  I'm using libxml2 for SOAP-Actions in an iPhone App. The big problem is that i want send an SQL-Statement with NSString *query = @"SELECT test FROM database WHERE test = \"string\"" But libxml2 converts the qotes " into &amp;quot; Any ideas how to prevent this?

  Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.

There doesn't seem to be a field that explicitly says whether a column is UNUSED, or any view I can join to that lists the unused columns in a table. For example, if I query "http://www.stackoverflow.com" I will be redirected to "http://stackoverflow.com". How can I get that final URL?
