• Image links work but show "broken image" in IE.

  I have a problem. I have made some image files for a menu. They work fine in Firefox, but IE (8, haven't tested with others) and Chrome show a broken image.. Image, on top. Even though the images work. The page is here: http://www.silkeborgmuseum.dk/udvikling/index.php This is a very old page of mine but I need to make it work. I have tried searching google and stackoverflow, but have not so far been able to find anyone else having this problem or what is causing it. Can anyone help? As a parting comment, I will say that I have only been developing websites for a few months, but wow, i already hate IE with a fiery passion.

Rather than buttons i would like to insert my own text/image and have them work in the same way, revealing and hiding the new windows. • jQuery slider - set background color to show desired range

  Howdy, I'm setting up a Filament Group jQuery UI slider and using it in a gradebook. We need to allow teachers to set a desired background range (to show the desirable values vs. the actual value for a given grade). I'm hoping to set a shaded area (as shown in this picture) that would indicate to people viewing the slider which values are desirable. If the handle is within the desired ranges, then the value is satisfactory. If the handle is out of the background shaded range, then some changes may need to happen. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Based on what I've experimented with using Firebug, it looks like a <div class="ui-slider"> is setup, but the values inside of it don't seem to allow setting background-colors (only the div allows for that).   I a building an application with a similar layout to iTunes i.e. it has a sidebar that doubles as a menu. Some of the text will exceed the boundary and rather that having it be truncated I would like to show ellipses (see line image below "Purchased on My iPh..."). How would I go about this in WPF? Suppose I made the boundary movable i.e. user can change the size of the panel (split panel in Windows Forms), how would I go about dynamically showing the ellipses/text? Thanks in advance, B

  hello im trying to make a simple page with search engine. i read, that if i want to implement autocomplete/autosuggest with form, i have to use ajax. thats ok for me. there are a lot solutions on the intenret, but unfortunetly all of them is the same script :/ and thats fine for me :) but i want to go further. i want to show autosuggest results in table for example below search form. the data is stored in a simple array (eventualy, source mysql) i know that kind of script isnt easy to write, so i ask you to give me a hint or something. trivial solution is use php, but this needs submit button. help, im stuck :)

  I have the following html: <li> <span class="one">Stuff here</span> <span class="two">More stuff</span> </li> .one { display: block; } .two { display: none; } What is the easiest method, preferably CSS only, to hide one and show two when the mouse rolls over the <li> container. If this cannot be done via CSS and only Javascript, I would prefer jQuery via something like live() as the content is updated live and do not wish to constantly rebind manually. EDIT: I forgot to mention that this has to work in IE6 :/

  Since 2007, I had a Macbook and it has a program called Preview that can highlight and add notes to a PDF file. So for this 3 years, I tried to find a similar program on Windows and it looks like the best is still Adobe Acrobat, about 200MB, 300MB in size, good for 30 days, and if purchased, for about $400. Is there a simple tool on Windows that can let us highlight text (and possibly add notes / annotation)? Just highlighting is good enough and it doesn't look like a very complication operation. thanks.

  I make a game extending the class GLSurfaceView, if I apply SetContentView directly to that class, the 3d stuff and input works great. Now I want to show some items over 3d stuff, so I create a XML with a layout and some objects, and I try to add my class manually to the layout. • WPF 4.0 Custom panel won't show dynamically added controls in VS 2010 Designer

When I run the application the static and dynamically added controls show up perfectly, but the dynamic controls do not appear within the visual studio designer. Only the controls placed declaratively in the XAML appear. I'm currently adding the dynamic control in the CreateUIElementCollection override, but I've also tried this in the constructor without success. • How to show an image on jasper report?

  Hi, I want to show an image on a jasper report. I have the following on the .jrxml: <image> <reportElement x="181" y="0" width="209" height="74"/> <imageExpression class="java.lang.String"><![CDATA["logo.jpg"]]></imageExpression> </image> The image logo.jpg is in the same directory as the .jrxml. By just putting that it didn't work for me. I googled a bit and found out that jasper report considers what i put on the .jrxml as a relative path to the JVM directory and that to change this I need to pass as a "REPORT_FILE_RESOLVER" parameter a FileResolver that returns the file. So, I did the following in my .java (is located in same place as the .jrxml and the image) FileResolver fileResolver = new FileResolver() { @Override public File resolveFile(String fileName) { return new File(fileName); } }; HashMap<String, Object> parameters = new HashMap<String, Object>(); parameters.put("REPORT_FILE_RESOLVER", fileResolver); ... Which should return the expected file, but I still get a net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRException: Error loading byte data : logo.jpg at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadBytes(JRLoader.java:301) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.util.JRLoader.loadBytesFromLocation(JRLoader.java:479) at net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRImageRenderer.getInstance(JRImageRenderer.java:180) ... • UISplitView show different views in the detail pane

