after initialization we no longer have the separate prototype property of A

• Find coordinate by angle

  I am developing in application in XNA which draws random paths. Unfortunately, I'm out of touch with graphing, so I'm a bit stuck. My application needs to do the following: Pick a random angle from my origin (0,0), which is simple. Draw a circle in relation to that origin, 16px away (or any distance I specify), at the angle found above. (Excuse my horrible photoshoping) The second circle at (16,16) would represent a 45 degree angle 16 pixels away from my origin. I would like to have a method in which I pass in my distance and angle that returns a point to graph at. i.e. private Point GetCoordinate(float angle, int distance) { // Do something. return new Point(x,y); } I know this is simple, but agian, I'm pretty out of touch with graphing. • JNI loses reference to native methods

  As an example for later use in Android I wrote a simple callback interface. While doing so i ran into the following error or bug or whatever. In C the two commented lines are supposed to be executed resulting in calling the C callback onChange. But instead i get an UnsatisfiedLinkError. Calling the native Method directly in Java works just fine. Calling it directly from C as presented here in the example also produces the UnsatisfiedLinkError. I'm open for any advice concerning this issue or work arounds and so on.   I am working on a project which has no determined algorithm to solve using C language. I am Using Monte Carlo technique for solving that problem. And the number of random guesses I want to limit to the execution time specified by the user. This means I want to make full use of the execution time limit defined by the user (as a command line argument) to make as many random iterations as possible. Can I check the execution time elapsed so far for a loop condition. Eg: for(trials=0;execution_time P.S. I am using code blocks 10.05 for coding and GNU compiler.

• Are there any worse sorting algorithms than Bogosort (a.k.a Monkey Sort)?

  My co-workers took me back in time to my University days with a discussion of sorting algorithms this morning. We reminisced about our favorites like StupidSort, and one of us was sure we had seen a sort algorithm that was O(n!). That got me started looking around for the "worst" sorting algorithms I could find. We postulated that a completely random sort would be pretty bad (i.e. randomize the elements - is it in order? no? randomize again), and I looked around and found out that it's apparently called BogoSort, or Monkey Sort, or sometimes just Random Sort. Monkey Sort appears to have a worst case performance of O(∞), a best case performance of O(n), and an average performance of O(n * n!). Are there any named algorithms that have worse average performance than O(n * n!)? Or are just sillier than Monkey Sort in general?

I want to be able to mix expressions of the same calculus but not be allowed to mix expressions of different ones. So far, so good. I can create my calculus instances, but problem is that I can not write functions in other classes that manipulate them. For example, I am trying to create a parser to read expressions from a file and return them; I also was trying to write an random expression generator to use in my tests with ScalaCheck. Turns out that every time a function generates an Expr object I can't use it outside the function. Even if I create the Calculus instance and pass it as an argument to the function that will in turn generate the Expr objects, the return of the function is not recognized as being of the same type of the objects created outside the function.   Hi, I have a php class that generates a map image depending on my db data. It is periodically updated thru a serInterval loop. I am trying to update it with no flickering but I just can't. I would prefer an inmediate swap insteado of a fade. The problem I'm having is that after calling updatemap() the image just dissapears. ¿Maybe it is a problem with the attribute src I am parsing? There is an how-to about these API but every example is made using PHP. But my app is done using Python so i need to convert the code. here is the how-to: The request string is sealed with OpenSSL. The steps for sealing are as follows: • Random 128-bit key is created. • Random key is used to RSA-RC4 symettrically encrypt the request string. • Random key is encrypted with the public key using OpenSSL RSA asymmetrical encryption. • The encrypted request and encrypted key are each base64 encoded and placed in the appropriate fields. • uniform generation of points on 3D box

  Hello: I would like to generate random points on a 3D box defined by its (minx, miny, minz) and (maxx, maxy, maxz) corners. I was thinking of generating a random point inside of the box and then somehow projecting it onto one of the box sides. However, I don't have explicit plane information for the box sides and this seems like it will not produce a uniform distribution of points since if some sides of the box are bigger than others, those sides should have more points generated on them. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

