  • Multiple constructors in C

    Hello, I am making a string class in C as a homework and I was wondering how I can make multiple constructors with the same name given the parameter. The commented out area is what I tried to do with results from a few searches but that gives me errors. Pretty much I have some cases where I want to create my new string without any parameter then in other cases create a string with a pointer to character.     I'm using twilio as for a mobile verification mechanism, I have no prior experience in using twilio but looking at the sample PHP code I used this one in my code but apparently it's giving me an 400 Bad request HTTP error.   • Git sh.exe process forking issue on windows XP, slow?

    Git is essential to my workflow. I run MSYS Git on Windows XP on my quad core machine with 3GB of RAM, and normally it is responsive and zippy. Suddenly an issue has cropped up whereby it takes 30 seconds to run any command from the Git Bash command prompt, including ls or cd. Interestingly, from the bash prompt it looks likes ls runs fairly quickly, I can then see the output from ls, but it then takes ~30 seconds for the prompt to return. If I switch to the windows command prompt (by running cmd from the start menu) git related commands also take forever, even just to run. For example git status can take close to a minute before anything happens. Sometimes the processes simply don't finish. Note that I have "MSYS Git" installed as well as regular "MSYS" for things like MinGW and make. I believe the problem is related to sh.exe located in C:\Program Files\Git\bin. When I run ls from the bash prompt, or when I invoke git from the windows prompt, task manager shows up to four instances of sh.exe processes that come and go. Here I am waiting for ls to return and you can see the task manager has git.exe running and four instances of sh.exe: If I ctrl-c in the middle of an ls I sometimes get errors that include: sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable 0 [main] sh.exe" 1624 proc_subproc: Couldn't duplicate my handle<0x6FC> fo r pid 6052, Win32 error 5 sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable Or for git status: $ git status sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable sh.exe": fork: Resource temporarily unavailable Can I fix this so that git runs quickly again, and if so how? Things I have tried: Reboot Upgrade MSYS Git to most recent version & Reboot Upgrade MSYS to most recent version & Reboot Uninstall MSYS & uninstall and reinstall MSYS Git alone & Reboot I'd very much like to not wipe my box and reinstall Windows, but I will if I can't get this fixed. I can no longer code if it takes me 30 s to run git status or cd.

  • Wikipedia API: list=alllinks confusion

    I'm doing a research project for the summer and I've got to use get some data from Wikipedia, store it and then do some analysis on it. I'm using the Wikipedia API to gather the data and I've got that down pretty well. What my questions is in regards to the links-alllinks option in the API doc here After reading the description, both there and in the API itself (it's down and bit and I can't link directly to the section), I think I understand what it's supposed to return. However when I ran a query it gave me back something I didn't expect. Here's the query I ran: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&titles=google&rvprop=ids|timestamp|user|comment|content&rvlimit=1&list=alllinks&alunique&allimit=40&format=xml Which in essence says: Get the last revision of the Google page, include the id, timestamp, user, comment and content of each revision, and return it in XML format. The allinks (I thought) should give me back a list of wikipedia pages which point to the google page (In this case the first 40 unique ones).   • Difficulties getting GraphViz working as a library in C++

    Am working on a program that will allow a graph of nodes to be displayed and then updated visually as the nodes themselves are updated. I am fairly new to Visual Studio 2010 and am following the GraphViz guide located at http://www.graphviz.org/pdf/libguide.pdf in order to get GraphViz working as a library. I managed to do it with a regular ListView, but now that I switched to ObjectListView(a lot more features, and ease), I can't seem to do the same.     I'm trying to integrate Spring 3.0.5 with Jersey 1.4. I seem to have everything working, but whenever I try and return a Viewable that points to a JSP, I get a 404 error. However, now that I have to use the SpringServlet to get spring integration, I'm at a loss for how to access resources, since I can't use the filter above.     I need my user to input some data like DF-DJSL so I put this in the code: theTextField.autocapitalizationType = UITextAutocapitalizationTypeAllCharacters; But unfortunately what happens is the first to letter type in CAPS but then letter immediately after typing the hyphen will be in lower case and then the rest return to CAPS therefore producing output like this (unless the user manually taps the shift button after typing a hyphen): DF-dJSL How can I fix this?   • Bounced email on Google App Engine

    I'm developing application for google app engine (python), witch needs not only to send emails, but also know which ones bounce back. I created special account for my domain [email protected], added it as an app admin and sending messages from it. The problem is (and it was described here http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=1800) - GAE sets the Return-Path to some internal email address, not allowing to receive bounced email messages. Anyone aware of any possible workaround for this? Thanks.

Second constructor for book doesn't take MultLingual as argument, but following implementation is somehow wrong : public Book(String t, String a, String p, int y){ Book someBook = new Book(t, a, p, y, MultiLingual m); } I could just send int m in place of MultiLingual m but then I will have no control if language is set to PL or ENG.
