    friends. I'm currently developing a flex mobile project. I currently need to load local javascript using stagewebview. Like: var str:String = '<head>'+ '<script src="myLocalJs.js"/>'+ '</head><body>...</body>'; webView:StageWebView = new StageWebView(); webView.loadString(str); Is there any way to load local javascript using StageWebView? I'm not expecting an answer like 'There is a project called StageWebViewBridge' since it does't have all the features I need. THX!!

    (edited) I am reading a JSON file that includes some UTF-8 characters that are encoded like this: "\uf36b". I am trying to write a RegExp to convert this to an HTML entity that looks like "&#x1F36B;". This displays the character correctly in my html page. I haven't been able to correctly display the character that should be associated with "\uf36b", especially when in a longer sentence that also includes other text. How can I write a regexp that replaces strings like "\uf4d6" and "\uf36b" but leaves other text alone? Example: var str = "I need \uf36b #chocolate"; This should be converted to: I need &#x1F36B; #chocolate;

  • Survey statistic diagram ideas

    Hey everyone, I've got some homework tasks in topic surveys and diagrams. The first task is to normalize the input of a survey, because the structure of the data is changing from time-to-time. So there are three types of surveys: static fields, where text is stored dynamic ones, where the user can select one option and multiselect fields, where the user can select multiple options So I'm not really a statistics guy, so I have really no idea what I can do with that incomming data. So the data I have is stored in an orbital XML file from there I can easily get how man times a survey was filled, and how many times a field was filled, so I can (for eg on a pie chart show the relation of filled or not filled). The second idea is to show the relation between the content of a multi option element using a bar chart or so. In case of the multi option elements I've got the idea to show data in implication of one option. But the question is, what could be shown? The other problem are the static elements (text fields and so). What data could be represented from a single field? The data in the XML field is collected from 2001 to 2005 So maybe I can work with the dates of the surveys, but as I said, i don't really know how to process the data, to collect as much data as possible.

  • Working with Multiple Layers - KineticJS

    I'm using KineticJS 4.0.5 and I'm currently trying to draw the contents of several layers but only the last one added to stage is drawn... If I understood the documentation correctly this should be possible, otherwise why would we need a layer? I have three different layers: a background layer with just a Kinectic.Rect object; a elements layer with several types of shapes; and a top layer with elements I want to be always on top of everything. I populate those layers inside a draw function I have inside a object I created, this object also has a shape attribute which refers to the background and a contents attribute with the elements to add to the elements layer. My code for the draw function is the following: this.draw = function() { var stage = E.game.stage, layers = E.game.layers; stage.clear(); // Add Background this.shape.setSize(stage.getWidth(), stage.getHeight()); layers.background.add(this.shape); // Iterate over contents for(var i = 0; i < this.contents.length; i++) { layers.elements.add(this.contents[i].shape); } // Draw Everything stage.add(layers.background); stage.add(layers.elements); stage.add(layers.top); // This one is currently empty stage.draw(); } After running this function, only layers.top is drawn in the canvas, and if I comment the line where it is added only layers.elements is drawn. However the stage has 3 childrens (I checked it with inspect element on chrome) and in the documentation it says the draw function draws all layers... Am I doing something wrong here? Or it isn't possible? And if it's not possible why would I need a layer and a stage? Wouldn't one be enough? Thank you in advance. Edit: I was able to solve the problem, I was applying a white background color with css to the canvas element and since each layer creates a new canvas element above the others I could only see the contents for the top most layer (in this case just white). However, I still have a problem related with multiple layers that I didn't have before with just one layer. When I use the clear function on the stage it should clear the layers right? But instead the layers remain exactly the same, even if I try to call clear on each individual layer they won't change... I'm also using the stage draw function after clearing them but still no changes at all... The only solution I found until now was by removing the layer from the stage and adding it again :s Is there a better way to reset the layers contents? When I click the add button the first time, the number doesn't increase, however I console log the value which increases the result everytime. Any ideas?     I have a hidden asp Button in a Repeater. In the VB.NET code behind I use the Rerpeater_ItemCommand to get the click event within the Repeater. There's a check if user is already recording a project. If yes and he wants to start a new one, a confirm box should appear asking "Are you sure?"     Hi All, I'm running into a similar problem as this: link text I've done the fix as in the answer but now I end up with an error a couple lines later: $$([overlay = (new Element("div", {id: "mbOverlay"})).addEvent("click", close), center = new Element("div", {id: "mbCenter"})]).setStyle is not a function [Break on this error] ]).setStyle("display", "none") It's on this page: link text When you click on 'showreel' it should pop up into the media box, but instead it just goes to a new page.     Hello, I am trying to intercept calls to document.write for all pages. Setting up the interception inside the page by injecting a script like function overrideDocWrite() { alert("Override called"); document.write = function(w) { return function(s) { alert("special dom"); w.call(this, wrapString(s)); }; }(document.write); alert("Override finished"); } is easy and works, but i would like my extension to setup the interception for each document object from inside the extension. I couldn't find a way to do this. I tried to listen for the "load" event and set up the interception there but it also fails. How do I hook calls to doc.write from an extension?

