    Hi All, I am trying to get a var from a PHP script running on my web server and from every forum post I have read, what I am doing should be working. I have the following: var lvContent = new LoadVars(); lvContent.load("http://{MY_DOMAIN}/Includes/getID.php"); trace("ID: " + lvContent.pageID); The problem is that ID in the trace is always undefined. I have tried the following in the php file: <?php echo "pageID=29"; ?> This is a small test to try and get it working but I cannot seem to. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for the help. But I have a modal/popup box which has some elements also having ".elem_class" and these dont get in the scope of findAll/each as they are loaded into the dom thru ajax. How do I apply the same to dynamically loaded elements as well? I am using Prototype Library. (I have used JQuery's Live function which keeps track of all future elements, but need to achieve something similar using Prototype) Thanks.

    So I have an SVG file created in Inkscape embedded in a webpage, and I'd like it to rotate slowly. I've tried using Javascript and inserting animation commands directly into the SVG, but nothing works. I don't want to load in an entire JS library for this one task.     My custom controls are not loading in VS.NET's designer because of a null reference exception. It's got everything to do with the way I am retrieving the baseUri of the application when it runs in the browser: _uriPrefix = Application.Current.Host.Source.AbsoluteUri.Substring(0, Application.Current.Host.Source.AbsoluteUri.IndexOf("/ClientBin")).Trim(); According to the exception details and the help file I'm directed to (here) I'm not correctly designing my app for a runtime that's not the browser (i.e. the new WPF editor in VS.NET or Expression Blend). So, the question is how do retrieve the baseUri (the http://localhost:#### part of my application) if I can't use Application.Host which apparently is null during design time? is there a safe way to do this so I can load my custom controls in a designer?

    Hi there I have an idea for a site where there would be no refreshing and all interactions take place via AJAX. The page would load with central space, where all interaction would take place. If a user clicked on a link, the page would request it via AJAX and replace the rectangle's content with the link content. The idea is effectively an AJAX implemented iframe. Are there any disadvantages with this approach? Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on the idea?   • Two CVS projects into one SVN project

    I have two CVS projects, which I maintain in Eclipse. I check out first project, and for second project I use "checkout in existing project" option, so I'm able to maintain two CVS projects into one Eclipse project. Doing this I'm able to Tag both projects with the same tag,etc. And know, time has come to start using SVN. I was able to create two separate CVS dump files, and when I used svnadmin to load then into SVN repository, I wasn't able to keep the structure I had in CVS! So, when i import both dump seperatly into SVN I get the following structure: ProjA - brancher tags trunk ProjB bracnches tags trunk In CVS I was able to have ProjB as a child folder of the ProjA trunk! Is there any way to implement this using SVN?

    Hi All: I have been looking for a SmartGWT example that would show me how to build a File Browser widget that takes the files from the local server's root directory. The user would be shown the files through the browser which they could then select to perform some processing operations. So far I have thought of using SmartGWT's Tree-Data Binding-Load from Local Data Widget and then grabbing a list of the directories using: new File("\").listFiles(); My Question is: Is there a better way to do this? Has someone already thought of this and has an example of their code that I can see? PS: I'm fairly new to GWT and Web Services but fairly competent with Java. If you believe there is a better way to do this (while still doing this through the web and not using Applets, please tell me). Thanks

If i replace the here(7) with alert, it works fine. Why doesnt it work with function though? Alan

How do i launch it so people can access it over the internet? I tried this but it doesnt work. bin/standalone.sh -b 0.0.0.0 It says: Google Chrome could not load the webpage because took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.

    I have a big file full of integers that I'm loading in. I've just started using C++, and I'm trying out the filestream stuff. From everything I've read, it appears I can only read in bytes, So I've had to set up a char array, and then cast it as a int pointer.   • Recursively listing, and storing, directory contents

    I know how to recursively list directory contents. I will be using Snow Leopard's enumeratorAtURL:includingPropertiesForKeys:options:errorHandler: method to do this. However I want to store my findings into a object hierarchy (of, say, objects of a custom FileOrDirectory class that has isLeaf, children, and count attributes). I need to pre-load the directory and file structure into such a object hierarchy, in order to do whatever I want with NSTreeController and whatnot. I guess the trickiest thing here is to get the children attribute correct in the object hierarchy. Any ideas?

