  • Autohotkey to map F5 to Shift+Home and then F5 - eventually executing a single line query in sql server?

    - by puretechy
    Reading the syntax from autohotkey, I am trying to achieve this. But the first step of selecting the entire line is not working:- F5:: send {Shift Home} return I have tried few others too, but its not working. This is not sending Shift+Home combination on pressing F5 key. Please tell me what's wrong with this? Also if possible, what to do next?, as if I will write send {F5} I believe, it will recursively fire this script again and again..

  • How do i query to list out all commits by a user to a subversion repository?

    - by VDev
    The title pretty much sums up my question, I would like to find all commits I have ever done to the subversion repository. Not just commits in current snapshot. More importantly, I would like to organize the file lists by the SVN comment used while committing. Thank you Edit: I am thinking maybe a python or shell script that would parse the output of svn log | grep username to extract revisions and then pipes the output to svn log -r [revision numbers go here] Maybe some scripting gurus can help me out..

  • Most efficient way to move a few SQL Server tables to SQLite?

    - by wom
    I have a fairly large SQL Server database; I'd like to pull 4 tables out and dump them directly into an sqlite.db for remote querying (via nightly batch). I was about to write a script to step through(most likely on a unix host kicked off via cron); but there should be a simpler method to export the tables directly (SQLite not an option in the included DTS Import/Export wizard) What would the most efficient method of dumping the SQL Server tables to SQLite via batch be?

  • PHP send batch email [closed]

    - by qalbiol
    Possible Duplicate: Sending mass email using PHP I have a PHP script that sends an individual email to all users in my DB, such as a monthly / weekly newsletter. The code I am using goes as follows: $subject = $_POST['subject']; $message = $_POST['message']; // Get all the mailing list subscribers. $query = $db->prepare("SELECT * FROM maildb"); $query->execute(); // Loop through all susbcribers, and send and individual email. foreach ($query as $row) { // Setting maximum time limit to infinite. set_time_limit(0); $newMessage = '<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> </head> <body>'; // Search for the [unsubscribe] tag and replace it with a URL for the user to unsubscribe $newMessage .= str_replace("[unsubscribe]", "<a href='".BASE_URL."unsubscribe/".$row['hash']."/".$row['email']."'>unsubscribe</a>", $message); $newMessage .= '</body></html>'; $to = $row['email']; // Establish content headers $headers = "From: [email protected]"."\n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: [email protected]"."\n"; $headers .= "X-Mailer: PHP v.". phpversion()."\n"; $headers .= "MIME-Version: 1.0"."\n"; $headers .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"."\n"; $headers .= "Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit;"; mail($to, $subject, $newMessage, $headers); // Send email to each individual user } This code works perfectly with a REALLY small database... I recently populated my test db with 200k+ users, and obviously this script fails, gets out of memory, and dies... I know this is a bad way to send so many emails, thats why I'd like to ask you for much more efficient ways to do this! Thank you very much!

  • One log4j.xml - many scripts

    - by psed
    One of my utility jar files is used by different nix scripts, located in different categories. Problem: unable to initialize log4j framework (unable to find log4j.xml). Solution, that allows to configure logger correctly while launching jar classes by different scripts - usage of env vars and force configuring using DOMConfigurtor.configure(pathToConfXml) method. is it possible to avoid path hardcoding and configure logger inside of a script? Appreciate all your help. Thanks.

  • strange(?) module import syntax

    - by morpheous
    I've come across the following code in a Python script from pprint import pprint why not simply import pprint? Unless the module pprint contains a function called pprint which is being aliased as pprint (surely, this must be the definition of madness?)

  • Ajax posting to PHP

    - by JQonfused
    Hi guys, I'm testing a jQuery ajax post method on a local Apache 2.2 server with PHP 5.3 (totally new at this). Here are the files, all in the same folder. html body (jQuery library included in head): <form id="postForm" method="post"> <label for="name">Input Name</label> <input type="text" name="name" id="name" /><br /> <label for="age">Input Age</label> <input type="text" name="age" id="age" /><br /> <input type="submit" value="Submit" id="submitBtn" /> </form> <div id="resultDisplay"></div> <script src="queryRequest.js"></script> queryRequest.js $(document).ready(function(){ $('#s').focus(); $('#postForm').submit(function(){ var name = $('#name').val(); var age = $('#age').val(); var URL = "post.php"; $.ajax({ type:'POST', url: URL, datatype:'json', data:{'name': name ,'age': age}, success: function(data){ $('#resultDisplay').append("Value returned.<br />name: "+data.name+" age: "+data.age); }, error: function() { $('resultDisplay').append("ERROR!") } }); }); }); post.php <?php $name = $_POST['name']; $age = $_POST['age']; $return = array('name' => $name, 'age' => $age); echo json_encode($return); ?> After inputting the two fields and pressing 'Submit', the success method is called, text appended, but the values returned from ajax post are undefined. And then after less than a second, the text fields are emptied, and the text appended to the div is gone. Doesn't seem like it's a page refresh, though, since there's no empty page flash. What's going on here? I'm sure it's a silly mistake but Firebug isn't telling me anything.