    Alright so I have a php script which gets results from a DB, and to get those results I'm using a jQuery script to pull the results via getJSON. It works perfectly but now I want to do something if the php script returns no results (empty). I tried: $.getJSON('path/to/script'), {parameter:parameter}, function(data){ if (data) { alert('Result'); } else { alert('Empty); } }); But it's no good. I've tried different things like if (data.length) but still nothing. I've noticed that if there is no returned data the callback will never fire at all. So if that's the case, how do I handle a empty return?

(checker.php echo out how many points you've got in a span class vispoints1). Now isnt there a smarter method doing this, instead of sending requests like this all the time.. I mean sites like facebook and that, they dont do like this to check if you e.g got a new friend request? Hope you can help me find a better method examples would be good too.

  • How do I detect a click event on a google maps PolyLine overlay?

    It seems to me that I should be able to do the following to detect a click event on a line on a google map: var line = new GPolyline( ... ); map.addOverlay(line); GEvent.addListener(line, "click", function(latlng){ alert("clicked"); }); The api reference says this is available in version 2.88, which was released in 2007(!?), so I'm assuming that's what I'm using, but I don't know how to confirm that. I also tried setting the {clickable:true} option explicitly (it's supposed to be the default.) I've tested in FireFox 3 and Opera 9.6 so doubt it's browser specific. I'm also using jQuery on the page. I have plenty of code detecting clicks on markers that works fine, clicking on lines would be really nice, can anyone enlighten me?

  • Is there any reason why jQuery Sortable would work in IE/Chrome but not Firefox?

    I have a fairly straightforward list of horizontally floated items, like this: <div class="my-widget-container"> <div class="my-widget-column">...</div> ... </div> Both the container and each column have a fixed width, set using jQuery's .width(). The container is position: relative and the column is float: left and overflow: hidden. Not sure if any other styles/properties are relevant. When I apply a jQuery-UI sortable to this, the result is exactly what I'd expect in Chome 8 and IE 8; the columns can be dragged around to change their order. But in Firefox 3.6 I can click an item and drag to create a new sort-helper, yet the actual sort never happens; the real item's position in the DOM never changes. I dug around a little in Sortable, and added a debug print to _intersectsWithPointer. Whenever the drag helper moves, Sortable runs through its list of elements and uses this method to determine whether the drag helper has passed over one. What I saw was that item.left had the same value for all my columns, which is obviously not correct, and probably the source of the problem. It looks like all columns had a left position corresponding to that of the first column. I'm using jQuery 1.4.3 and jQuery UI Sortable 1.8. Those aren't the very latest versions, but they're pretty recent, and I don't see anything in the Sortable release notes that indicates any such problem has been fixed. Does anyone know what might be happening here, or have any ideas for further debugging?