  How can I change the view in the Details pane of the UISplitView so that its a completely different view? Im having a fair amount of trouble understanding how its all wired up and where things should go at the moment, could someone please enlighten me? What I would love to be able to do is to show a specific view based on what the user has selected in the UITableView on the left pane (this view could be an image, or a more complex view of a news article, etc... many different options) then when the user turns the iPad into portrait view, that view that was in the details pane changes to be its equivalent portrait view version. Does this make sense? How on earth would I do that? Just to brainstorm, here is what I was thinking: Create a Split View project Create 2 NIBs for each view: (with accompanying view controllers???) * PortraitNewsStory * LandscapeNewsStory * PortraitImageBrowser * LandscapeImageBrowser * etc... Create a UISplitView control using XCode Capture when a user rotates the iPad (should this be done in the RootViewController.m ?) • Treeview does not refresh to show childnode moved from one parent node to another

  I am using the Windows Forms TreeView class which contains a set of TreeNodes. The TreeNodes can have child nodes. I have a root node with 2 sub nodes (Node1 and Node2) Node1 has 2 subnodes (child1 and child2) I have a function that will allow a user to select any node and move it to another node: TreeNode SelectNode = this.TreeView1.SelectedNode; TreeNode DestNode = SelectedNewNode(); //function to select a new node SelectedNode.Remove(); DestNode.Nodes.Add(SelectedNode); this.TreeView1.Refresh(); When this executes, the current selected node (child2) is removed from its current parent (Node1) and added to Node2. However, the Refresh() method of the TreeView control does not show that child2 is under Node2. If I debug it and look at the Nodes collection in the TreeView i do see that child2 is under Node2. Can anyone tell me why the Refresh() method does not redraw the new parent to child mapping? Is there a way to tell the TreeView to redraw with the new mappings?

  Hi, I have added some table and other vies in a scrollview. scrolling in tables are working fine. But in the parent scrollview, when scrolling, a vacillating vertical scrollbars are shown, sometimes it even come to the middle of the screen. sometime show at the left side of the screen. and not limited to the vertical scrollbar region. When I set tje showsVerticalScrollIndicator = NO, it is not shown. But do you know why the scrollbar is moving around.   I'll show you my output here: rake gems (in /Users/jp/Sites/central/trunk) - [F] authlogic - [R] activesupport - [F] builder - [F] formtastic - [R] activesupport >= 2.3.0 - [R] actionpack >= 2.3.0 - [ ] fastercsv I = Installed F = Frozen R = Framework (loaded before rails starts) Making sure fastercsv is installed: gem which fastercsv /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/fastercsv-1.5.3/lib/fastercsv.rb After installing through a variety of methods but only one is shown here: sudo rake gems:install (in /Users/jp/central/trunk) gem install fastercsv Successfully installed fastercsv-1.5.3 1 gem installed Installing ri documentation for fastercsv-1.5.3... Installing RDoc documentation for fastercsv-1.5.3... And try it again. rake gems (in /Users/jp/Sites/central/trunk) - [F] authlogic - [R] activesupport - [F] builder - [F] formtastic - [R] activesupport >= 2.3.0 - [R] actionpack >= 2.3.0 - [ ] fastercsv I = Installed F = Frozen R = Framework (loaded before rails starts) One thing to know is that I tried unpacking the gems but if it doesn't think it's installed it can't unpack it. Another thing is that I really tried to figure this out. There's a bunch of people saying clean up local gems in your user account, always install with sudo, etc. But I've tried all that.   I need to find a way to show the value of a custom attribute in place of the "Product Name" shown in the image below. EDIT: So the answer turned out to be quite simple. You see what I failed to mention above was that there was indeed output... but that it was just a number (eg: 52). Turns out this was the ID for that custom attribute value (It was a Dropdown type of custom attribute). So in summary This works for custom attributes of type text: echo $this->htmlEscape($_item->getYearmade()) But for all other types of custom attribute (I think), the following should be used: echo $this->htmlEscape($_item->getAttributeText('yearmade')) I would not have discovered this without the most excellent answer provided by Alan Storm, below. • Triangle numbers problem....show within 4 seconds

  The sequence of triangle numbers is generated by adding the natural numbers. So the 7th triangle number would be 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 = 28. The first ten terms would be: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28, 36, 45, 55, ... Let us list the factors of the first seven triangle numbers: 1: 1 3: 1,3 6: 1,2,3,6 10: 1,2,5,10 15: 1,3,5,15 21: 1,3,7,21 28: 1,2,4,7,14,28 We can see that 28 is the first triangle number to have over five divisors. Given an integer n, display the first triangle number having at least n divisors. Sample Input: 5 Output 28 Input Constraints: 1<=n<=320 I was obviously able to do this question, but I used a naive algorithm: Get n. Find triangle numbers and check their number of factors using the mod operator. But the challenge was to show the output within 4 seconds of input. On high inputs like 190 and above it took almost 15-16 seconds. Then I tried to put the triangle numbers and their number of factors in a 2d array first and then get the input from the user and search the array. But somehow I couldn't do it: I got a lot of processor faults. Please try doing it with this method and paste the code. Or if there are any better ways, please tell me.
