  • jqGrid - Problems opening in jquery tabs (on Firefox and Google Chrome)

    I have developed a very simple MVC app to test out trirand's jqGrid for MVC. The app opens a jqgrid in a jquery tab group and everything is ok with IE. However when I use Firefox jqgrid only opens occasionaly in the first tab (but not under any other tab), and in Chrome my jqgrids dont appear to open under any tab of the group. I'm a bit of an MVC newbie (and have only been testing jqgrid out for a few days), but I know my users will want to use different browsers. Trirand have not come back with any answer so wondered if anyone else had had a similar issue. I have really just implemented jqgrid as per the controllers and model in the sample application on the Trirand site, and then combined it with a straightforward jquery tab group.   • CruiseControl.NET: using $(CCNetLabel ) inside ccnet.config file

    When calling external processes like MSBuild cruise control sets environment variables. One of values is CCNetLabel. it holds the value of the current projects label. I want to use the same values in ccnet config itself but when I try ccnet config has a problem.     I wrote some AES encryption code in C# and I am having trouble getting it to encrypt and decrypt properly. If I enter "test" as the passphrase and "This data must be kept secret from everyone!"   • Parsing a JSON Response from a .Net webservice

    Just to get this out in the open I am new to JAVA, KSOAP, and JSON. So I'll try to explain this the best I can. A while ago I created a webservice to be consumed by Blackberry Apps that we're built using the plug in for Visual Studio. Now the project I am working on, I want to consume the same webservice for Android devices. For the most part I have the base code for the Android app done and working. Here's my problem: I can successfully call the webservice and get a response. I know from creating the webservice that it sends a JSON response. My problem is trying to parse through the JSON response. I have found a few examples that I have been suiting to my needs however I am hung up on one thing. In the JSON each element is preceeded by "anyType" which is forcing my code to return no results (Ultimately I am binding the data to an ArrayList) Here's what I get if I "getProperty(0).toString()... anyType{Artist=anyType{TrackName=Champagne Supernova;}; Here is the code I am using to parse the JSON Object....   • Date/Time formatting in .NET (Devexpress Gantt charts to show time rather than date)

    I have some data about a day's events that I'm trying to visualise as a Gantt chart using Devexpress XtraCharts. Devexpress's example here shows the chart being populated by date. However, I'd like it to be populated by time to compare the events throughout one day. My X-axis is displaying correctly - done like so: ganttDiagram.AxisY.DateTimeMeasureUnit = DateTimeMeasurementUnit.Minute I have data with the correct time, however, the label on each series is showing the date (which are all the same, because it's all the same day!) Thus, instead of being a bar, all of them are just single points, with the label showing 31/03/2010 - 31/03/2010. Each series is created with the code below: s.Points.Add(New SeriesPoint("Machine", New DateTime() {ev.StartTime, ev.EndTime}))

  • .NET C#: WebBrowser control Navigate() does not load targeted URL

    Hey guys, I'm trying to programmatically load a web page via the WebBrowser control with the intent of testing the page & it's JavaScript functions. Basically, I want to compare the HTML & JavaScript run through this control against a known output to ascertain whether there is a problem. However, I'm having trouble simply creating and navigating the WebBrowser control. The code below is intended to load the HtmlDocument into the WebBrowser.Document property: WebBrowser wb = new WebBrowser(); wb.AllowNavigation = true; wb.Navigate("http://www.google.com/"); When examining the web browser's state via Intellisense after Navigate() runs, the WebBrowser.ReadyState is 'Uninitialized', WebBrowser.Document = null, and it overall appears completely unaffected by my call. On a contextual note, I'm running this control outside of a Windows form object: I do not need to load a window or actually look at the page. Requirements dictate the need to simply execute the page's JavaScript and examine the resultant HTML. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • Validating result of JsonConvert.DeserializeObject (think "try parse") using JSON.Net

    I have incoming messages that I need to try and parse in my own objects structure. SOme of these are well formed JSON obejcts and some are just nonsense. I use JsonConvert.DeserializeObject<MyObject>(incmoingString); to do this. This however sometimes gives me a exception when the incoming is total garbage. Other times I get a non-complete object structure when the incoming string is kind of OK - and finally it sometimes work. I've wrapped the conversion in a try/catch and than manually validate that I've gotten the properties I need to the deserialized result. Is there a better way to do this?

