  I use Websphere Application Server 8 with MQ Series as Messaging Queue. When I open close the connection in sessionbean in a "postConstruct" method and I use it in another method then its closed. And I have only select operations . And below is the method which is used most often to execute my select queries. One tricky thing which I am not understanding is in my findById method i am using this line of code getSession().beginTransaction(); without which it gives me an error saying that this cannot happpen without a transaction. But nowhere I am closing this transaction. • Populating fields in modal form using PHP, jQuery

  I have a form that adds links to a database, deletes them, and -- soon -- allows the user to edit details. I am using jQuery and Ajax heavily on this project and would like to keep all control in the same page. In the past, to handle editing something like details about another website (link entry), I would have sent the user to another PHP page with form fields populated with PHP from a MySQL database table. How do I accomplish this using a jQuery UI modal form and calling the details individually for that particular entry? • wpf window ghosting problem when resizing over two screens

  The title pretty much describes it. If I resize my WPF app so that it stretches over two monitors in a dual monitor setup, and resize it back, there will be a ghost window in the second monitor that does nothing, but is still moved when I move the original window in the first screen. Has anyone had issues like this? I think its a refresh bug on some OSs (I use WINXP 32 bit), but would like to confirm with the community.

I read on this link: http://developer.android.com/intl/fr/guide/appendix/faq/commontasks.html how to, but they do not show up in any of the /data/data/project directories. Does anyone know how I can confirm that the libraries were in fact added to the project for use at runtime? Thanks.

I'm a little dumbfounded on how this happened, the client mentioned a couple e-mails of this, so I don't think it is a random glitch. Also, the e-mail address was formatted like an e-mail address, so someone or some program was interpreting the labels next to each text box. I also noticed that the first and last names entered are the same word, even though they were in different text boxes, I'm thinking its some spam program, but wouldn't they try to advertise something and make money, rather than just spouting out random text? Also, the comments section makes no sense to me at all, the links goto nowhere and they're all perfectly formatted, a random person just screwing around wouldn't know those tags, and a programmer doing it wouldn't bother with it, but also neither would a program. I have no idea what caused this or how to fix it, I'm drawing a blank here. Anyone have any ideas?

• HTML client-side portable file generation - no external resources or server calls

  I have the following situation: I have set up a series of Cron jobs on an internal company server to run various PHP scripts designed to check data integrity. Each PHP script queries a company database, formats the returned query data into an HTML file containing one or more <tables>, and then mails the HTML file to several client emails as an attachment. From my experience, most of the PHP scripts generate HTML files with only a few tables, however there are a few PHP scripts the create HTML files with around 30 tables. HTML files have been chosen as the distribution format of these scans because HTML makes it easy to view many tables at once in a browser window. I would like to add the functionality for the clients to download a table in the HTML file as a CSV file. I anticipate clients using this feature when they suspect a data integrity issue based on the table data. It would be ideal for them to be able to take the table in question, export the data out to a CSV file, and then study it further. Because need for exporting the data to CSV format is at the discretion of the client, unpredictable as to what table will be under scrutiny, and intermittently used I do not want to create CSV files for every table. Normally creating a CSV file wouldn't be too difficult, using JavaScript/jQuery to preform DOM traversal and generate the CSV file data into a string utilizing a server call or flash library to facilitate the download process; but I have one limiting constraint: The HTML file needs to be "portable." I would like the clients to be able to take their HTML file and preform analysis of the data outside the company intranet. Also it is likely these HTML files will be archived, so making the export functionality "self contained" in the HTML files is a highly desirable feature for the two previous reasons. The "portable" constraint of CSV file generation from a HTML file means: I cannot make a server call. This means ALL the file generation must be done client-side. I want the single HTML file attached to the email to contain all the resources to generate the CSV file. This means I cannot use jQuery or flash libraries to generate the file. I understand, for obvious security reasons, that writing out files to disk using JavaScript isn't supported by any browser. I don't want to create a file without the user knowledge; I would like to generate the file using JavaScript in memory and then prompt the user the "download" the file from memory. I have looked into generating the CSV file as a URI however, according to my research and testing, this approach has a few problems: URIs for files are not supported by IE (See Here) URIs in FireFox saves the file with a random file name and as a .part file As much as it pains me, I can accept the fact the IE<=v9 won't create a URI for files. I would like to create a semi-cross-browser solution in which Chrome, Firefox, and Safari create a URI to download the CSV file after JavaScript DOM traversal compiles the data. • Rails: Passing new child object placeholder (build) to parent view

  I've got 2 classes of objects... Magician has_many Rabbits and Rabbit belongs_to Magician. When viewing a Magician (show.html) I'd like to list all the associated Rabbits and then have some blank fields with a submit button to add a new Rabbit. To do so I build a new rabbit (associated to the current magician) in the Magician's show method (below). Edit2: found way to make it work but not sure if it's the "Rails way"? see comments inline (below): If I build the rabbit in Magician's show method then when show is rendered an empty (and invalid) rabbit ends the list before the new rabbit form fields are then shown. If I build it in the view itself then everything works & renders correctly. • Why Java servlet can't get Paypal IPN messages everytime ?

  I have a Java servlet running on my notebook with Windows Vista, I set up a static IP, did port forwarding and registered for a free DDNS service, now my servlet is running, I gave the url to Paypal to send me IPN messages, I went on to it's sandbox site got to the test tools page, tried to send test messages by clicking the "Send IPN" button, most of the time it would fail, the error is : "IPN delivery failed. Unable to connect to the specified URL. Please verify the URL and try again." But maybe 1 in 10 times, it might be successful and my servlet would get the message, and I looked at the messages I got, they are in correct format. So I called Paypal asking why, he said I shouldn't run the servlet on my notebook, in stead I should run it on the web server, but I told him my ISP doesn't support Java on their server, and since I did all the above steps, shouldn't it be the same to run the servlet on my notebook ? He said his test showed he couldn't get to my servlet, but I asked why maybe 1 in 10 times it could get through ? If there is something wrong with running it on my notebook, then 100% times it should fail, am I correct on this point ? But anyway he said that's all he could do, and I should troubleshoot it myself.   It appears that WAS will call ServiceHostFactory.CreateHost() once per each service implementation. How does WAS manage the lifetime of the ServiceHost/ServiceHostFactory? We have a custom factory/host that is occasionally being re-initialized. I'm wondering if WAS is recycling itself or it has some other reason to re-create the ServiceHostFactory/ServiceHost. I'm guessing the ServiceHostFactory gets fired up for the AppDomain and is a singleton, can someone confirm?

• Problem with entityForName & ManagedObjectContext when extending tutorial material

  Afternoon all, I tried to add a second data entity to the persistent store in the (locations) coredata tutorial code, and then access this in a new view. I think that I've followed the tutorial, and checked that I'm doing a clean build etc, but can't see what to change to prevent it crashing. I'm afraid I'm at my wits end with this one, and can't seem to find the step that I've missed. I've pasted the header and code files below, please let me know if I need to share any more of the code. • Provide a URI as a parameter for an ODBC or OleDB provider connection string?

  Is there any way of specifying a URI (rather than a physical path) as the "Data Source" parameter in an OleDB connection string, or the "Dbq" parameter in an ODBC connection string, such that the default ADO.Net providers will work with it? I've tried file://, and it's a no go, so I just wanted to confirm whether or not this is possible. I'm guessing not, but any confirmation or documentation links would be appreciated.
