  • Which approach is better in term of saving the data? How to handle this?

    Hi there I have Telerik grid within a Telerik grid. Due to I have a different view between insert and edit mode, so as per suggested I have to use UserControl instead. Inside this control, it could have another Telerik grid plus bunch of ASP.NET textboxes. This thing works well. My dilemma is this: Scenario 1: Handling the save in the user control - OnClick event I have a button to save this. I need to get the value of the "selected grid" so I am using this snippet below and again works well. foreach (GridDataItem dataItem in radgrdTariffNetworkDistributorRateItems.SelectedItems) { string ID = dataItem.OwnerTableView.DataKeyValues[dataItem.ItemIndex]["SupplierRateItemID"].ToString(); } But then how do I get the id of the parent grid where this control sit? I use the following this event to save: protected void bttnNetworkTariffReviewItemInsert_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) the e of course not the right one though?!?!? GridDataItem parentItem = (GridDataItem)e.Item.OwnerTableView.ParentItem; string reviewID = parentItem.OwnerTableView.DataKeyValues[parentItem.ItemIndex]["ID"].ToString(); Scenario 2: Handling the save in the page instead (OnInsertCommand on the master grid) With this approach works well to get id of the grid etc BUT I am having a problem to get selected grid in the UserControl and plus couple controls value. How do I make this feasible? Logically, I should handle this at the user control level to save but again because the user control relying on the child grid I am having trouble to get this value. I am appreciated your suggestion.

    I use ack and I like it. However from time to time I need to search for something in my code base and I want to ignore all the files residing in test directory. Basically all the files which have test in their absolute path should be not included in the search. How do I achieve that? I am willing to have a custom bash script. Something like ack_no_test "application" - search for "application" in all files but ignore files residing in test directory

  • How can I unobtrusively disable submit buttons with Javascript and Prototype?

    So I found this recommendation, but I can't quite seem to figure out how. Thanks for any help at all! Update: Sorry, I guess I wasn't entirely clear. I'd like to disable all of the submit buttons when someone clicks a submit button. But I do need to send along the value of the submit button so the server knows which button I clicked, hence the insert call. (Note: insert does not create a child of the element you call it on.) And then after disabling the submit buttons I need to call the containing form of the submit buttons submit call, as IE will not submit after you disable the button. Does that make sense?

  • No result when Rally.data.WsapiDataStore lacks permissions

    I'm calling Ext.create('Rally.data.WsapiDataStore', params), and looking for results with the load event. I'm requesting a number of objects across programs that the user may or may not have read permission for. This works fine for queries where the user has permissions. But in the case where the user does not have permission and presumably gets zero results back, the load event does not seem to fire at all. I would expect it to fire with the unsuccessful flag or else to return with empty results. Since I don't know that the request has failed, my program waits and waits. How can I tell if a this request fails to return because of security? BTW, looking at the network stats, I believe all my requests get a "200 OK" status back.     I am trying to make a custom selection box for an image view I created and I am trying to use strokeRect: from NSBezierPath but it always seems to be transparent. Called the method set to set the color the blackColor and then also tried using olorWithDeviceRed:green:blue:alpha: but no matter what I have tried the rectangle created always seems to be transparent. Is there a better method to use to draw an empty rectangle?

  • Magento CSS not Loading in New Template

    I have posted on the template creator's site, as well as Magento support, but no one has responded. The CSS is not loading at all on the custom theme I have installed, which is supposedly compatible with the current version of Magento.   • Creating 3rd party library in Android. Need suggestions!!

    Hello all, I am planning to create a 3rd party library for android application developers. Also the main concern is I do not want the users to make many changes to their code base. The following are the main things I want to clarify before diving into the project. 1) I want to attach my own event handlers dynamically to the application. As per above limitations I mentioned, I cannot make users put the relevant code in their handlers as I need to support existing applications as well. I found out that we cannot attach more than one event handler per one listener. For example Button.setOnclickListener(somelistener) .. will set one listener. In traditional desktop applications we can add more than one handlers but here if I do one more Button.setOnclickListener(someOtherListener) this one overwrites the previous listener. Is there any way I can attach my own listener along with application's existing listeners dynamically? Also is it really not supported on android yet? 2) Is there any 3rd party alternative that exists already that monitors user's interactions in androidi? 3) If this is not supported now are there any future plans to support this feature? Please let me know about this as I did not get much feedback on Stackoverflow. Any suggestions and workarounds would really help me continue with this project. Regards, Lalith

    I'm sure I'm simply overlooking something in the Facebook API docs. Basically, after I've loaded the FB Graph, I need to know if the session is active... I cannot simply assume they're logged out and simply re-render if they're logged in once the 'auth.statusChange' event is triggered. I need to know right off the bat. Below is the code that I've used. Most importantly the FB.getLoginStatus/getAuthResponse/getAccessToken don't work like I'd expect; essentially where it indicates, when invoked, whether they're logged in or out.     I'm using a virtual keyboard. I have a checkbox that controls whether the virtual keyboard is displayed or not. The thing is that I don't understand how to disable it. I try to unbind it but it doesn't work...     Hi, I have created a user control ( custom data grid view control). I have used the code specified at MSDN [site][1] [1]: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316574 to set the border style . I am able to see the selected border style in designer. Like None, FixedSingle or Fixed3D. But when I set the border style to FixedSingle, the border does not appear at runtime. Do I need to draw it manually in the OnPaint method?

(terrific, but IE works fine with it) Why not in Opera?!!! And what can I do to make Opera 12.02 believe that all text in "Container" is selected?
