  • Keeping a certain row or column in an HTML table fixed

    I have huge amounts of data populating an HTML <table> having more than 200 rows and 200 columns. However, when i scroll the page horizontally or vertically to view the data, the header columns (like th for instance) go beyond the page. How can i scroll through the table and still keep the top row and leftmost column fixed so that i will always know what data im seeing.

    Hi, I am trying to show/load different editor on different rows of a editorgridpanel. Like a textbox on one row combobox/superboxselect on another and it could be any order, random. The conditions which dictate which editor will be shown reside in the database. Please tell me if this is possible and if so, how do i go about it.. I have tried pulling the conditions asynchronously which are pulled on a click event for the respective column, but calling it async causes problems. Please advise

  • Strange Values in SYS.DM_TRAN_LOCKS table RESOURCE_ASSOCIATED_ENTITY_ID column

    I’ve been trying to understand some strange values in the RESOURCE_ASSOCIATED_ENTITY_ID column of SYS.DM_TRAN_LOCKS when RESOURCE_TYPE is “OBJECT”. Although these should be object Ids, I cannot determine what object they actually refer to. I’ve tried everything I can think of, including querying all system tables with columns of type INT and BIGINT to see if I can find the value. No luck. The funny values actually appear in SYS.DM_TRAN_LOCKS, SYS.SYSLOCKINFO and SP_LOCK.

    I'm writing part of a web page that allows a user to build a table and fill it with information. In the course of building the table, the user will be adding additional columns with headers. I'd like to code it so when the combined width of all the headers causes one of them to wrap that the table columns switch to using vertical text (writing-mode: tb-rl).     My Table: [LocationId] [Address] [ZipCode] When I show a list of Location's, I also want to show the distance from a given zip code. In Asp.Net Web Forms I had a stored procedure that would return the distance and I would call this SP on ItemDataBound on my GridView. Or, I also would have my SP that is returning the Location list add another column ([Distance]) which I could display in my GridView. How would you do this using Entity Framework and Asp.Net Mvc 2?

    Hi everyone, SELECT * FROM jobs WHERE (SELECT DISTINCT jobs.* FROM jobs, job_requests WHERE (jobs.user_id = 1) OR (job_requests.user_id = 1 AND job_requests.job_id = jobs.id)) This sql gives me Mysql::Error: Operand should contain 1 column(s). If i execute the select from the where clause it works SELECT DISTINCT jobs.* FROM jobs, job_requests WHERE (jobs.user_id = 1) OR (job_requests.user_id = 1 AND job_requests.job_id = jobs.id) Could somebody explain me why? This query is generated by rails activerecord so the main select is needed.

    i create a view table like : CREATE VIEW ViewManager AS SELECT us.UserId AS 'Account Manager', ......... after that, when i run a query to select data from this view like : SELECT 'Account Manager' , .. from ViewManager then the data i get in this column is the text 'Account Manager' and not the value of the this columns. Is there a way to solve this ? Of course I can change the field name , but i want to know if there is another solution, thanks.

    Hello, is it possible to decorate a field of a LINQ generated class with [Column(IsDbGenerated=true)] using a buddy class (which is linked to the LINQ class via [MetadataType(typeof(BuddyMetadata))]) ? My goal is to be able to clear and repopulate the LINQ ORM designer without having to set the "Auto Generate Value" property manually every time to re-establish the fact that certain columns are autogenerated.
