  Hello All, I have two OPEN-ID accounts referenced with same gmail address, now i forget one of my Open ID account's password and when i tried to recover my password then the mail sent by The MyOpen ID Team having second one open-id account's password change link whereas i need first one open-id password. i tries a lot of times to recover but each time mail having second open-id passord change link so what do i do to recover my first open-id password whereas i m able to login from that open-id via gmail account. i have mailed to open id teams many times already? but no answer?? how do i collect all open ID password reset link referencing same email address??

• Ubuntu 12.10 webapps don't open correctly when using Chromium

  I have just installed Ubuntu 12.10 completely fresh, the old version of Ubuntu was discarded or overwritten (or whatever you call it). I want to use the Ubuntu webapps with Chromium but I've had several problems. }The first problem is that Chromium won't ask me if I want to install a webapp if I go to a supported site (and I don't already have the webapp installed). The second problem is that when I install the webapp by visiting the site in Firefox, and then I try to open it in Chromium, Ubuntu will open a completely new Chromium icon and window in the Launcher, and the icon will be labeled "Untitled"; also there is no search bar in the new window, only the tab at the top. I've tried using several webapps with Firefox set as the default browser and they work as expected: once the webapp icon is clicked a Firefox window is opened on the Firefox launcher icon, and the window has 'new tab' button and search bar.

  I am running Photoshop CS2 under Ubuntu 10.10 with Wine 1.3.23. I would like to be able to associate various file types with Photoshop. I'd previously used this script: #!/bin/sh QUICKPARLOCATION="c:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Photoshop CS2\\Photoshop.exe" PARAM=`winepath -w "$*"` wine "$QUICKPARLOCATION" "$PARAM" exit 0 If I make this script be the customer command that's tied to "Open With," Photoshop launches, but doesn't appear to be properly passing the file name, so that file doesn't open. I'd had this working previously under earlier versions of Ubuntu and wine. P.S. please no commentary on using GIMP or other Photoshop alternatives

• Recommend an open source CMS for single page web site

  Hi I want to create a single page web site like http://kiskolabs.com/ or http://www.carat.se to display my portfolio. I want to add new products after launching the site without having to edit the entire site. I've looked at opencart (too much for single page site), Magneto (more for ecommerce), Wordpress (couldn't find open source / free templates which i can start from). Can you suggest a CMS which will support the creation of a single page site and allow insertion of new products without having to edit the entire page? I would prefer a CMS which also has open source / free templates which I can tweak for my use. I can do php and mysql, xml. If it is an easier option I can do PSD to site (but don't know much about this at all).

  I've decided to finally get rid of all Microsoft crap and switched to linux yesterday (It feels so good!) I'm looking for a way to create a cross-platform app with a GUI using an open-source language. I came across python with qt4 (or qt5). I give a thought to Java but it's a memory eater... I'm wondering which other good options is available before starting my journey with those 2 and which tools are good to help me code. I'm currently using Eclipse for all my programming needs. • Converting MOD files to quicktime or mpeg for adobe premiere pro

  Ive been Editing lots of videos lately. My company got a video camera: Canon Legria FS200. It saves the movies in a digital format as MOD files. Unfortunately, Adobe Premiere doesnt work with these files. I needed software to convert MOD files to QuickTime or mpeg files. I found a good free one : Its called Mpeg StreamClip:  It works well. and its pretty fast. And its Free. Whats not to like? ...Did you know that DotNetSlackers also publishes .net articles written by top known .net Authors? We already have over 80 articles in several categories including Silverlight. • Places to find free software projects who need developers/project managers?

  While I have plenty of project management "booksmarts" and a handful of PM experience, I don't seem to have enough experience to get the sort of job I want. Since "I read another PM book/blog today" doesn't really count, I was thinking I could find some free/open source software (FOSS) projects who are looking for/hiring project managers or developers and see if there was anything I could volunteer for. Does anyone know of any FOSS employment sites where I might be able to find such projects? Something similar to careers.stackoverflow.com. I know I could just go to sourceforge/freshmeat and look around, but I was hoping to find some site that fills this need (and if any such sites exist, my google-fu is apparently VERY weak at finding them).

