  • Safari extension - Too many injected scripts responding to message

    Hi, I am trying to code a safari extension similar to Bubble Translate for Chrome. when you click a button on the toolbar, it automatically translates the text currently selected to the language of your choice using the Google language API. I use the following injected script to get the highlighted text and display the result (as an alert for the time being): http://pastebin.com/bYVuQAmp I use the following global script to call the injected script if neccessary: hxxp://pastebin.com/VHaAKM5a The problem I have is the following: The script does not just get injected into the main page but also into ads and similar stuff that is embedded into the page. Due to that, the selected text gets translated multiple times because all the embedded scripts in one page respond to the message. How can I make sure that the script is injected only into the right page or only the right page responds? Thank you, Philipp

    I have a LINQ query that searches for multiple keywords on multiple columns. The intention is that the user can search for multiple keywords and it will search for the keywords on every property in my Media entity. Here is a simplified example: var result = repository.GetAll<Media>().Where(x => x.Title.Contains("Apples") || x.Description.Contains("Apples") || x.Tags.Contains("Apples") || x.Title.Contains("Oranges") || x.Description.Contains("Oranges") || x.Tags.Contains("Oranges") || x.Title.Contains("Pears") || x.Description.Contains("Pears") || x.Tags.Contains("Pears") ); In other words, I want to search for the keywords Apples, Oranges, and Pears on the columns Title, Description, and Tags. The outputted SQL looks like this: SELECT * FROM Media this_ WHERE (((((((( this_.Title like '%Apples%' or this_.Description like '%Apples%') or this_.Tags like '%Apples%') or this_.Title like '%Oranges%') or this_.Description like '%Oranges%') or this_.Tags like '%Oranges%') or this_.Title like '%Pears%') or this_.Description like '%Pears%') or this_.Tags like '%Pears%') Is this the most optimal SQL in this case? If not, how do I rewrite the LINQ query to create the most optimal SQL statement? I'm using SQLite for testing and SQL Server for actual deployment.

  • Telerik RadEditor working issue under VS2008

    I've a SharePoint portal for tracking questions in a list. When I open an list item in IE8 Telerik Editor works fine. But if I open this page inside VS2008 in browser mode this control starts to do unexpected actions. It's the Telerik RadEditor for Sharepoint v. 5.3.2.0. Is it a bug of VS2008 or a bug of Telerik RadEditor? Steps to reproduce: Install Telerik RadEditor in SharePoint portal Create a List with Rich editing field and create a new item Paste or type a text into Rich editing field and save changes Open VS2008 Click on any link in start page to open browser window Open created list item in VS in editing mode Mark a part of text in Rich editing field Marked text disappears. Undo button of control shows some paste actions

  • Are there any radix/patricia/critbit trees for Python?

    I have about 10,000 words used as a set of inverted indices to about 500,000 documents. Both are normalized so the index is a mapping of integers (word id) to a set of integers (ids of documents which contain the word). My prototype uses Python's set as the obvious data type. When I do a search for a document I find the list of N search words and their corresponding N sets. I want to return the set of documents in the intersection of those N sets. Python's "intersect" method is implemented as a pairwise reduction. I think I can do better with a parallel search of sorted sets, so long as the library offers a fast way to get the next entry after i. I've been looking for something like that for some time. Years ago I wrote PyJudy but I no longer maintain it and I know how much work it would take to get it to a stage where I'm comfortable with it again. I would rather use someone else's well-tested code, and I would like one which supports fast serialization/deserialization. I can't find any, or at least not any with Python bindings. There is avltree which does what I want, but since even the pair-wise set merge take longer than I want, I suspect I want to have all my operations done in C/C++. Do you know of any radix/patricia/critbit tree libraries written as C/C++ extensions for Python? Failing that, what is the most appropriate library which I should wrap? The Judy Array site hasn't been updated in 6 years, with 1.0.5 released in May 2007. (Although it does build cleanly so perhaps It Just Works.)

  • How can I export PDF from InDesign so that transparency renders properly on all platforms?

    Gradients, including drop shadows, all show up as solid blocks when I view my document on an Android phone. I tried different PDF compression and compatibility settings in an attempt to flatten and rasterize all the graphics, but it's clearly not working, as the Android viewer still identifies the outlines of transparent shapes instead of the blended pixels. Is there any way to truly flatten these PDF graphics, so that it doesn't matter whether a PDF viewer supports transparency, while keeping the text as text?

  • UIView Controller mysteriously getting deallocated

    I have a UINavigation scheme with a "welcome" page, a middle page, and a detail page. In the middle page, there's a segmented controller that can swap the main body of that page between a table, a calendar, and a MKMapView, each implemented with their own view controller classes. Today I implemented the MapView and its annotations and all of that. It's nice. And a detail disclosure on each callout takes you to the detail page just the same way as if you'd gotten there via the table. Lovely. I also have a right-button-bar button that pushes in a "search" view. From there you can search the data I'm navigating. When it's done filtering the data (an array of objects I'm keeping in a data singleton), it makes the table reload its data, and calls my annotation-clearer-and-builder methods on the map view, and then pops itself out, so the "middle" page (including whatever view was in the guts of it) is back on the screen. Problem is, if I go back and forth between the map and the search a couple times, any mention of the table view causes us to crash with: *** -[CALayer retain]: message sent to deallocated instance 0x710b810. (I obviously have NSZombies turned on.) I put an NSLog in the dealloc method of my table view controller. That thing's never getting called. I don't know if we're ditching it behind the scenes for memory purposes, or if I'm leaking it and can't get my hands back on it, or what. I'm sort of at a loss about where to look. Any hints?

