• How to send date from one view to another in xcode?

  I want to make the program where you have to enter some data, and then it will manipulate that data and show it on the other view when you click done. I search through multiple tutorials, but still cant understand how you do that. I have a textfield - lesson1 and want to pass it to the label in the second view. The views are called EditClasses and DayView. Thanks a lot. Also I need to change the data every 24 hours, what is the best way to do it?

  In the Google Maps application, when you open the menu and click on "Directions", it pops up a dialog that is unique to Google Maps. It keeps the MapView in the background, but displays the search dialog from the top (or bottom, if you're on an old version of Android). I was curious if anyone knew how they achieved this effect. I'm willing to create a custom Dialog, but it seems that Dialogs are designed to pop into the middle of the screen (any other types of dialogs are denied permission as system dialogs). What trick is Google Maps using?

• Multiple Foriegn Keys from One Table linking to single Primary Key in second Table

  Hi all, I have a database with three tables, a household table, an adults table and a users table. The Household table contains two foreign keys, iAdult1ID and iAdult2ID. The Users table has a iUserID primary key and the Adult table has a corresponding iUserID foreign key. One of the columns in the Users table is strUsername, an e-mail address. I am trying to write a query that will allow me to search for an e-mail address for either adult that has a relation to the household. So I have two questions, assuming that all the values are not null, how can I do this? And two, in reality, iAdult2ID can be null, is it still possible to write a query to do this?   hi, i have a form with 2 fields username: password: and a submit button. the user will enter his username and password for a remote website(not my website or my domain. eg. Gmail.com). i want once he click the submit button.a jQuery script check these login info on gmail.com and return back the result.they are wrong or working logins. and notify the user if it is wrong logins but if it is good working login info the form will submit. i don't know much jQuery but i am good with php. my search find that in order to do that i need to make cross-domain scripting by using php proxy between my jQuery script and the remote domain. i found also the simple php proxy. which looks great.but i dont know how to make the jQuery thing that connects all this together.

  Let's face it: You don't need to be a designer to see that default Javadoc looks ugly. There are some resources on the web which offer re-styled Javadoc. But the default behaviour represents the product and should be as reasonably good-looking. Another problem is the fact that the usability of Javadoc is not up-to-date compared to other similar resources. Especially huge projects are hard to navigate using Firefox's quick search. Practical question: Are there any standalone (desktop) applications which are able to browse existing Javadoc in a more usable way than a browser would? I'm thinking about something like Mono's documentation browser. Theoretical question: Does anyone know, if there some plans to evolve Javadoc, in a somehow-standardized way?   I need to add one menu item in IE context menu. It is similar with Google customized context menu "Search Google for xxx" when you right click on IE. I did a research and found that overriding IDocHostUIHandler::ShowContextMenu in a IE BHO can customized IE context menu. The sample project can be found in Popup blocker project published in codeproject. It works well and is easy to implement. However this approach has a problem. The problem is it will conflict with other add-ons' context menu customization per MSDN. In MSDN Internet Explorer Center forum, there are some discussions about this topic. However there is not a proper implementation posted. If anybody has experience on this, please share your idea. Thanks!

  I'm trying to figure out where java Applets that I run from the browser get downloaded to. I'm using Firefox 3.0 on Windows XP with Java 1.6 if that makes any difference. From the Java Control Panel on the toolbar, I can access "Temporary Internet Files - Settings" to find the Java cache. From there I can show the resources and see a file called "dws2010066.dat". Does this resource correspond to a file on disk? I did a search in the Java cache (and my whole computer) but came up empty handed.

  Hi all! I've search for some clues on this problem without much success. Hope someone can kick me in the right direction. I am prototyping a couple of apps where I need to design my own GUI. The GUI is made up by two separated UIViews where one of them contains a small thumb of an image. I want to be able to drag this thumb from the first view to the other. Simple as that! But I haven't figured out how this is done. Here is the exact flow I am looking for: touch the thumb animate a small enlargement of the thumb drag the thumb to the other UIView drop the thumb animate a shrink of the thumb Not particularly strange, but the thumb remains related to the first view all the time. I've tried to move the thumb via the first views superview and then back to the second view, but with no luck.

  Is there an IDE supporting C++ with REALLY smart searching of references? By 'reference' I mean usage of a class (or its member), variable, function in the whole Project or Workspace. There's lots of IDE providing it. Some of them seem just to search for the text with same name giving lots of stuff, others are smarter and check the context (like class boundaries, namespace) but aren't accurate enough. The best I've tried so far was Visual SlickEdit, but still there's more to wish. class C1 { int foo; }; class C2 { int foo; }; For example in this situation when searching for C1::foo references I don't want C2::foo to be shown too. • Is it better to use GL_FIXED or GL_FLOAT on Android.

  I would have assumed that GL_FIXED was faster, but the iPhone docs actually say to use GL_FLOAT because GL_FIXED has to be converted to GL_FLOAT. Is it the same on Android? I suppose it varies by phone, but what about recent popular ones (Nexus One, Droid/Milestone, etc.)? Bonus points: This appears to be completely undocumented (e.g. search google for GL_FIXED!) but where is the 'point' in GL_FIXED? I.e. how much is (GL_FIXED)1 worth?

• Question about finding third party website APIs.

  I have a client that works with several well established 3rd party sites to sell his product (in this case hotel rooms, but the question is more general). Every time he gets a reservation he has to go to each site and manually make changes. I've done a quick search to see if there are APIs or any developer resources for these sites but have come up with nothing. I've emailed his contacts for each site but have yet to receive a response. I don't have a lot of experience working with third party sites like this but in the past when I've looked for APIs I usually come up empty handed. Are these types of APIs rare or am I just looking in the wrong places? It seems like an obvious thing to have for a company that has an affiliate program. Any suggestions on where to look for APIs or am I at the mercy of my "contact"?

Below is my code but it is not quite working right so I will explain further. sSearchString is set to "_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations" and pDS.Name is a filename it is searching against. Using the code below it is set to true for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations and Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_LocationsMAXIMUM. There should be a match for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_Locations But Not for Nevada_One-Call_Pipeline_LocationsMAXIMUM. How can I change my code to do this properly? Second view is a map that shows the location using gps. Third view is a search engine that loads some information to show on the map and on a list (This has two button to load map or table). Fourth view is a table view that shows the results and then loads the detail on another view and load a web site on another view.   This looks like something simple but I could not find the answer so far - I have just learnt python and need to start learning pdb. In my module I have the usual if __name__ == __main_ trick to execute some code when the module is run as a program. So far I have been running it via python -m mymod arg1 arg2 syntax Now I want to do exactly the same thing from inside pdb. Normally in C, I would just do gdb mybinary followed by run arg1 arg2 But I cannot figure out how to achieve the same thing in pdb. I am sure there has to be a simple way to achieve this but it is taking me too long to search for it.. Thanks for your help!
