    In my previous post on Fusion Applications Integration, the Fusion Applications OER white paper explains Oracle Enterprise Repository (OER) usage in the applications context, assuming a dedicated OER for your Fusion Applications instance (whether cloud/SaaS or on-premise). Having a dedicated OER instance is recommended as it can provide customized service metadata and can be used for overall SOA governance in addition to simple service discovery.     Seit dem 14.09.2012 steht ein neues Release 2 von Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c zur Verfügung. Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte von Enterprise Manager hat Oracle ein neues Release für alle Komponenten und Plattformen am gleichen Tag freigegeben. Das neue Release steht also sowohl bzgl. OMS als auch der Agenten für alle unterstützten Plattformen zur Verfügung. Damit kann das neue Release sofort für alle Umgebungen eingesetzt werden. Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c Release 2 trägt die Versionsnummer 12.1.0.2 und ist vor allem ein Stabilitätsrelease. Es enthält hauptsächlich Bugfixes und Performance-Verbesserungen.   • Windows7 shows a drive as full in summary but files, including backup folder, shown on drive are ver

    I have a drive partitioned so it is seen by Windows as 2 drives: C:\ and D:\ Windows7 shows D:\ as full up in the graphical summary in 'My Computer' summary of all the drives, e.g. the bar graph indicates full and nearly all of the drive's capacity, 108Gb, is full. So I go into the D:\ drive to look at the files, I see several folders. I select them all and the right click menu Properties to count their size, expecting the value to be about the same as what Windows reports in the summary, i.e. nearly 108Gb. But the properties shows the files are very small, Kbs and Mbs, nowhere near 108Gbs. One of the folders is a backup, but its size is very small. I've checked the folder options to show all system files and hidden files too - and counted these in the properties. Something invisible is holding the space. What is happening here? I'm afraid to delete anything if it removes valuable backups. Have I got huge backups here? Why can't I see them? How do I see them?

  • How to repair GRUB from backup?

    I have Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.04 in dualboot. But the problem was that Windows didn't boot when GRUB is set as primary bootloader in BIOS. When the Windows EFI partition was checked as primary, Windows booted well. Then I decided to fix it and installed Boot-Repair. First of all, I made the backup. Then updated the GRUB. The update was successful. But then Windows and Ubuntu didn't boot at all. I've repaired GRUB using live-USB. Now I can boot Ubuntu, but Windows doesn't boot. How can I restore boot partitions from Boot-Repair backup (.zip file)?

  • OS X borked; need to backup outside of Time Machine

    Quick Background: iMac G5 (the white one; 4 years old?) Running Leopard 10.5.something. Time Machine started failing on me; and every time I touch the Finder, things beachball like crazy. Booting from install disk then using Disk Utility to "Repair Disk" also fails. I'm left with the conclusion that I have a corrupt file somewhere important, that's (i) keeping TM from working and (ii) messing with basic functionality. I am not (yet) savvy enough in OS X to know what logs to look in, or how to decipher them - but 'corrupt file' seems to be the likely case, based on my readings of apple.com forum threads. So I think I need to backup, outside of Time Machine, then install fresh OS X on a new drive (or maybe SpinRite the current drive?). I'm able to put a (non-Time Machine) external USB drive on, so I dragged all 3 Users' folders to that... am I done backing up? Am I going to have a massive Permissions problem, trying to put things back together after a re-install? Thanks for reading.

Should I add the following lines to crontab ? mysqldump -u root -pPASSWORD database_name | gzip > /home/backup/database_`date +\%m-\%d-\%Y`.sql.gz svn commit -m "Committing the working copy containing the database dump" 1) First of all, is this a good approach? 2) It is not clear how to specify the repository and the working copy with svn. 3) How can I run svn only when the mysqldump is done and not before ? Avoiding conflicts Any other tip ? thanks
