  I'm inspecting /var/spool/cron/atjobs/a001cf01570e44 with cat, after running the at command from PHP using exec(). What is the purpose of these variables? Where is this procedure stored?

• where is my disk space?

  I recently had a problem with .xsession-errors file - it became very big ( 90GB) and took all disk space: How I can check what takes disk space in /tmp?. I cleaned it with command > .xsession-errors but after an hour it became large again. • Get more space for redis in unix server

  In our app we have only windows servers beside the cases we use redis queues. This case , we use unix server created by amazon. As you can see we do not have a lot of space available and we want to make sure redis has enough space to work without getting stuck. I am little bit new in unix and after reading some data about the unix file system i still was not fully sure how can i give the redis drive (it is in the home directory) more space. I see the mnt that has a lot of space but read it is temporary for cd-rom and network drives. Can you help me figure out how to get more space to my redis ? If it is possible i prefer not to re-install the redis server. But, what about /dev/sda2 and /dev/sda5? When I tried to mount /dev/sda2, it said that I needed to specify the file system, which according to the table, is nonexistent. So, is it safe to format this with, say ext4 and mount it? Also, when I tried to mount /dev/sd5, it gave me this error: mount: unknown filesystem type 'LVM2_member' I assume it is NOT save to reformat this. If I'm wrong, then that would be great, because I could save some space. Please let me know either way. Thanks in advance! • mysqld - master to slave replication using rsync innodb, sequence number issues

  I've read several of the related topics posted here, but I have not been able to avoid this innodb error. The steps I've taken to replicate data from a Slackware server - 5.5.27-log (S) to a FreeBSD slave - 5.5.21-log (F) were these: (S) flush tables with read lock; (S) in another terminal show master status; (S) stop mysqld via command line in third terminal; (F) while both servers are stopped, rsync mysql datadir from (S), excluding master.info, mysql-bin and relay-* files; (F) start mysqld (skip-slave) 121018 12:03:29 InnoDB: Error: page 7 log sequence number 456388912904 InnoDB: is in the future! Current system log sequence number 453905468629. InnoDB: Your database may be corrupt or you may have copied the InnoDB InnoDB: tablespace but not the InnoDB log files. See InnoDB: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/forcing-innodb-recovery.html InnoDB: for more information. This kind of error happens for a lot of tables. I know I can use dump, but the database is large, ca. 70GB and the systems are slow (old), so would like to get this replication to work with data transfer. What should I try to solve this issue?

• MySQL InnoDB/socket issue on Mac OS X 10.6.4

  I have an ongoing issue on my Macbook Pro OS X 10.6.4. Intermittently, my MySQL install will not create a socket on startup. Rebooting sometimes, but not always, solves the problem. Deleting the ib* files in /usr/local/mysql/data and then restarting sometimes, but not always, solves the problem. My error logs tell me the following: Plugin InnoDB init function returned error Plugin InnoDB registration as a STORAGE ENGINE failed Can't start server: Bind on TCP/IP port: Address already in use Do you already have another mysqld server running on port: 3306? Aborting It then appears to attempt to start again and generates this error 20 - 30 times: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error 35 Check that you do not already have another mysqld process using the same InnoDB data or log files Though the socket file is not created, I can connect to my MySQL db directly over localhost. Although, this does not help me from a PHP standpoint. Any thoughts on what I can do to resolve the issue or debug further? I'm at a loss as to where to go from here.

• Fixing bent pins on a CPU

  While replacing a mainboard in a desktop machine (see related question), I did something stupid. I inserted the CPU into the new mainboard, but didn't check for the right position. When it didn't immediately lock in, I pressed slightly before realizing what was wrong. The result was a number of bent pins. I tried every tutorial that popped up when Googling "CPU bent pins" - using credit cards, sewing needles, and a hunting knife to get the pins back into position - but to no avail: For every pin I get straightened out, two others are bent. I have no problem getting individual pins straightened out, but my many attempts have led to many pins being slightly askew - enough for the CPU not to fit into the socket (An AMD X3 one). Maybe I just lack the motoric finesse. What I would need is some sort of a grid to fix all pins at once. It's a €50 processor so the loss is not catastrophic. But I thought before I go buy a new one, I thought I'd check here whether anybody knows some magic trick, or a cheap generally-available tool to fix this.

