  I am using Eclipse and SVNSubversion as a repository for a Java project. After updating the local repository and starting Eclipse, an error (in the Problems tab) appeared stating that a specific prop-base file was missing from the build path. Being inexperienced, I have accidentally deleted the prop-base file icon from the project build-path library section. Since then the numbers of errors have grown exponentially... What should I do? Updating the local repository and/or starting a new Eclipse project from the same source did not solve the problem, does anyone have an idea?

  XCode won't open. I had it running fine a couple of weeks ago. Now I get the following error message when XCode tries to open: Internal Error File: /SourceCache/DevToolsBase/.../XCPlatformSpecification.m Line: 438 Object: <XCPlatformSp(ecification> Method: loadAllPlatforms The Mac OS X platform is missing - cannot set a default platform. Any idea what caused this or how I can recover? Changes I have made to my system (Snow Leopard) in the last couple of weeks include (a) allowing Software Update to run and (b) installing Eclipse IDE. But the problem may or may not be related to these changes.

  When I vertex paint and export my models from Blender (or Maya) for use in my XNA 4.0 project, I somehow lose the vertex color channel for the model. I use no custom model object or content pipelines and my own shader throws me the error: The current vertex declaration does not include all the elements required by the current vertex shader. Color0 is missing. I tryed to reopen the model in other modeling tools and the vertex colors are there. What could cause the vertex color channel to not get loaded in XNA 4.0? How do I get WCF to generate soap 1.1 WSDL ? or What should I tell the Java team to do so their tools can understand the newer protocol?

• Django Template Inheritance -- Missing Images?

  Howdy, I have got the following file heirarchy: project   other stuff   templates       images           images for site       app1           templates for app1       registration           login template       base.html (base for entire site)       style.css (for base.html) In the login template, I am extending 'base.html.' 'base.html' uses 'style.css' along with all of the images in the 'templates/images' directory. For some reason, none of the CSS styles or images will show up in the login template, even though I'm extending it. Does this missing image issue have something to do with screwed up "media" settings somewhere? I never understood those, but this is a major roadblock in my proof-of-concept, so any help is appreciated. Thanks!

• Missing System.Core.dll and others on Visual Studio 2010 Project targeting 3.5 Framework

  I just got Visual Studio 2010 installed and running on my development machine (alongside VS 2008). The first thing I did was make a copy of an existing project and convert it up to the VS 2010 project. I told the conversion wizard to leave the project targeting the 3.5 framework. The project compiles and runs just fine in VS 2008. When I go to build it, several of my references are marked as missing (System.Core, System.Xml.Linq, System.Data.DataSetExtensions). When I go to the Add Reference dialog, they are not present. Yet if I view the GAC at C:\Windows\Assembly, I can see the entries there. I have tried converting the projects to 4.0, then back down to 3.5, and also unloading/reloading the projects. Nothing works. Has anyone else ran across this problem?

• internet explorer ebay listing html/css problem

  The code i wrote for ebay listings seems to be different for the same listing depending on if it is opened with internet explorer or firefox. the source i uploaded to ebay was the same now when i view the code in firefox it shows correctly but in internet explorer it does not. when looking at the source taken from the ebay listing online the source code differs between the browsers even though it is from the same listing and same code.   Hi guys, i'm studying the fastcgi developement kit because i'm writing a new scripting language and i'd like to write a fastcgi version of the interpreter to run scripts as webpages. I'm using this example from the sdk, located at /srv/http/bin/echocpp So, in my httpd.conf file, i have the following lines : FastCgiServer /srv/http/bin/echocpp -idle-timeout 120 -processes 4 ScriptAlias / /srv/http/bin/echocpp/ ... ... AddHandler fastcgi-script hy Where 'hy' is the extensions of my scripts. Then, when i try browse, for instance http://localhost/~evilsocket/prime.hy I see all the environment variables as expected from the echo-cpp.cpp programm, except for the SCRIPT_NAME that is empty. Is there something i'm missing out of this? How am i supposed to obtain the full path of the script to run it inside my fastcgi version of the interpreter? Thanks

• Subversion update misses new directories

  Hi all, Periodically we have trouble with SVN when doing updates. Very occasionally when someone adds a new directory doing an update through Tortoise doesn't work. If we do a "Fully Recursive" update using "Update from revision..." option then it picks it up fine. I'm poked around and seen this question which is virtually identical but with no answer. I've found the item on the SVN website, referenced by that post, that talks about an issue in 1.6.0 which is now fixed. However my SVN version is 1.6.9 and Tortoise is 1.6.7 so I wouldn't expect to have this problem any more. This only seems to occur with new directories, never seen it for individual files. We may have had older versions of Tortoise at one point (can't remember which tho) so maybe some issue has been introduced into our repo that an upgrade doesn't solve. We have the workaround but it wastes a few minutes of head-scratching after failed builds to figure it out and people who haven't come across this problem before really struggle until they ask someone else. Anyone know if this is a known bug and any permanent solutions? Thanks.

• Missing something with Reader monad - passing the damn thing around everywhere

  Learning Haskell, managing syntax, have a rough grasp of what monads etc are about but I'm clearly missing something. In main I can read my config file, and supply it as runReader (somefunc) myEnv just fine. But somefunc doesn't need access to the myEnv the reader supplies, nor do the next couple in the chain. The function that needs something from myEnv is a tiny leaf function. So - how do I get access to the environment in a function without tagging all the intervening functions as (Reader Env)? That can't be right because otherwise you'd just pass myEnv around in the first place. And passing unused parameters through multiple levels of functions is just ugly (isn't it?). There are plenty of examples I can find on the net but they all seem to have only one level between runReader and accessing the environment.
