  I have a custom TableView cell that contains a TextField and I want it to become the first responder as soon as the view is shown but [textcell.textfield becomeFirstResponder] does not work. I know it's because it's a custom cell in another class and I even tried it there and it didn't work. Anyone know how to pull this off? Thanks...

  I have a UITableView with a custom background image set like this: self.tableView.backgroundColor = [UIColor colorWithPatternImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"mybg.png"]]; The background appears fine, but my UITableViewCells (default cells, not custom) have some sort of weird tint to them, and the UILabel containing the "New Project" text also seems to have some sort of background behind it. Now I deployed my project onto the production server and the management command does not show up, respectively is not available. But I did not get an error message deploying the project (syncdb).
