    How can I do the following with c# attributes. Below is a snippet of Java that annotates parameters in a constructor. public class Factory { private final String name; private final String value; public Factory(@Inject("name") String name, @Inject("value") String value) { this.name = name; this.value = value; } } From looking at c# annotations it does not look like I can annotate parameters. Is this possible?

  • Passing extended parameter into Sql 2008 connection string

    Hi, I have a need to support extensive auditing capabilities for a system backing into Sql Server 2008. Since I plan to use LINQ (with no Stored Procs), the database would be a clean, zero contact data repository. However, I need to pratically record a snapshot of every change that happens in the db. So, I thought I should use triggers. But then, I need a user id for the particular user (not the connection string user id) to flow through into the database. In oracle, I should have been able to set up a PROXY USER and the trigger would be able to pick that up. Last I checked, there was no proxy user concept in Sql Server. Does anyone know if there's any extender property I can use to flow through my authenticated user name? ps: I don't mind the impact on connection pooling (if any). Thanks. P

    The API defined in the ADL SDK manual reads: int ADL_Display_ConnectedDisplays_Get(int iAdapterIndex, int* lpConnections) They say that lpConnections is the pointer to the bit field indicating whether the output connectors on the specified adapter have devices physically attached to them. This information is exactly what I want but nowhere in the documentation I could find any data on what the various bits in the lpConnections obtained might mean. I also tried going through the header files but found nothing relevant on this. I know this is very specific to but can anyone here answer?

    Suppose I have the following class heirarchy: class A() class B(a:A) class C(b:B) class BaseClass(b:B, c:C) Now I want to implement a subclass of BaseClass, which is given an instance of A, and constructs instances of B and C, which it passes to its superclass constructor. If I could use arbitrary expressions, I'd do something like this: b = new B(a) c = new C(b) super(b, c) Because the second argument to the parent constructor depends on the value of the first argument, though, I can't see any way to do this, without using a factory function, or a gratuitous hack, such as : class IntermediateSubclass(b:B) extends BaseClass(b, new C(b)) class RealSubclass(a:A) extends IntermediateSubclass(new B(a)) Is there clean way to do this?

  • printf not passing correct Hex Address to stack

    I have a hickup in using printf . I am on ubuntu 10.04. Basically i have a C program asking for some input and then prints it back. It is OK for printing something after inputing. I tried to insert some Hex Address to Stack by following format:- printf "hello world!\x12\x23\x34" | ./input1 But i don't know what is the problem. If i give only string beyond 12 bytes it overwrites BUT If I give hex address(through printf), it doesn't overwrite on return address. Instead it stores some other thing. Could anyone help??? I can't proceed further becoz of this. Thanks in advance

    I'm trying to pass a list of numeric values (ids) from one web page to another with jQuery ajax call. I can't figure out how to pass and read all the values in the list. I can successfully post and read 1 value but not multiple values. So my ingredients view picks up only terid=2. What am I doing wrong? EDIT: To clarify, I need the ourid variable pass values [1, 2] to the filter in the ingredients view.

    This works fine: NSString *myVariable; - (IBAction) doFirstAction { myVariable = @"123456789"; } - (IBAction) doSecondAction { NSLog(@"%@",myVariable); } However, if I do this (substituting the @"123456789" for some code which returns the same value ie "123456789") I cannot access the value in doSecondAction. NSString *myVariable; - (IBAction) doFirstAction { myVariable = [imageNode getAttributeName:@"value"]; } - (IBAction) doSecondAction { NSLog(@"%@",myVariable); } Any clue as to why I cant access myVariable outside of doFirstAction?

The code for the directionForm.RunMotors() is the following: public void RunMotors(float x, float y) { label1.Text = "X-ordinate " + x.ToString(); label2.Text = "Y-ordinate " + y.ToString(); } The error happen when I am trying to display the two variables: "InvalidOperationException was unhandled Cross-threading operation not valid: Control label1 accessed from a thread other than . the thread it was created on" What shall I do???     i have 2 aspx webpages with vb.net code. On the first page, I have a text box, on first page that says "Enter Hobby", but its not a required textbox. So if the user clicks submit, it'll load up the second page. Now in the second page i have textbox "hobby" which has maxlength = 10. and in the vb.net code i have hobby.text = session("hobby"). if the user doesnt fill up hobby in first page, the session comes with 10 "spaces" since maxlength is 10. I tried hobby.text = TRIM(session("hobby"), but nothing happens. Any idea how i can lose the spaces if nothing is inputted?

This is what i used: file_count = sum((len(f) for _, _, f in os.walk('path'))) This works fine when we specify the path as a string in quotes, but when I enter a variable name that holds the path, type(file_count) is a generator object, and hence cannot be used as an integer. How to solve this and why does this happen?

    Hey guys . i have two classes, SelectionScreenTable & GraphView. In the SelectionScreenTable class .h, i declared a NSMutableArray called usagedatas NSMutableArray *usagedatas; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *usagedatas; In the SelectionScreenTable class.m i remembered to @synthesize. Later on, while processing my methods, i did a NSLog(@"usagedatas count:%i",usagedatas.count); to check whether it has value and it returned 1. so yeah its good up to this point. And in the -(void) dealloc , i remembered to released it . [usagedatas release]; So now comes ME trying to use it in another class. In GraphView.m i imported the "SelectionScreenTable.h". in the -(void)viewDidLoad i did SelectionScreenTable *UD = [SelectionScreenTable alloc]; NSLog(@"GraphView UD.usagedataas.count = :%i",UD.usagedatas.count); it returned 0. Any idea guys?

    hello. while testing with different version of g++, the following problem came up template<class bra> struct Transform<bra, void> : kernel::Eri::Transform::bra { static const size_t ni = bra::A::size; bra::A is interpreted as kernel::Eri::Transform::bra::A, rather than template argument by g++ 4.1.2. on the other hand, g++ 4.3 gets it right. what should be correct behavior according to standard? Meanwhile, I refactor slightly to make problem go away.

It works in that it hides $(var4).hide();, but clicking on the object doesn't seem to do anything. It works if I take the code out of a function and just copy/paste it a few times and change the targets. I'm not seeing it... Any help would be appreciated!