    This is a general how does DataBind work questions... I have a simple page with a GridView that is bound (in the aspx code) to an ObjectDataSource. I can look in the Select() function called by the ObjectDataSource to see that it is called on the initial load and on every post back. I have some logic that happens on post backs that will affect the GridView's data, and I want to call GridView.DataBind() later on in the post back, after I've made some changes. Is there a way to prevent the automatic rebinding that happens on each post back? Does this mean I can't use an ObjectDataSource for this control?

    How is that setting a breakpoint in my code allows the following code to complete which would fail otherwise. Here is the problem. I'm writing an add-on for SAP B1 and encountered following problem. When I load a form I would like to enter some values into the form' matrix. But without a breakpoint (set on a method in which loading a form takes place) the part of code that is executed afterward will fail. That part of code is referencing a matrix that is not yet displayed which results in an exception. This is all clear. But why setting a breakpoint "solves" the problem. What is going on? I suspect that my breakpoint introduces some delay between loading and displaying my form and part of code that references element of that form but I could be wrong.

    Hi, Given IE6, an UL-LI list and a background image for the UL container. <style> ul {background-image: url(images/bgr.png);} </style> ... <ul> <li>...</li> ... </ul> When I load the page, the background is randomly loaded, some parts are visible, some are not. Moreover, it changes on runtime when I'm scrolling on the page. When I scroll out the UL list and scroll back, different parts of the background will be visible, depends on the speed of scrolling.     I'm working on some Java / Clojure interoperability and came across a reflection warning for the following code: (defn load-image [resource-name] (javax.imageio.ImageIO/read (.getResource (class javax.imageio.ImageIO) resource-name))) => Reflection warning, clojure/repl.clj:37 - reference to field read can't be resolved. I'm surprised at this because getResource always returns a URL and I would therefore expect the compiler to use the appropriate static method in javax.imageio.ImageIO/read. The code works fine BTW so it is clearly finding the right method at run time. So two questions: Why is this returning a reflection warning? What type hint do I need to fix this?

    I'm trying to build a simple app to get to grips with android as I'm new. I have programmed for years in PHP and MySQL so it's not completely unfamiliar to me, but one concept is at the moment confusing to me. If I wanted to create this app with 100's of questions how would I create the database like this. What I mean is at the moment my app runs and creates the database. Would I need to do this everytime the app runs as i'm guessing if it was a lot bigger it would mean a slow load evert time. Or is there a way to create the database once and then when the app runs there is no need to populate it. Max

  • WPF MenuItem Content "Name"...

    Hi, I have a LOT of MenuItem(s), and I want to be able to change their "Content" so that it displays in the program. When I load up the program, their "Content Name" is set in a Setter I created.. but the only problem is that I have almost a hundred MenuItem objects, and I need their display names in the program to be different (not the setter's default). I could just create over 100 different "Setter"'s and change one line in them.. but that is very time consuming. Is there a simpler approach? I want to be able to do this in the XAML where I am declaring them. Is there a way to do this? I've been searching and trying different attempts, but nothing so far.. perhaps someone knows? Thanks

  • AS3 Camera denied if loaded in a parent SWF

    Hi, I have a child SWF file that has the Camera functionality. It works fine if I run the child SWF by itself. However, when I load the child SWF into a parent SWF, the Camera functionality does not work. Doing some tracing it says that Camera access is denied. That happens without me even clicking on the deny button and in fact the usual security popup does not even show up. I have added import flash.system.Security; flash.system.Security.allowDomain("*"); to both parent and child SWF. What am I missing? It's Flash 10 player. Thank you, Tee

    This is what I would like to do. I would like to load content dynamically. Everything except the actual content will be rendered by javascript. I will place all the require information in a javascript variable or array at the bottom of the page. Then I will use javascript to place the content in the designated area. These are the types of things I would like javascript to render: Login menu Header and logo info Side bar info Footer info Dialog popups Ads All of the MEAT content will not be rendered by javascript. I will use the backend server to put the content in html. My logic is that more of the real content will be in HTML and all the other things will be rendered by javascript. Will this help or hurt SEO?