I guess that maybe the encryption / decryption process uses the application name / file or something and therefore means I can not open it. Does anyone have an idea as to: A) Be able explain why this isn't working? B) Offer a solution that would allow me to be able to open files that were created with the legacy application and be able to convert them please?     Is there a way to specify the paths to be searched for a given assembly that is imported with DllImport? [DllImport("MyDll.dll")] static extern void Func(); This will search for the dll in the app dir and in the PATH environment variable. But at times the dll will be placed elsewhere. Can this information be specified in app.config or manifest file to avoid dynamic loading and dynamic invocation?

    Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), .NET Service Bus, NServiceBus, RhinoServiceBus, MassTransit and so on. I'm trying to understand what each of these technologies have in common or not in common. I attended Juval Löwy's presentation on the .NET Service Bus earlier today and he stated that the .NET Service Bus could be used as a poor man's version of an ESB, so I would take that to mean that the .NET Service Bus is NOT an ESB, are any of the others a true ESB? If any of the others are a true ESB what would make them a true ESB as opposed to the .NET Service Bus?

  • help setting up wsHttpBinding WCF service on .net

    I'm trying to host a WCF service with wsHttpBinding. I created a certificate using makecert and put some lines in web.config. This is the error that I'm getting: System.ArgumentException: The certificate 'CN=WCfServer' must have a private key that is capable of key exchange. The process must have access rights for the private key. On googling up it seems to be some issue with access rights on the certificate file. I used cacls to give read permission to NETWORK SERVICE and also my username but it didn't change anything. I also went to security settings in the properties of the certificate file and gave full control to NETWORK SERVICE and my username. Again to no avail. Can you guide me as to what the problem is and what exactly I need to do? I'm really flaky with these certificate things.     Hi everyone, I have a matrix and I need to add the money earned this year and past years. However, I must remove the money spent in past years. I must have the separate amount per year and the total of these amounts. This is what gives my matrix: Year = Fields!Year.value =formatnumber((sum(Fields!Results.Value))-(sum(iif( Fields!Year.value & Parameters!choosedYear.Value, Fields!Moneyspent.value,0))), 2) & "$" However, the subtotal gives me an error. What should I do? P.S.: I already found that the subtotal gives me an error because it's not in the scope of the rowgroup1, but is there a way to get the scope in the subtotal? or can anybody find another way to do it?

    I want to be able to safely send DateTime's over WCF without having to worry about any implicit or automatic TimeZone conversions. The dates I want to send are "logical" dates. year month day, there should be no time component. I have various server processes and client process that run on a variety of machines with different TimeZone settings. What I would like to ensure is that when a user enters a date in a textfield (or uses a date picker component) on any client that exact what they see at data entry is what is sent over WCF, used by the server and seen by other clients when they request the data. I am a little confused by the various questions and answers on this site concerning DateTime.Kind (unspecified, UTC, local).

    I have the column DateTimeExpired, and I would like to create another column called "Expired" which will show "Yes" or "No" according to the expiration date - "Yes" if the date has already passed. I wrote this: DataColumn colExpirationDate = new DataColumn("DateTimeExpired", typeof(DateTime)); DataColumn colExpired = new DataColumn("Expired", typeof(string), "IIF(DateDiff(DateTimeExpired, date())>= 0,'No','Yes')"); But I get an exception "The expression contains undefined function call DateDiff()." (please note that I always want to get the row, no matter if it's expired or not) How do I set the column's text to the correct form? Thanks!