So far I manage to send them to the server correctly but the xml is static. I am looking for a way to insert dynamic/random values into the XML and then send it to the server.   Hello...I am new to PHP (never really used it before tonight) and I need to use a PHP script to read the contents of a file on my website (http://kylemills.net/Geocaching/BadgeGen/MacroFiles/BadgeGenBeta.gsk) and then take some specific varying data and output it. For example: If my file contains the text: random text Here is some text #There is some text here too $Version = "V2.2.23 Beta" random text #some more text $Text="some text" If the above was the contents of my file, I need the script to return "V2.2.23 Beta" (without quotes). The idea is that as I update the file, the version changes and I want this to be reflected across my site.   Hi, I am new to javascript. I wrote the following function rollDice() to produce 5 random numbers and display them. I use an anchor with click event to call the function. Problem is, in Chrome it won't display, works fine in IE, in firefox the 5 values display and then the original page w/anchor appears! I am suspicious that my script tag is too general but I am really lost.   I would like to know more about the relevant skills in the arsenal of a Data Scientist, and with new technologies coming in every day, how one picks and chooses the essentials. MongoDB, CouchDB etc. are becoming popular to work with web-scale data. Knowing a stats tool like R is enough for analysis, but to create applications one may need to add Java, Python, and such others to the list. Data now comes in the form of text, urls, multi-media to name a few, and there are different paradigms associated with their manipulation. What about cluster computing, parallel computing, the cloud, Amazon EC2, Hadoop ?   I have a rather simple question. I'm trying to get information out of an XML file, and now I need to get the that's inside another This is my XML code: <author> <name>Random_name1 (Random Name)</name> <uri>http://thisisanrandomurl.com</uri> </author> I can get the info with this code: Name = item.Element(ns + "author").Value, But this gives me: "Random_name1 (Random Name) http://thisisanrandomurl.com" I only want the info inside the tags. • Lot of time spent with following waits 'SQL*Net message from client' and 'wait for unread message on

  My application that wraps around Oracle Data pump's executables IMPDP and EXPDP takes random amounts of time for the same work. On further investigation, I see it waiting for again random amounts of time with the event 'wait for unread message on broadcast channel'. This makes the application take anytime b/w 10 minutes to over an hour for the same work. I fail to understand if this has something to do with the way my application uses these executables, or it has got something to do with Load on my server or something totally alien to me.

• iphone sdk conditional in switch function

  I'm trying to make a random image appear on the press of a button. So it generates a random number, and the switch algorithm swaps the chosen image with the one in the imgview. but I want a switch in the settings app to toggle which set of images to use. I know pretty much how to do it...it's just that it doesn't work.   Hi Hi I'm trying to build a layout where some shapes will popup every 2 seconds. If the user will click one of these shapes, they have to disappear. What is the correct way of doing this? I thought about a thread, but i missed out.   I have a script which creates a drag-and-drop uploader on the page from a div. My DIV will look something like <div class="well uploader" data-type="image" data-callback="product.addimage" data-multi="1"></div> Then I'll have a function something like var product = new function(){ /* Some random stuff */ this.addimage = function(image){ alert('W00T! I HAZ AN IMAGE!'); } /* More random stuff */ } When the upload is complete, I need to call the function in data-callback (In this example, product.addimage). I know with global functions you can just do window[callback]() but I'm not sure the best way to do this with functions under objects. My first thought was to do something like* var obj = window; var parts = callback.split('.'); for(part in parts){ obj = obj[parts[part]]; } obj(); but that seems a bit dirty, is there a better way without using eval because eval is evil? I haven't tested this so I have no idea if it will work

How can I write a pig expression to pick out all the numbers in the 'foo' expressions?   Hello everyone, I create a program that place random image in grid layout format. The size of the grid layout is 6 x 6 = 36. Only 10 were filled with images (each image was different) and the rest were empty. freeimagehosting.net/uploads/bfb7e85f63.jpg How can I save it to a file and read it again, so it will display the same images with same placement on the grid?