• Depending on another open source library: copy/paste code or include

  I'm working on a large class and started implementing new features that need graphics. I started writing the graphics functions myself, but I know that open source libraries exist that can provide me with this functionality without me having to write it myself. The problem is that I prefer the class to be self-sufficient and not dependent on any other library. If I don't write it myself, I would have to ask the user to make sure a graphics library is already installed (less user-friendly). If I write it myself, I do a lot more work than I have to. I could also copy/paste some of the relevant code into my own class, but not sure about the disadvantages of doing this (it's an open source library that matches my license, so I'm not concerned with legality, just programming-wise if there are disadvantages). So what should I do: copy paste code from the external library write the code myself so it's truly self-sufficient ask the user to download and install another library

• Preferred apache permissions for www files with several authors

  I can't for the life of me figure out how to design my permissions scheme for my apache files. My requirements seem pretty simple: Apache should have standard permissions of RX for Directories and R for files Web authors should have RWX for Directories and RW for files Don't want to give any access to "other" Want new files/folders to inherit the proper permissions Here are the schemes I've tried 570 for directories and 460 for files Owner: Apache Group: Webdev The problem here is that new files created by users int the Webdev group are owned by user:Webdev and Apache can't read them. If Apache were in the group Webdev then it would also have the wrong permissions (ie it would have Write permissions to files) 750 for directories and 640 for files Owner: Webdev Group: Apache (Webdev is a member of Apache) The problem here is that there is only one webdev account and I have multiple people who need access to contribute. In theory this would work with only one developer if Webdev were also a member of the Apache group. Any ideas?

• How to install Radeon Open Source Driver in Ubuntu 12.04

  I have an MSI Radeon HD 7850 card. MSI provide no Linux support, and the AMD driver gives me an Unsupported Hardware watermark that does not show up in screenshots. I uninstalled the proprietary driver and found that Unity 3D no longer works, and I really only picked Ubuntu because of the excellent shortcuts provided in the recent versions. Trying to locate the open source driver has been a pain for me. According to the documentation I have read it is pre-included in Ubuntu 12.04, yet there is no Unity 3D support. I tried using the newest drivers from AMD's website, but that also had the watermark. Does anyone know how I can get the open source driver? If not, does anyone know how to remove the watermark. I'm on the verge of going back to Windows.

For the first time ever, I actually want to contribute to open source because I believe in this tech. • Unable to mount location, Can't mount file

  I'm a new user to Ubuntu and I have a problem: I had Windows XP in my computer and I had two partitions: C (for system data) and D(for my personal stuff), then, during the Ubuntu installation I chose the Advanced Settings and formated C partition and left D partition intact, went back and chose Install Ubuntu and replace Windows and it installed fine. The problem is that now I open Nautilus and go to Computer, in there it shows my D partition, 640 Hard Disk, but when I try to mount it displays me a message: "Unable to mount location. Can't mount file". I ask you to explain me step-by-step what I need to do because I'm not an advanced user. My computer specs: 2 GiB RAM, Proccesor Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz × 2, Graphics Unknow (It's Nvidia GeForce 220 {1GB} or something), OS type 32-bit, Disk 628.0 GB P.S.: My HDD is internal, I'm not using external Hard Drives. • Google Site Search (commercial) not indexing files in sitemap

  I have a client for whom we have purchased Google Site Search. It works well for HTML pages served by the CMS, but files aren't being reliably indexed. I wrote a script to generate an XML feed (sitemap) of all the files in the CMS which I've plugged in to Google Webmaster Tools for the site. It says that for that sitemap 923 URLs have been submitted, but only 26 have been indexed. The client relies heavily on searching within files, which is why we decided to use Google search, so this is a bit of a problem. Many of the files aren't linked to from any page on the site, as they are old and therefore don't merit having a page of their own. But they still need to be accessible through search for archiving purposes. The file archive xml can be found at www.sniffer.org.uk/file-archive and the standard xml sitemap (of pages) can be found at www.sniffer.org.uk/sitemap.xml. Any thought would be much appreciated!

• MacMini (running Ubuntu 14.04) loses wlan connection when uploading larger files (several 100 mb) via ownCloud

  I installed Ubuntu 14.04 on an old MacMini with the intention of running it as a homeserver. Additionally I installed ownCloud and tried to sync some files both from a laptop running elementaryOS and a desktop running windows 7. Syncing smaller files workes like a charm (4000 files at <10mb each) but when it comes to bigger files (1 GB ubuntu iso e.g.) the upload failes after 20-100mb. I can't ping the server anymore and the server can't ping me. It still shows up in our router as connected though. Disconnecting and reconnecting the wlan connection fixes the issue until the next attempt at syncing. • Windows 7 - Move open programs more freely on the taskbar

  When I used Windows XP last year, I had a program called Taskix which let me move the tabs in the taskbar around for programs in any order I wanted. Now that I have Windows 7, a similar function comes built into the operating system - however, it isn't as flexible as Taskix was in XP. Theoretical situation: 1. Open a folder named #1 2. In folder #1, open an instance of a program 3. Open a folder named #2 4. In folder #2, open an instance of the same program that was opened in step 2. After doing this, I will have (in order, on the taskbar) 2 folders open and 2 instances of the programs open. My question really is: Is there any way to fight this automatic ordering of tabs on the taskbar? A registry hack or something would be best, but if there's a third party program out there, that would be nice to know about. Thanks!
