  • Collision detection with heightmap based terrain

    I am developing a 2D tank game. The terrain is generated by Midpoint Displacement Algorithm, so the terrain is represented by an array: index ---> height of terrain [0] ---> 5 [1] ---> 8 [2] ---> 4 [3] ---> 6 [4] ---> 8 [5] ---> 9 ... ... The rendered mountain looks like this: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 0 1 2 3 4 5 ... I want tanks to be able to move smoothly on the terrain (I mean tanks can rotate according to the height when they move), but the surface of the terrain is not flat, it is polygonal. Can anyone give me some help with collision detection in this situation? Thanks in advance.

    I know if you are using JSPs, you can call struts tags defined the normal way from a decorator, like this: <html> <body> <decorator:body /> </body> </html> but in the examples I always see using freemarker decorators, they will instead say: <html> <body> ${body} </body> </html> Is this the only way to include the pieces of the page from the decorator, or is it possible to use the same taglibs? To test it, I put sitemesh-decorator.tld into WEB-INF/lib and tried just using <@decorator.body /> but no joy there. I think I'm missing something here, but I'm not sure what it is.

    I'm trying to adjust a CSS page layout using min-width and max-width. To simplify the problem, I made this test page. Is there a better way than iterating over the list poping off an item and then parsing it to add my different column names and values? I have investigated using gdb and it seems the address of new_Message->Time is equalling to the address of Check->Time.     Having installed Team Foundation Server 2010 on Windows Server 2008, I need an easy URL for our developers to access their repositories. The default URL for the TFS repositories is http://localhost:8080/tfs Now I want the subdomain domain tfs.server.domain.com to point at http://localhost:8080/tfs. And when you write access tfs.server.domain.com/repos_name it should redirect to http://localhost:8080/tfs/repos_name. How can I do this in IIS 7? I already tried using the following rule, but it does not work.
