• Display image from database with p:graphicImage

• JQgrid - Get Row Number instead of ID

  Hello, all, I am creating a JQGrid from a database table that does not contain a single field primary key. Therefore, the field i am supplying as id is not unique and the same one exists in several rows. Because of this, when passing a reference to the data with ondblClickRow to a function external to the grid i need to use the rownumber and not the id. To test, I'm using ondblClickRow: function(id){alert($("#grid1").getInd('rowid'));}, , and i should be getting and alert with the row number, except that it isn't working. I've been over the documentation and can't understand what i am doing wrong... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mario. • Changing or accessing a control in a Silverlight Data Form Edit Template

  I came across an interesting issue today when playing around with the Silverlight Data Form control. • jQuery jqGrid TreeGrid not functionining properly

  Hello. I am having trouble constructing a jqGrid TreeGrid using local data. An Instruments session revealed that calls to malloc stemming from the calls to drawInRect: are responsible for the bulk of the memory usage. I tried replacing the drawInRect: messages with equivalent function calls to the function CGContextDrawImage but it didn't help. The AutoReleasePool was added after I found the memory usage problem; it also didn't make a difference. I'm thinking this is probably because I'm not using graphics contexts appropriately. Would calling the above method in a loop be a bad idea because of the number of contexts I create? Or did I simply miss something?

• WPF: Adorner Hit Testing / MouseDown Event

  Hello, I have an Adorner which adornes a Border (please see screenshot below). The MouseDown Event for the Adorner is however only raised, when clicking on an element in the adorner. I need the MouseDown Event to be raised, when clicking on any place in the adorner above the adorned element. How can this be done? • How to remove FacesMessages from the FacesContext?

  In my screen, I have a drop down(select box), on selection of any of the options in that drop down , i display one or more text boxes beside the select box using javascript/css - display:none and display:block. All these input controls are in the same jsf form. Each of the input controls have their own validator. The problem is suppose the user selects from selection box and doesn't input value or inputs a wrong value for , i add a custom FacesMessage in the Validator and is shown appropriately and suppose the user selects the the second time and inputs the wrong value for the then another FacesMessage is added in the validator. But Now both the Messages are shown - means - the message for and - which is wrong My assumption is that , this happens because they exist in the same form and their instances are not destroyed yet in the FacesContext and in the UIView. I decided to delete the messages this way Iterator<FacesMessage> msgIterator = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getMessages(); while(msgIterator.hasNext()) { msgIterator.next(); msgIterator.remove(); } But this sometimes gives java.util.NoSuchElementException org.apache.myfaces.shared_impl.renderkit.html.HtmlMessagesRendererBase$MessagesIterator.next So 2 questions : 1) What is the problem in deleting the FacesMessages this way? I am using myfaces-api-1.2.3.jar and myfaces-impl-1.2.3.jar 2) Is there a better approach to handle my scenario? I only want to show relevent messages every time a jsf request is processed Thanks

  I would like to dynamically create a set of context menu options based upon some properties. Currently, I am creating a context menu as a DynamicResource with the visibility of the menu options bound to the properties, however, it seems that the DynamicResource is created only once, at runtime. Is this true? What I would like to do is have the menu generated each time, which will take into account the property changes on the data object. • Getting rid of scroll bar for position: absolute inside of position:relative inside of overflow:auto

  Hey guys, my first question here on stack overflow. Trying to get something pretty simple to work, I'm sure I'm missing something quite obvious. Still getting used to the "standard" css, too many years working with non-functional ones! Heh. Inside of that container, I have a popup menu, which I have simplified here. The popup menu appears (as it should) directly under "hello". My problem, however, is that instead of the popup menu "coming out" of the parent, as would be expected by the absolute position, it is actually causing a scrollbar to appear on the parent. I know that if I take otu the "position: relative" it works, but then it no longer appars where I want it (directly under the previous element). What am I missing here? • Binding "Text-Property" of a derived textbox to another textbox doesn´t work

  Hello, i have a class 'MyTextBox' that derives from the default TextBox in Silverlight. This class currently contains no additional code. I set up a binding in xaml to bind the Text-Property of MyTextbox to another Textbox to reflect the input made in the Textbox. The effect is that MyTextBox doesn´t update and not display the text of the other Textbox. Additional i made an equal binding for a normal Textbox. And this works. • ExtJS: remove a grid from a tabpanel when its underlying store is empty

  Hi, I have TabPanel which contains, among other things, a Grid connected to a Store. Several events may remove elements from the store. I would like the Grid to be removed from the TabPanel when the store is empty and, possibly, to have a single place in my code to check for this event. I thought about using store listeners, but unfortunately this causes exceptions in Ext code. My assumption is that this happens because rendering is performed on the grid after this is removed from the tabpanel. Any idea on how to accomplish such a task without messing up Ext is much appreciated. • How to do server-side validation using Jqgrid?

  Hi, I'm using jqgrid to display a list of sites and I want to do some server side validation when a site is added or edited. (Form editing rather than inline. Validation needs to be server side for various reasons I won't go into.) I thought the best way would be to check the data via an ajax request when the beforeSubmit event is triggered. However this only seems to work when I'm editing an existing row in the grid - the function isn't called when I add a new row. Have I got my beforeSubmit in the wrong place? • UIScrollView with pages enabled and device rotation/orientation changes (MADNESS)

  I'm having a hard time getting this right. I've got a UIScrollView, with paging enabled. It is managed by a view controller (MainViewController) and each page is managed by a PageViewController, its view added as a subview of the scrollView at the proper offset. Scrolling is left-right, for standard orientation iPhone app. Works well. Basically exactly like the sample provided by Apple and also like the Weather app provided with the iPhone. However, when I try to support other orientations, things don't work very well. I've supported every orientation in both MainViewController and PageViewController with this method: - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return YES; } However, when I rotate the device, my pages become quite skewed, and there are lots of drawing glitches, especially if only some of the pages have been loaded, then I rotate, then scroll more, etc... Very messy. I've told my views to support auto-resizing with theView.autoresizingMask = UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleWidth | UIViewAutoresizingFlexibleHeight; But to no avail. It seems to just stretch and distort my views. In my MainViewController, I added this line in an attempt to resize all my pages' views: - (void)didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOrientation { self.scrollView.contentSize = CGSizeMake(self.scrollView.frame.size.width * ([self.viewControllers count]), self.scrollView.frame.size.height); for (int i = 0; i < [self.viewControllers count]; i++) { PageViewController *controller = [self.viewControllers objectAtIndex:i]; if ((NSNull *)controller == [NSNull null]) continue; NSLog(@"Changing frame: %d", i); CGRect frame = self.scrollView.frame; frame.origin.x = frame.size.width * i; frame.origin.y = 0; controller.view.frame = frame; } } But it didn't help too much (because I lazily load the views, so not all of them are necessarily loaded when this executes).
