  Hi All, I am trying to set up a Approval workflow when item created and item updated event on a list and then update the approval status as workflow complete. Now when I create a new Item the workflow kicks off as expected. When I edit the same item and approve the item new workflow get started as the item get edit. It seems to be workflow falls in loop if I se an Approval workflow on new item created and Item Edit events. I Google for it and I found that Microsoft has come up with hotfix to overcome this issue. I have installed it on my machine but still the problem persist. Is there are any prerequisites needed for this ? or any other service pack or specific version of service pack needs be installed on machine to make this hotfix running.   When the user is entering a number into a text box, I would like them to be able to press Enter and simulate pressing an Update button elsewhere on the form. I have looked this up several places online, and this seems to be the code I want, but it's not working. When data has been put in the text box and Enter is pressed, all I get is a ding. • solution on SP and EF & Ria Service

  As EF 4.0 released, more support to SQL server Stored procedure. Complex Type can be generated automatically for result dataset of SP. But complex type not support by Ria Service. When I try to use ria service combined with EF 4.0, I want to get dataset by SP. This result is not mapped to any entity/table. Some sulutions suggested by community are: 1. Create view to map sp result. (but for EF, if there is no ID or primary, can't be map to any entity) 2. Create Entity to map sp result.(for this, you even need to map SP for CRUD even though I don't need CUD on this sp result) Also above solution can't be automated. As Database objects maybe changed with the time, auto update edm will lost above solution. So what's the solution? I want to put data operation back to DB as possible, so that many changes can be done in DB and no need to rebuild .net assemblies(this cause redeploy).

  Hi, i have a question regarding some complex data-binding. I want to be able to update a grid (which has the property "IsItemsHost" set to true) dynamically whenever a data-binding occurs. To be more specific, i bind the grid to some items and i want to change the number of grid rows depending on these items, add something like a header (one row containing some text), and set the items' Grid.Row and Grid.Column using some custom logic. What is the easiest way to apply such behaviour whenever the bound data is updated? Do i have to use a viewmodel that also contains the header data? Thanks in advance.

  Im looking for some advice/suggestions on how I should setup the work flow of a small application Im building. When the application is launched the datagrid will be populated via the XML file. Once running the application will receive a datastream that I hope to update the file and datagrid. So Im curious what you would suggest on how I setup the workflow (ie, split the data from the data stream and simultaneously populate the file and grid or would you suggest populating the XML file first and setting up a timer to have the grid read the file?)   I sometimes write SELECTs on the form: SELECT a.col1+b.col2*c.col4 as calc_col1, a.col1+b.col2*c.col4 + xxx as calc_col1_PLUS_MORE FROM .... INNER JOIN ... ON a.col1+b.col2*c.col4 < d.some_threshold WHERE a.col1+b.col2*c.col4 > 0 When the calculations get rather involved and used up to 3-5 times within the same SELECT, I would really like to refactor that out in a function or similar in order to 1) hopefully improve performance / make use of cache 2) avoid forgetting to update one of the 4 calculations when I at a later stage realize I need to change the calculation. I usually have these selects within SPs. Any ideas?

I've got declarative authorization working for just about everything that doesn't involve using conditionals. E.g. has_permission_on :users, :to => [:edit, :update, :destroy] do if_attribute :user => is { current_user } end Are there any common pitfalls with Declarative Authorization? I'm using authlogic and I'm suspicious the 'current_user' method in the application controller might be the source of the problem.

  As a means of simple security, I was previously checking the digital signature of a downloaded update package for my program against its public key to ensure that it originated from me. However, as I'm using cheap code signing certs (Tucows), I am unable to renew an existing cert and therefore the keys change every time I need to renew. Therefore, a more reliable means would be to verify the organization information embedded in the signed assembly (which is displayed in the UAC dialog) against my well-known organization string, as this will continue to be the same. Does anyone know how to obtain this information from a digitally-signed assembly?