  • PHP array performance

    - by dfo
    Hi, this is my first question on Stackoverflow, please bear with me. I'm testing an algorithm for 2d bin packing and I've chosen PHP to mock it up as it's my bread-and-butter language nowadays. As you can see on http://themworks.com/pack_v0.2/oopack.php?ol=1 it works pretty well, but you need to wait around 10-20 seconds for 100 rectangles to pack. For some hard to handle sets it would hit the php's 30s runtime limit. I did some profiling and it shows that most of the time my script goes through different parts of a small 2d array with 0's and 1's in it. It either checks if certain cell equals to 0/1 or sets it to 0/1. It can do such operations million times and each times it takes few microseconds. I guess I could use an array of booleans in a statically typed language and things would be faster. Or even make an array of 1 bit values. I'm thinking of converting the whole thing to some compiled language. Is PHP just not good for it? If I do need to convert it to let's say C++, how good are the automatic converters? My script is just a lot of for loops with basic arrays and objects manipulations. Thank you! Edit. This function gets called more than any other. It reads few properties of a very simple object, and goes through a very small part of a smallish array to check if there's any element not equal to 0. function fits($bin, $file, $x, $y) { $flag = true; $xw = $x + $file->get_width();; $yh = $y + $file->get_height(); for ($i = $x; $i < $xw; $i++) { for ($j = $y; $j < $yh; $j++) { if ($bin[$i][$j] !== 0) { $flag = false; break; } } if (!$flag) break; } return $flag; }

  • Function to get the font and calculate the width of the string not working on first instance

    - by user3627265
    I'm trying to calculate the width of the string based on the font style and size. The user will provide the string, the font style and the font size, and then after giving all the data the user will hit the submit button and the function will trigger. Basically this script works but only when the submit button is hit twice or the font is selected twice,. I mean if you selec DNBlock as a font, it will not work for first time, but the second time you hit submit, it will then work. I'm not sure where is the problem here, but when I used the default font style like Arial, times new roman etc it works perfectly fine. Any Idea on this? I suspected that the font style is not being rendered by the script or something. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks //Repeat String String.prototype.repeat = function( num ) { return new Array( num + 1 ).join( this ); } //Calculate the width of string String.prototype.textWidth = function() { var fntStyle = document.getElementById("fntStyle").value; if(fntStyle == "1") { var fs = "DNBlock"; } else if(fntStyle == "2") { var fs = "DNBlockDotted"; } else if(fntStyle == "3") { var fs = "DNCursiveClassic"; } else if(fntStyle == "4") { var fs = "DNCursiveDotted"; } else if(fntStyle == "5") { var fs = "FoundationCursiveDots-Regul"; } var f = document.getElementById("fntSize").value.concat('px ', fs), o = $('<div>' + this + '</div>') .css({'position': 'absolute', 'float': 'left', 'white-space': 'nowrap', 'visibility': 'hidden', 'font': f}) .appendTo($('body')), w = o.width(); o.remove(); return w; } //Trigger the event $("#handwriting_gen").submit(function () { var rptNO = parseInt($('#rptNO').val()); $("[name='txtLine[]']").each(function(){ alert(this.value.repeat(rptNO).textWidth()); if(this.value.repeat(rptNO).textWidth() > 1000) { $(this).focus(); $(this).css({"background-color":"#f6d9d4"}).siblings('span.errorMsg').text('Text is too long.'); event.preventDefault(); } }); });

  • html/javascript automaticly getting link from submit button (maybe automating with python?)

    - by user317955
    I have a website where I have to click a submit button on a form. This gives me a link. I know the link is made up with the paramter that is passed through a hidden value. I was wondering if I could make a python script or something else that would go to the website and click some buttons returning the link that the submit button generates, if so how could I pass the extra parameter that influences the creation of the link? thanks in advance.

  • Display Commas in Large Numbers: JavaScript

    - by user3723918
    I'm working on a customized calculator, which is working pretty well except that I can't figure out how to get the generated numbers to display commas within the number. For example, it might spit out "450000" when I need it to say "450,000". This thread gives a number of suggestions on how to create a new function to deal with the problem, but I'm rather new to JavaScript and I don't really know how to make such a function interact with what I have now. I'd really appreciate any help as to how to get generated numbers with commas! :) HTML: <table id="inputValues"> <tr> <td>Percentage:</td> <td><input id="sempPer" type="text"></td> </tr> <tr> <td>Price:</td> <td><input id="unitPrice" type="text"></td> </tr> <tr> <td colspan="2"><input id="button" type="submit" value="Calculate"></td> </tr> </table> <table id="revenue" class="TFtable"> <tr> <td class="bold">Market Share</td> <td class="bold">Partner A</td> <td class="bold">Partner B</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="bold">1%</td> <td><span id="moss1"></span></td> <td><span id="semp1"></span></td> </tr> </table> </form> JavaScript: <script> function calc() { var z = Number(document.getElementById('sempPer').value); var x = Number(document.getElementById('unitPrice').value); var y = z / 100; var dm1 = .01 * 50000 * x * (1-y); var se1 = .01 * 50000 * x * y; document.getElementById("moss1").innerHTML= "$"+Number(dm1).toFixed(2); document.getElementById("semp1").innerHTML= "$"+Number(se1).toFixed(2); } </script>
