  • RotateFlipType wrong values when used in settings

    I'm trying to use System.Drawing.RotateFlipType in my settings file. This screenshot summarizes my problem: Each of RotateFlipType values is doubled, and some are missing. If I try to use some of missing values (like Rotate180FlipX, through app.config) - it is simply ignored. Using VS2008 with SP1, vb.net with framework 3.5 on windows 7.

  • Silverlight 4 webclient authentication - anyone have this working yet?

    So one of the best parts about the new Silverlight 4 beta is that they finally implemented the big missing feature of the networking stack - Network Credentials! In the below I have a working request setup, but for some reason I get a "security error" when the request comes back - is this because twitter.com rejected my api call or something that I'm missing in code? How To: Allow users to edit their account without providing a password ...to enable my users to change the account credential and update without providing their existing password. However, I also want to use the Confirmable modules reconfirmable functionality Even though I have config.reconfirmable = true set in my devise initializer file the controller doesn't seem to be sending the reconfirmable emails. Any ideas what's wrong?

    I am trying to build an extension that would notify a user when new version of Chrome is available. I tried to inspect network traffic when Chrome is checking for an update and it is sending a request to http://74.125.95.113/service/update2?w=3:{long_encoded_string} page that returns XML with information I need: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <gupdate xmlns="http://www.google.com/update2/response" protocol="2.0" server="prod"> <daystart elapsed_seconds="31272"/> <app appid="{8A69D345-D564-463C-AFF1-A69D9E530F96}" status="ok"> <updatecheck status="noupdate"/> <ping status="ok"/> </app> </gupdate> Besides sending {long_encoded_string} as URL parameter it is also sending some encoded cookie. Maybe someone familiar with Chrome build process can shed some light on those encoded strings and how to build them? Maybe there is another easier way (I have a feeling that string encoding is a dead end for me)?

I am trying to add custom control to the same assembly as Visual Web Part and registering control as: <%@ Register TagPrefix="cus" Namespace="SomeCustomControlNameSpace" % When I am trying to access this its throwing runtime error : Unknown server tag 'cus:ControlName'. Do I need to make any Web.Config entry for this? Any Ideas?

The only way at the time I could find to ensure that every request to a page was over https was to check it in the page load event. If the request was not over http I would response.redirect("https://mysite.com") Is there a better way -- ideally some setting in the web.config?

I tried out a couple of alternatives and would like to hear what you use, and if you have come up with something better? // Simply block-marking N lines by '//' is one way... // <tags> """ anything My editor makes this easy, but it's not really The Thing. It gets easily mixed with actual one-line comments.     Hi, I have two servers where I installed SQL Server 2008 Production: RAID 1 on SCSI disks Test: IDE disk When I try to execute a script with about 35.000 inserts, on the test server I need 30 sec and instead on the production server more than 2 min! Does anybody know why such difference? I mean, the DB is configured in the same way and the production server has also a RAID config, a better processor and memory... THANKS!

  • Survey statistic diagram ideas

    Hey everyone, I've got some homework tasks in topic surveys and diagrams. The first task is to normalize the input of a survey, because the structure of the data is changing from time-to-time. So there are three types of surveys: static fields, where text is stored dynamic ones, where the user can select one option and multiselect fields, where the user can select multiple options So I'm not really a statistics guy, so I have really no idea what I can do with that incomming data. So the data I have is stored in an orbital XML file from there I can easily get how man times a survey was filled, and how many times a field was filled, so I can (for eg on a pie chart show the relation of filled or not filled). The second idea is to show the relation between the content of a multi option element using a bar chart or so. In case of the multi option elements I've got the idea to show data in implication of one option. But the question is, what could be shown? The other problem are the static elements (text fields and so). What data could be represented from a single field? The data in the XML field is collected from 2001 to 2005 So maybe I can work with the dates of the surveys, but as I said, i don't really know how to process the data, to collect as much data as possible.

    I'm trying to make a simple flash application providing interface for taking tests as a high school assignment. One of the requirements is to use an XML file as data source.Now, having a List component bound to the XML file with questions consisting of data such as question body, question type (ie. single choice, multiple choice, open, image etc.) and possible answers (where applicable), I was wondering if I could add some additional data (and what is the best possible way to do so) to each question upon its transfer to the List component. I am trying to achieve two main goals with this: firstly, to mark the questions to which an answer has already been given, like with such code in ItemRenderer class: <s:Label color="{data.color}" text="{data.label}"/> where data.color would be set whenever the user gives an answer to a question. Secondly, while at it, I thought of such possibility as a great way to store answers given to particular questions. In this case, the Class of the answer object would have been Object, since there has to be many type of questions (where the answer could also be a Bitmap for example). This is a question of both how to do it and if it seems a good idea at all (and if no, if there is a better way?), because I am quite new to the whole Flash Builder and Flex thing and I am not really accustomed to all the possibilities and best practices.     Hi, Let's say that I have created a WCF proxy from a WCF service (which is configured with wsHttpBinding) using Add Service (in Visual Studio 2008). Later I want to use basicHttpBinding so I'll go and change the WCF service to use basicHttpBinding. But what about the WCF proxy? Can I just change this via Web.config or do I need to create the WCF proxy again from the WCF service via Add Service? Thanks

    When invoking [System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager]::GetSection("MySection") from within a PowerShell prompt, it throws an exception because the assembly containing the type represented by "MySection" in the app config is unable to be loaded. However, I have previously loaded the assembly containing that type, and I am even able to instantiate the type directly using 'new-object'. How is the ConfigurationManager resolving types such that the assemblies already loaded into the PowerShell app domain are not visible to it?

    My application data access layer is built using Spring and EclipseLink and I am currently trying to implement the following feature - Ability to switch the current/active persistence unit dynamically for a user. I tried various options and finally ended up doing the following. In the persistence.xml, declare multiple PUs. Create a class with as many EntityManagerFactory attributes as there are PUs defined. This will act as a factory and return the appropriate EntityManager based on my logic public class MyEntityManagerFactory { @PersistenceUnit(unitName="PU_1") private EntityManagerFactory emf1; @PersistenceUnit(unitName="PU_2") private EntityManagerFactory emf2; public EntityManager getEntityManager(int releaseId) { // Logic goes here to return the appropriate entityManeger } } My spring-beans xml looks like this.. <!-- First persistence unit --> <bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.LocalContainerEntityManagerFactoryBean" id="emFactory1"> <property name="persistenceUnitName" value="PU_1" /> </bean> <bean class="org.springframework.orm.jpa.JpaTransactionManager" id="transactionManager1"> <property name="entityManagerFactory" ref="emFactory1"/> </bean> <tx:annotation-driven transaction-manager="transactionManager1"/> The above section is repeated for the second PU (with names like emFactory2, transactionManager2 etc).