What regex could I use which would detect this, using $_GET['permalink'] as the reference to the permalinks? And avoid false positives?   Hello, i have the following mysql table: myTable: id int auto_increment voucher int not null id_user int null I've populated voucher field with values from 1 to 100000 so i've got 100000 records; when a user clicks a button in a PHP page, i need to allocate a record for the user so i make something similar like: update myTable set id_user=XXX where voucher=(SELECT * FROM (SELECT MIN(voucher) FROM myTable WHERE id_user is null) v); The problem is that I don't use locks and i should use them because if two users click in the same moment i risk to assign the same voucher to different persons (2 updates in the same record so i lose 1 user) ...   My idea is to create some generic classes for Insert/Update/Select via a C# (3.5) Winforms app talking with a MySQL database via MySQL .NET Connector 6.2.2. Reading around on SO is starting to give me the indication that this may lead to SQL injection attacks (for any user-input values). Is there anyway of scrubbing the inputted strSQL or do I need to go and create individual parameterized queries in every method that needs to do a database function?

  I have an <fb:requestform> in an iFrame Facebook app. I have set target="_parent", so that the callback will target the parent iFrame and not itself, which seems to work as expected. But, instead of my desired file loading, I get redirected to my server. Checking the response of the requestform's POST in Firebug revealed this: <script type="text/javascript"> top.location.href = "http://www.facebook.com/login.php?api_key=***&v=1.0&req_perms=&next=http%3A%2F%2F***"; </script> I have already had this same problem when sending jQuery AJAX requests to update various elements in an iFrame. I solved the problem by making sure my headers contain P3P: CP="CAO PSA OUR". That is indeed set for this call as well (can be seen clearly in Firebug), but I still get redirected to facebook.com/login.php.

I'm hoping that I can export the ScrewTurn database to xml and then use a utility to put it in a format that Confluence can understand - perhaps the format used by the Universal Wiki Converter. Has anyone used such a utility? Is there anything I should know before I try to write one myself? Update: I've installed the Confluence trial and I took a look at the backup. There's an entities.xml file that looks like the data store. The root tag is <hibernate-generic>, which leads me to believe that they use Hibernate. I'm not familiar with Hibernate, but this should be useful.

• Javamelody with Tomcat and MySql

  I have setup a web application in Tomcat with Javamelody and MySql. I am able to see the JDBC connection details under system info so I know that Javamelody is able to connect to the database. I have executed select/update statements from my application but nothing is ever shown on the monitoring page under statistics sql. I have executed "show full processlist" using the same user as my database connection and it works fine. I can't work out what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

• rsync creating thousands of ..ds_store files from mounted volume

  hello there - been using rsync on os x to sync all our website admins. it was working fine until the os x 10.6.3 update! Now it creates thousands of ZeroK folders. • Updating GUI axes in MATLAB

  HI, I am making a GUI for a program I have created, where I need to be able to change the position of a load along a beam. I have set up the axes and the slider properly, but I am unsure how to get the axes to update, as I can't find any examples that show how to do this on the internet. At present, as I move the load, the position updates properly, but the old position stays on screen as well, which is quite annoying. Can anyone recommend any good examples that show how to do this, or does anyone have a suggestion of how to go about refreshing the axes? Regards, James

• SQL Server Process Queue Race Condition

  I have an order queue that is accessed by multiple order processors through a stored procedure. Each processor passes in a unique ID which is used to lock the next 20 orders for its own use. The stored procedure then returns these records to the order processor to be acted upon. There are cases where multiple processors are able to retrieve the same 'OrderTable' record at which point they try to simultaneously operate on it. This ultimately results in errors being thrown later in the process. My next course of action is to allow each processor grab all available orders and just round robin the processors but I was hoping to simply make this section of code thread safe and allow the processors to grab records whenever they like. So Explicitly - Any idea why I am experiencing this race condition and how I can solve the problem.   I have AdventureWorks database mdf file in my VS 2010 project. Is there anyway I can create Membership tables inside my AdventureWorks database. I know I can detach the database attach in SQL SERVER 2008. Create the tables and then detach. But I don't have SQL SERVER 2008 and I want to see if this can be done using command line tool.
