  Here is the error saying bcrypt was not loaded. The rails app is not using the Devise for authentication and gem bcrypt is not in Gemfile. Sometime, the webserver throws out the error saying spawn server can not start. gem list shows that both bcrypt-ruby 3.0.1 and 3.0.0 were installed.   A query (see below) that extracts climate data from weather stations within a given radius of a city using the dates for which those weather stations actually have data. The query uses the table's only index, rather effectively: CREATE UNIQUE INDEX measurement_001_stc_idx ON climate.measurement_001 USING btree (station_id, taken, category_id); Reducing the server's configuration value for random_page_cost from 2.0 to 1.1 had a massive performance improvement for the given range (nearly an order of magnitude) because it suggested to PostgreSQL that it should use the index. While the results now return in 5 seconds (down from ~85 seconds), problematic lines remain. Bumping the query's end date by a single year causes a full table scan: sc.taken_start >= '1900-01-01'::date AND sc.taken_end <= '1997-12-31'::date AND How do I persuade PostgreSQL to use the indexes regardless of years between the two dates? root's .profile and .shrc, tmux works perfectly. Occasionally (twice out of the 50 or so times I've tested it), the splitting will work fine once in a session. (This happened for example when I ran ktrace on tmux, which I can also post) To explain the 'suddenly' part of the title: when I started my newly updated mysql56-server, tmux immediately exited and lost the session. Recently I changed architectures, from FreeBSD 10.0 i386 to amd64, and I am still working through shared library incompatibilities. I suspect that this could be involved, but I can't imagine how an incompatibility of this sort could result in such a specific, isolated failure.

  I got a last time (and urgent) requeriment of an "event" that needs to be scheduled the same day of every month. Say of you set the start date on the 1st May you should get the next events on the 1st of Jun, 1 Jul etc. The problem comes with a start date on the 31st (the next ones could be 30 or 28 depending on the month) Considering that there are months with different numbers of days (28,30,31) depending on the month itself and the year... what would ba an easy way to setup this?   I have an ASP.net MVC application that is using NHibernate under the covers for data access. I'm using the Windsor container to handle injecting ISession references into each controller. This works great, but now I'm looking to expand my application with a pluggable architecture so that I can have a core product and specific add-ons. I found a great article on doing this with MEF. My question is how to make the Windsor container and MEF container, life/work together so that I can achieve this. There was an article (http://codebetter.com/blogs/glenn.block/archive/2009/10/31/should-i-use-mef-with-an-ioc-container.aspx) by Glenn Block that talked about this exact issue. Then end then said that the next article would show you how to do this, but there's no part 2. Has anyone created an application like this using asp.net mvc, mef, nhibernate, castle windsor?

  Hi, When I set leading to 0 with Verdana (and others to) for a Flex TextArea I get strange results: fontsize - space between baselines 8 - 10 (125%) 10 - 12 (120%) 12 - 14 (117%) 14 - 17 (121%) 16 - 18 (113%) 18 - 22 (122%) 20 - 25 (125%) 25 - 31 (124%) shouldn't all of these be the same (should only be 100%)? Or least follow a pattern, because I can't se any. :( When i set leading to 0, the space between my baselines should be the same as the font size/height. This is not the case here. How do I know how to get the space between the baseline to be equal to the height of the font?

Solved The simple solution to my complicated problem was that I had placed the config.ru in wrong place moved it to /etc/puppet/rack , it was in /etc/puppet/rack/public Well!!! :-/

• Jquery Datepicker not selecting the default date

I even tried giving the date in string and +7 etc. But today's date itself is shown as the default date. What could be causing this?

• Windows periodically disconnects, reconnects to the network

  My setup: I have a PC with a Gigabyte GA-MA78S2H motherboard (Realtek Gigabit wired Ethernet on-board). I have the latest drivers (at least the latest driver for the NIC. I'm connecting via an Edimax BR-6216Mg (again, wired connection). For some reason I experience short periodic disconnects and reconnects. Specifically, Skype disconnects, tries to connect, succeeds after a short while; incoming SFTP sessions get dropped; using a browser, I sometime get stuck in the DNS lookup or connection to the website and a page won't load. A couple of seconds later, a reload works. All this happens with Windows XP SP3. With Windows 7, it also happens. Tried reducing the MTU (used a utility called Dr. TCP); there was no effect. I updated my board BIOS revision (which caused all the HW to be "reinstalled" or re-identified - successfully). I installed another NIC, and tried switching to it - same effect with the on-board NIC. A while back I tried another router (although it was an Edimax model) - same problem. Connected the computer directly, with no router. Same problem. ping -t to the router (192.168.0.254) gives pongs, nothing is lost, and time is < 1 ms almost always (sometimes it says 1 or 2 ms). This is the case also during the disconnects.

  I'm writing a mobile phone based game in c. I'm interested in a data structure that supports fast (amortized O(1) if possible) insertion, look-up, and removal. The data structure will store integers from the domain [0, n] where n is known ahead of time (it's a constant) and n is relatively small (on the order of 100000). So far I've considered an array of integers where the "ith" bit is set iff the "ith" integer is contained in the set (so a[0] is integers 0 through 31, a[1] is integers 32 through 63 etc). Is there an easier way to do this in c?

We have one core permanently around 40% ~ 60% wait time and trying to spot what is happening I realized that we have more interruptions than cpu context switches.
