• When spliting MP4s with ffmpeg how do I include metadata?

  I have a few MP4s that i want to upload to my flickr account but they have a maximum size of 500mb as mine is only about 550 i was planing to simply split them in half then upload them, but i want to make sure all the meta data is included but it does not seem to be. I have created my document, and made a web page with a meta refresh tag, along the lines of this: <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3;http://example.com/download.epl2" /> I specify that the document has a content-type of application/x-epl2, and I have associated .epl2 files on my computer with a program that silently sends them to the printer. I have put the website into my trusted sites zone. Currently Internet Explorer pops up the "Open, Save, Cancel" dialog box with no option to automatically open the file. Is there a setting in IE6/7/8 that I can use to have IE just open the file without prompting?

  I am looking at a bug in WebSVN where when I get into a file log and click on compare, it looses the repository name as part of the request. The details are unimportant. However, I've tracked down the bug to a http form that looks like this: <form method="get" action="comp.php?repname=Binaries&amp;" id="compare"> .... <input type="hidden" name="KEY" value="VALUE"> Is this supposed to work? Will both the "repname" argument, specified as part of the URL, and the hidden value be sent? It seems Chrome 4.1 only sends the hidden argument, and removes the repname parameter altogether. Is this correct? I fixed it temporarily, pending more information, by adding another hidden field for repname with the same value, and now everything works, I'm just wondering if Chrome or WebSVN is in fault here.

But when I export my java eclipse project eclipse warn me with following message: "JAR export finished with warnings.   This is probably a very silly question (I just started learning Prolog a few hours ago), but is it possible to find all the clauses related to an atom? For example, assuming the following knowledge base: cat(tom). animal(X) :- cat(X). , is there a way to obtain every possible information about tom (or at least all the facts that are explicitly stated in the base)? I understand that a query like this is not possible: ?- Pred(tom). so I thought I could write a rule that would deduce the correct information: meta(Object, Predicate) :- Goal =.. [Predicate, Object], call(Goal). so that I could write queries such as ?- meta(tom, Predicate). but this does not work because arguments to call are not sufficiently instantiated. So basically my question is: is this at all possible, or is Prolog not design to provide this kind of information? And if it is not possible, why?

• How do I merge a local branch into TFS

  hi, I did a stupid thing and branched my project on my local disk instead of doing it on the TFS. So now I have two projects on my disk: the old one which has TFS bindings and the new, which doesn't. I want to merge those changes back into the TFS project. How would I go about doing that? I can't do Compare because my local branch has no TFS bindings. There should be some way to compare the differences between the two projects locally and then meld the differences into the old project and check-in, but I can't find an easy way of doing that. Any other solutions?

  I have a WebView which I'm trying to have scale to a certain percent on loading the page. The iPhone version of this software uses the HTML meta-tag: <meta name="viewport" content="width=320, initial-scale=0.95, maximum-scale=2.0, user-scalable=1"> Since Android's WebView doesn't seem to respect that tag I hard-coded the percent using setInitialScale(). However, the WebView is just flat-out ignoring this method call. No matter what number I put in there it shows at 100%. Ideas?

  When using the usual formulas to calculate intersection between two 2D segments, ie here, if you round the result to an integer, you get non-symmetric results. That is, sometimes, due to rounding errors, I get that intersection(A,B)!=intersection(B,A). The best solution is to keep working with floats, and compare the results up to a certain precision. However, I must round the results to integers after calculating the intersection, I cannot keep working with floats. My best solution so far was to use some full order on the segments in the plane, and have intersection to always compare the smaller segment to the larger segment. Is there a better method? Am I missing something?

  Item in the recordset rstImportData("Flat Size") is = Null With that, given the following statement: IIF(IsNull(rstImportData("Flat Size")), Null, cstr(rstImportData("Flat Size"))) Result: Throws error 94: Invalid use of Null If I change the statement by removing the type conversion upon a false comparison: IIF(IsNull(rstImportData("Flat Size")), Null, 0) Result: Null It returns Null as it should have the first time. It appears that I cannot do a type conversion in an IIF if the value passed in should ever be null even if it passes an IIF test, it still attempts to evaluate it at both the true and false answer. The only reason I'm using IIF like this is because I have a 25 line comparison to compare data from an Import against a matching record in a database to see if I need to append the prior to history. Any thoughts? The way data is imported there will be null dates and where the spreadsheet import is in a string format I must convert either side to the other to compare the values properly but if either side is null this exception occurs :(

• Fastest way to compress a database or .bak file and transfer it

  As per the question title. I wonder if there are special programmes or commands that makes zipping up a .bak file and transferring it super quick. I read abour xp_cmdshell here but I'm not sure about the speed. My .bak file is about 12 gigs at the moment. Related to this is the possibility of using Red Gate's SQL Data Compare to just transfer the differential data across the network pipeline but I have never used SQL Data Compare before and I'm not sure how it goes about doing INSERTS on tables with Primary Keys and such. Also, not sure about the speed. Does anyone have any experience with this programme or similar programmes? Cheers!

First of all, let me explain what i want to do, i have an image that was split into 4 other small images.   Hi, In my java program, I am retrieving some data from xml. This xml has few international characters and is encoded in utf8. Now I read this xml using xml parser. Once I retrieve a particular international string from xml parser, I need to compare it with set of predefined strings. Problem is when i use string.equals on internatinal string comparison fails.   Does anyone know if its possible to send out custom http REQUEST headers in HTML without having to use javascript (no xhr wrapper). Would it be possible to define them as meta tags within the head? Or may they be defined in the form somewhere? <meta http-equip="x-something-custom" name="custom value" /> this works, however, this is a RESPONSE header. What I need to set a REQUEST header. I'm not looking for setting hidden fields in forms, but actual raw http header manipulation with html tags. Is this possible?

  Hi, I want to compare parts of byte[] efficiently - so I understand memcmp() should be used. I know I can using PInvoke to call memcmp() - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/43289/comparing-two-byte-arrays-in-net But, I want to compare only parts of the byte[] - using offset, and there is no memcmp() with offset since it uses pointers. int CompareBuffers(byte[] buffer1, int offset1, byte[] buffer2, int offset2, int count) { // Somehow call memcmp(&buffer1+offset1, &buffer2+offset2, count) } Should I use C++/CLI to do that? Should I use PInvoke with IntPtr? How? Thank you.

• Simplest way to use isdigit and isalpha commands ?

  Hello, Can anyone briefly explain how do these two commands work ? isdigit and isalpha .. Ofcourse I read online sources before asking the question, but unfortunately I tried them and didnt get them to work. What is the simplest way ? I know it gives back a value, so im assuming I can use it like this : if(isdigit(someinput)==1) return -1; Is that correct ? can I use this for any number ? Can I compare it with a float number ? Can I compare arrays ? Can I also use it when scanning documents or files ? For example, if I want to scanf a text file that has numbers and letters, and determine is what im scanning (isdigit) or (isalpha) ?? Thanks :)

• Facelets charset problem

  Hi! In my earlier post there was a problem with JSF charset handling, but also the other part of the problem was MySQL connection parameters for inserting data into db. The problem was solved. But, I migrated the same application from JSP to facelets and the same problem happened again. Characters from input fields are replaced when inserting to database (c is replaced with Ä), but data inserted into db from sql scripts with proper charset are displayed correctly. I'm still using registered filter and page templates are used with head meta tag as following: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2"> If I insert into h:form tag the following attribute: acceptcharset="iso-8859-2" I get correct characters in Firefox, but not in IE7. Is there anything else I should do to make it work? Thanks in advance.
