  • Does git ignore empty folders?

    I created an Android project, added it to my git repo, comitted and pushed my clone to the master. Later I tried checking out the project and Eclipse complained about missing src folders. I checked my repo and the master repo and the src folders are missing (Im sure they were there when I created the project). So can someone explain what happened here? Im new to git so maybe I missed something?

    How can I perform this query on whatever way: delete from sys.tables where is_ms_shipped = 0 What happened is, I executed a very large query and I forgot to put USE directive on top of it, now I got a zillion tables on my master db, and don't want to delete them one by one. UPDATE: It's a brand new database, so I don't have to care about any previous data, the final result I want to achieve is to reset the master db to factory shipping.

    Normally visual studio brings up intellisense for available css classes, which it draws from css files linked to the current aspx/master document. Is there a way to get this to work in an ascx file in a similar way to referencing external JavaScript files in js files for the purpose of intellisense /// <reference path="jquery-1.4.1.js" /> I only want this for the purpose of intellisense and not getting squiggly lines under un-recognised classes. My css files will be actually linked from the aspx/master page.

But I have no idea how to bring these changes remotely so that the branches are deleted from origin and everyone can see the changes. I tried git push but that does not work Any help.

    I am looking at whether or not certain 'systems' for betting really do work as claimed, namely, that they have a positive expectation. One such system is based on the rebate on loss. You basically have a large master pot, say $1 million. Your bankroll for each game is $50k. The way it works, is as follows: 1) Start with $50k, always bet on banker 2) If you win, add the money to the master pot. Then play again with $50k. 3) If you lose(now you're at $30k) play till you either: (a) hit 0, you get a rebate of 10%. Begin playing again with $50k+5k=$55k. (b) If you win more than the initial bankroll, add the money to the master pot. Then play again with $50k. 4) Continue until you double the master pot. I just cant find an easy way of programming out the possible cases in R, since you can eventually go down an improbable path. For example, you start at 50k, lose 20, win 19, now you're at 49, now you lose 20, lose 20, now youre at 9, you either lose 9 and get back 5k or you win and this cycle continues until you either end up with more than 50k or hit 0 and get the rebate on the 50k and start again with $50k +5k. Here's some code i started, but i havent figured out a good way of handling the cases where you get stuck and keeping track of the number of games played. Thanks again for your help.     Hi, I'm currently working on a branch and want some commits to merge into other branches: /--a--b--c--d--e--f--g----- branchA (letters are commits) --o--------------------------- master -------------------------- branchB However I noticed that it would be a good idea to pool some commits. I want to "concatenate" commit a, d, e and g into one patch and commit it to master. Commits b and f should go as one commit to branchB. Is there a good 'git'-ish way to achieve it?

    I restarted my slave to change configuration settings to skip reverse hostname lookup on connecting and to enable the slow query log. I edited /etc/my.cnf making only these changes, then restarted mysqld with /etc/init.d/mysql restart All appeared to be well but when I connect to msyqld remotely or locally though it connects okay a slight problem is that mysqld crashes whenever you try to issue any kind of statement.