    The scenario involves imitating a drop down list. Instead of the standard input select element, we're using a set of custom images in combination with a few CSS styles and jQuery behaviors. All in all, we have a drop down list that works just fine. The question revolves around a drop down list losing focus. A normal select element losing focus would automatically close the list, however, since we are using a set of divs, it's not possibly to set or lose focus(and subsequently hide the list). We've been able to imitate normal drop down behavior by hiding a text input behind the div and setting the focus to it dynamically. For example: User clicks drop down list - content list is displayed and hidden text input is set as focus. Event is bound to the text input losing focus which hides the content list. I'm curious if the community has a better approach to hiding a div when a user clicks off, presses escape, etc.

When button1 is clicked, I want to retrieve the DOM elements that compose the selected text in the page and give an id to one of those elements and save add these ids to a list (in C# space). So far, everything I have found about multiple languages seems to assume that you want the user interface (menus, etc) and document text in the same language, and that you only want that one language.     I have a slight problem when searching with SOLR 4.0 and attempting a phrase query. I have a field called "idx_text_general_ci" which is a case insensitive (all lowercased) field made up of all fields. When I try and search for a phrase (marine fitter) my SOLR refuses to search for the phrase instead splitting the phrase into 2 words - /select?defType=edismax&q=idx_text_general_ci:marine%20fitter&debugQuery=true debugQuery=true output below: <lst name="debug"> <str name="rawquerystring">idx_text_general_ci:marine fitter</str> <str name="querystring">idx_text_general_ci:marine fitter</str> <str name="parsedquery"> (+(idx_text_general_ci:marine DisjunctionMaxQuery((id:fitter))))/no_coord </str> <str name="parsedquery_toString">+(idx_text_general_ci:marine (id:fitter))</str> As you can see above it splits the query into 2 parts (idx_text_general_ci:marine then id:fitter). THe problem I have is that I have an exact match for "marine fitter" that appears twice in the idx_text_general_ci field yet it's ranked with a lesser score than a document with the word "marine" appearing 3 times. I know this will not be the case if my SOLR was to search the field with the phrase as expected. If I wrap the phrase in quotes I get zero results. Any help or a nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance Alex

    Using MVC3 and Ajax.BeginForm I surprisingly discovered that mvc ajax forms submits elements with the attribute disabled="disabled". I have tested both select and text inputs. I was suprised because they should not be submited and they will not when using Html.BeginForm. Is there some hidden option or a workaround for this?   • C#: Windows Forms: Getting keystrokes in a panel/picturebox?

    I'm making a level editor for a game using windows forms. The form has several drop down menus, text boxes, etc, where the user can type information. I want to make commands like CTRL + V or CTRL + A available for working within the game world itself, not text manipulation. The game world is represented by a PictureBox contained in a Panel. This event handler isn't ever firing: private System.Windows.Forms.Panel canvas; // ... this.canvas = new System.Windows.Forms.Panel(); // ... this.canvas.PreviewKeyDown += new System.Windows.Forms.PreviewKeyDownEventHandler(this.canvas_PreviewKeyDown); What is the preferred way of doing this? Can a panel even receive keyboard input? I would like to allow the user to use copy/paste/select-all commands when working with the text input, but not when placing objects in the game world.

    I have installed searchlogic and added will_paginate etc. I currently have a product model that has tagging enabled using the acts_as_taggable_on plugin. I want to search the tags using searchlogic. Here is the taggable plugin page: http://github.com/mbleigh/acts-as-taggable-on Each product has a "tag_list" that i can access using Product.tag_list or i can access a specific tag using Product.tags[0] I can't find the scope to use for searching however with search logic. I am wondering how I can get this working or how to create my own named_scope that would allow me to search the tags added to each product by the taggable plugin. Thanks!

I know the event is firing because this works: $("a[rel]").overlay({ onLoad: function() { alert('popup opened') } }); However, when this alert fires the overlay has not yet appeared on the screen so I wonder if that is part of the problem?     I have a project that generates text (representing an interface and a class) based on metadata. I would like to take this generated code and insert it as a new class and interface directly into the currently opened solution under a specific project and directory. I will create the menu tool that will generate the class but what I don't know how to do is gain access to the following items from within my custom Visual Studio Extension: Iterate the current solution and find a project to dump the generated code into. Open a new file window within Visual Studio and inject the generated text that comes from my tool directly into that window. Create a new folder in a specific project within the current solution from within my custom extension. EDIT - To clarify I need to open a new file (e.g. Right Click on a Project - Add - New Class) and insert text into it from within my custom Visual Studio Extension. Thanks
