  • VS 2010 problem?

    For a short time now I have had a problem or pain with the Breakpoint indicators, they do not show, yes I have the margin activated ( small grey stripe down the left side of the margin ). I have uninstalled all extensions, addins etc still no breakpoint indicator I have also deleted the .suo file with no go also. This is a major pain more than anything else. Anyone who has had this problem please help me out.

    Currently I am using Microsoft Sync Framework to synchronize databases. I need to gather information per record which is inserted/updated/deleted by Microsoft Sync Framework and do something with this information. The sync speed can go over 50.000 records per minute. So that means my additional code need to be very lightweight otherwise it will be a huge performance penalty. Microsoft Sync Framework raises an SyncProgress event for each record. What would be a good design to ensure that infected files are not uploaded to the server. Questions - would large files be copied onto disk and then immediately scanned, or would they be scanned as they are copied and not allowed to appear on disk if infected Should i build a seperate infrastructure around this to specifically ionvoke a scan on the copied file ? this might be an issue if the file is deleted through the real-time scan

    I have a table view and want to allow rearranging of all cells, however there are certain cells that i do not want to be allowed to be deleted. when the UiTableView is put into deletion mode i do not want the red '-' button to appear on the left hand side, and do not want the swipe gesture to bring up the Delete button of these cells but want it to happen for the others.     We had a SVN branch recently that had been merged back to trunk, and some more work on that feature/functional area was needed. I suggested using the same branch but was told you shouldn't re-use a branch once it has been integrated into trunk (a reference in SVN docs was given, I can't find it now). That suggests a branch is fairly useless once you merge back to trunk, so my question is once a branch is no longer needed, should it simply be deleted or kept?

    I'm using a Windows Service to do some directory cleaning (implementing a FileSystemWatcher). The problem I'm having is that sometimes, when several files in a directory are deleted, one of the files still shows in the Explorer window. If you refresh the window the file disappears. Similarly, if you right-click on it or try to copy it, a pop-up informs that it no longer exists. So what I'd like to know is: is there any way I can programmatically refresh the view of the Explorer window?
