    Are there any tools available that allow you to 'look' at any given application and show you which WinForm controls are being used in that application? I happen to have an app which I like the GUI of, and I want to use a similar structure in my own app. Instead of developing these controls myself, it may be easier to buy them, if only I can spot which are being used... Any suggestions?

  • My.Settings not saving after install

    My application is not saving users settings after I install it. When I test my app in debug or release mode it works fine. However after compiling, linking and installing the My.Settings.Save() does not seem to be working. I can manually change a setting in the config file and the app runs accordingly. So I know it’s reading the config file on application startup. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

This is working fine and I am also able to copy the content to clipboard when the user clicks on the button. But I want to provide a URL in the SMS content which I am copying so that the user click on the URL to open it in the browser. Can anyone suggest me how to provide clickable URL in SMS content?

  • Weird seg fault problem

    Greetings, I'm having a weird seg fault problem. My application dumps a core file at runtime. After digging into it I found it died in this block: #include <lib1/c.h> ... x::c obj; obj.func1(); I defined class c in a library lib1: namespace x { struct c { c(); ~c(); void fun1(); vector<char *> _data; }; } x::c::c() { } x::c::~c() { for ( int i = 0; i < _data.size(); ++i ) delete _data[i]; } I could not figure it out for some time till I ran nm on the lib1.so file: there are more function definitions than I defined: x::c::c() x::c::c() x::c::~c() x::c::~c() x::c::func1() x::c::func2() After searching in code base I found someone else defined a class with same name in same namespace, but in another library lib2 as follows: namespace x { struct c { c(); ~c(); void func2(); vector<string> strs_; }; } x::c::c() { } x::c::~c() { } My application links to lib2, which has dependency on lib1. This interesting behavior brings several questions: Why would it even work? I would expect a "multiple definitions" error while linking against lib2 (which depends upon lib1) but never had such. The application seems to be doing what's defined in func1 except it dumps a core at runtime. After attaching debugger, I found my application calls the ctor of class c in lib2, then calls func1 (defined in lib1). When going out of scope it calls dtor of class c in lib2, where the seg fault occurs. Can anybody teach me how this could even occur? How can I prevent such problems from happening again? Is there any C++ syntax I can use? Forgot to mention I'm using g++ 4.1 on RHEL4, thank you very much!

    I use ack and I like it. However from time to time I need to search for something in my code base and I want to ignore all the files residing in test directory. Basically all the files which have test in their absolute path should be not included in the search. How do I achieve that? I am willing to have a custom bash script. Something like ack_no_test "application" - search for "application" in all files but ignore files residing in test directory

The JPanel is resizable and the images should scale as the JPanel increases/decreases in size Two questions: What image format is best for this type of desired scalable image? However, I would like this application to overlay certain graphic elements / drawing on top of the screen above all windows at certain times. So, for example, while my application is running, even though minimized to the tray, it will draw certain shapes on top of the screen regardless of what is there. Is this possible using C#?     In my application I am using a webview, and in order to increase/decrease text size, I am using WebSettings().setTextSize method, but, this method is limited to 5 predefined enum sizes only (SMALLEST, SMALLER, NORMAL, LARGER,LARGEST). I know I can use WebSettings().setTextZoom(int), but my application is available for API Level 8 and above, and this method was introduced in API Level 14... My question is: Is there any way to add other sizes to webSettings().setTextSize? maybe by extending textSize enum, or define other sizes?

  • Java: Prepare a statement without a connection

    I'm trying to generate some sql files in my java application. The application will not execute any sql statements, just generate a file with sql statements and save it. I'd like to use the java.sql.PreparedStatement to create my statements so that i don't have to validate every string etc. with my own methods. Is there a way to use the PreparedStatement without the calling java.sql.Connection.prepareStatement(String) function, because I don't have a java.sql.Connection?