• Mac OS X: Applications not responding

  This happens to me several times a day. I'll quit an app, the window will close, but the app won't finish shutting down. It stays open in the dock, and right clicking and force quit show not responding. Force quit won't work. I can't shut the app down. Starting any other app when this happens causes that app to behave in exactly the same way: the icon opens in the dock, but the app is non-responsive and can't be forced to quit. Can't access terminal when this happens, because it locks up just like all the apps. While I haven't tried to open every app, I think any app I try to open when this is happening will lock up. If I relaunch Finder, it too locks up and then the only thing left is to hold down the power button for a hard reboot. Any app that is running while this is happening will continue to run normally unless I try to shut it down. Repairing disk permissions has no effect. I also did a time machine and a full restore on a brand new MbP - and sure enough, after restore, the new MbP suffers form the same problem. Creating a new user has no effect. Any thoughts? Please help MacBook Pro 15" AG 2.53ghz i5 cpu 8gb RAM 500gb HD (over 200gb free)

• Can't login to Windows server 2008 (as any user, not even locally, not in safe mode but I have right credentials)

  Just from nowhere I can't login to my Windows server 2008 machine. All the services like FTP server or webserver (which I'm actually not using, just remote desktop and FTP) are running. Whatever credentials I try (even/especialy administrator), it always says Unknown Username or bad password. I have already tried hard turn off/on and safe mode without luck. Also I already tried type in login name as SERVER NAME\user or Workgroup\user (every case sensitive scenario), still says I have wrong login. Usually we are using remote desktop to access the machine but local access over KVM doesn't work either. Now I'm lock out of any control or any way to do something. There's just logon screen preceding by ctrl+alt+del to login alert. Without me able to login I can't actually try to fix anything. Can't find much more on Internet except the SERVER NAME\user thing. Reinstall would be the last resort but I can't let things this way for much longer anyway. This server is vital. If it would be any help, I think automatic Windows updates are turned off and there were no updates or newly installed software for last couple years and just few soft restarts, non of them recently. It happened during it's runtime while all other services were still up and running, so this couldn't be just some Windows nasty screw up during boot or something. What could have possibly changed? What are my options now?

• Using IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) for ASP.NET MVC

  I use a simple ASP.NET MVC web (the template you use when you create a new site) and the web works as expected in my live environment. I now try to use IIS Application Request Routing version 2. I have a rule that send all reuqests to a different server that match a rule. The settings are a bit like this: http://blogs.iis.net/wonyoo/archive/2008/07/09/application-request-routing-arr-as-a-reverse-proxy.aspx My rule is just a bit different it is /shop(.*). Only requests that contain shop are send to a different server. I have to use rewrite, not redirect (The same as in the Picture) This works as long as the web the original requests go to is no ASP.NET MVC web. I tried to use a plain htm file in the webfolder and it worked. If put a compiled ASP.NET application into the webfolder it worked. But as soon as I put an ASP.NET MVC web into the folder, request arr served by this application. My understanding is that the ARR should kick in before the web application gets the chance to handle the request. Did anybody use ARR sucessfully as a reverse proxy for a ASP.NET MVC web? EDIT Here is the resulting web config when the rewrite roule is entered.   Setup: Windows XP .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 ASP .NET MVC Version 1 I've been trying to set up ELMAH by following the instructions at http://code.google.com/p/elmah/wiki/MVC but I just get the following error when press F5: Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately. Parser Error Message: Unrecognized configuration section elmah/errorlog. • IIS: No Session being handed out, but only in production

  I've reproduced this in a simple project - details below. It's a WCF service in ASP.NET compatibility mode. What I'm seeing is that when run on the dev machine (Win7), a HTTP session id is available inside the service operation (HttpContext.Current.Session is non-null). But when deployed to the server (Win2k8R2), I get "No session". On both machines the app is configured to use the classic app pool, and the app pools themselves are configured identically as far as I can tell.   I am getting the above error in IIS 6.0 now when I browse my C# / SQL web application. This was built in VS 2008 and SS 2008 on a 32-bit XP OS. The application was working before I added Login controls to it. However, this is my first time configuring Login/password controls so I am probably missing something really basic. The Network Service account has SELECT, EXECUTE, INSERT, UPDATE access to this database. But one problem I see is that all of the tables in this database are empty except for aspnet_SchemaVersions, which just has 2 records (common and membership). Is this right? I added users and roles via ASP.NET Configuration wizard, and I believe I set this up correctly since I followed the Microsoft tutorial at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms998347.aspx. • Images missing after moving Django to new server

  I'm moving Django project to new server. I'm newbie in Django, and I don't know where should be upload folder. There are all images which should be displayed on website. In config file I haven't seen upload folder I could specify, so I'm guessing it always should be the same location for django projects or I just can't find it. Locations are saved in database. When I've put uploaded files into media folder, so url was like domain.co.uk/media/upload/media/images/year/month/day/image_name.ext and the same is on the old website, images on website ware still missing. All images are visible if I put url by hand, but django doesn't seems to see files. This may be due to absent or incorrectly specified EndpointIdentity in the EndpointAddress used to create the channel. Please verify the EndpointIdentity specified or implied by the EndpointAddress correctly identifies the remote endpoint. For one, when I add 0 to a queue and then I output the queue like so.. Queue<double> qdub; qdub.enqueue(0); cout << qdub << endl; That works, it will output 0. But for example, if I modify that queue in any way.. like.. assign it to a different queue.. Queue<double> qdub1; Queue<double> qdub2; qdub1.enqueue(0; qdub2 = qdub1; cout << qdub2 << endl; It will give me weird values for 0 like.. 7.86914e-316. Help on this would be much appreciated!

• c# Unable to open file for reading

  I'm writing a program that uses FileSystemWatcher to monitor changes to a given directory, and when it recieves OnCreated or OnChanged event, it copies those created/changed files to a specified directorie(s). At first I had problems with the fact that OnChanged/OnCreated events can be sent twice (not acceptable in case it needed to process 500MB file) but I made a way around this and with what I'm REALLY STUCKED with is getting the following IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Where are Photos\bookmarks (11).html' because it is being used by another process. Thus, preventing the program from copying all the files it should. So as I mentioned, when user uses this program he/she specifes monitored directory, when user copies/creates/changes file in that directory, program should get OnCreated/OnChanged event and then copy that file to few other directories. Above error happens in all casess, if user copies few files that needs to owerwrite other ones in folder being monitored or when copying bulk of several files or even sometimes when copying one file in a monitored directory. Whole program is quite big so I'm sending the most important parts. I simply have no clue who's locking the file if not my program "copy" process from user through Windows or something else. Right now I have two possible "solutions" (I can't say they are clean solutions since they are hacks and as such not desireable). Since probably the problem is with fileType method (what else could lock the file?) The other "solution" I could try (I didn't test it yet) is using GC.Collect() somewhere at the end of fileType() method. Maybe even worse "solution" than previous one. Can someone pleas tell me, what on earth is locking the file, preventing it from opening and how can I fix that? What am I missing to see? Thanks in advance.

  I need to frame a page being served by SharePoint 2010's xlsviewer.aspx but this page is setting the HTTP response header X-FRAME-OPTION to SAMEORIGIN, so IE8 refuses to render the page in a frame on another domain, which is what I need. It appears that no other pages being served by this SharePoint instance set X-FRAME-OPTIONS, only _layouts/xlsviewer.aspx Where can I change the HTTP headers or framing options for SharePoint or this specific page? Relevant headers: GET //_layouts/xlviewer.aspx?id=whatever.xlsx&DefaultItemOpen=1 is returning: HTTP/1.1 200 OK . . . • DB2 insert performance - How to measure

  [From stackoverflow] Im trying to find a way to speedup my inserts to a DB2 9.7.1 (ubuntu linux) Im watching vmstat and trying to gather some statistics via the db2 get snapshot commands but im not able to figure out which numbers im looking for to be able to see where the trouble is. I've read lits of stuff like http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/35692526/question-multiple-row-in.aspx, and http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/tips/dm-0403wilkins/ and tricks like ALTER TABLE lalala APPEND ON works somewhat (the difference between a dd if=/dev/zero and insert is still a factor 10) but I would like to be able to find the counters or other performance indicators that actually show why it makes sense to use those tricks. For example: What is the metric called that shows me that it is buffer pages allocation (FSCR stuff) that is the problem Where do I see that the insert time is hampered by clustered indexes? I find db2top very useful but im still searching for more direct view of "this is your bottleneck" methods

  Some files (e.g. nfs, nfslock, bind) in my /etc/rc.d/init.d/ directory have in their comment header a line such as: # probe: true I found that those particular scripts has the probe verb i.e.: service nfs probe But this is due to the fact that the mentioned scripts has code that deals with the probe verb. I find no mention of the # probe: true notation in chkconfig man page, nor in any related man pages. Googleing for it also didn't help. Is there a real significance for that line, or is it pure documentation?

• How to install and use Tally ERP 9 in Wine

  I am trying to run Tally ERP 9 (http://www.tallysolutions.com/), post-installation in wine 1.7. I am getting an "out of memory" error, the moment it starts(at the tally splash screen). I then have no option other than to close it. OS: Xubuntu 12.04.3 Wine: 1.6\1.7.9 How have I installed: Inserted the Tally Installation CD, clicked on the tally installer executable. Installed by following the setup. Configured for multi-user, client configuration. Server is at a specified LAN address running on Windows. Then once installation is done. Clicked on the executable/ran from command line for tally.exe Please guide.
