• Detecting rotation to landscape manually

  hi all, I am working on an iPhone application based on UITabBarController and UIViewControllers for each page. The app needs to run in portrait mode only, so every view controller + app delegate goes with this line of code: (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation: (UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait); } There is one view controller where I would like to pop up a UIImageView when the iPhone is rotaed to landscapeleft. The design of the image looks landscape, although the width and height are 320x460 ( so its portrait ). How can/should I detect this type of rotation manually, just in this specific view controller, withouth having an auto rotation on the entire view? Thomas UPDATE: Thanks! While inspecting the link, it displays the following: onclick="jQuery('#bulk_action').val('bulk_add_to_categories'); jQuery('#bulk_form').submit(); return false;" But when I click on it I get this error. I need to do something like this I need to have an separate UI for all the products that have came from that bulk action, and then put them into the selected categories, but I am not able to do that. Can anyone help me on this? Any help would be great. I have seen lot of tutorial and read the rails admin github page but I was not able to find anything helpful. Please guide me.

  Hi ... The Environment: I am working for a college. We have a couple of labs (about 100 PCs) for students. At the end of the semester, the PCs will be full of viruses, corrupt system files, all sorts of illegal downloads etc. (everything you can expect from a student environment). At the end of the semester, we would like to wipe out all the systems and do a clean install (WindowsXP + a set of application suites) to get ready for the next batch of students. Question: Is there any free software that will enable an admin to deploy a clean disk image to all the PCs in one go?

I downloaded the exe (with all the dlls) on my local machine (dont have to install) export.exe sourcefile.doc destinationfile.gif this syntax works from my local dos prompt. How do I use the same syntax "export.exe exampledoc.doc exampledoc.gif" when an item is added to sharepoint doc library. and Do I need to put the folder (where the exe and dlls are for this) in the sharepoint frontend server so it's accessible? If yes, where should this folder reside? Does the folder and files need sharepoint service account access? • Shared library linking and loading in BusyBox 0.61

  Does anybody know how the dynamic linking and shared library loading works in BusyBox 0.61 ? I can't seem to find how this is done. There's no 'ld' present on the embedded system I'm dealing with, nor is there an LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable set anywhere. My motivation for this is to be able to create a symlink in the /lib directory to another directory on a different device (with considerably more storage space) for adding in more shared libraries, as the file system that contains /lib is a ramdisk that gets reloaded on startup and is within a few kb of being completely full (so we can't add more libraries to the image, nor can we obtain devices with more memory for the ramdisk)

• Pagination links broken - php/jquery

  Hey, I'm still trying to get my pagination links to load properly dynamically. But I can't seem to find a solution to this one problem. vote down star Hi everyone, I am still trying to figure out how to fix my pagination script to work properly. the problem I am having is when I click any of the pagination number links to go the next page, the new content does not load. literally nothing happens and when looking at the console in Firebug, nothing is sent or loaded. I have on the main page 3 links to filter the content and display it. When any of these links are clicked the results are loaded and displayed along with the associated pagination numbers for that specific content. I believe the problem is coming from the sql query in generate_pagination.php (seen below). When I hard code the sql category part it works, but is not dynamic at all. This is why I'm calling $ids=$_GET['ids']; and trying to put that into the category section but then the numbers don't display at all. • How can i open Thickbox from a form and feed it with data ?

  I have a simple search php script, within that script there is some html and javascript to make a search input field and a button. What i am trying to do is when someone enters a search, and presses submit, thickbox opens, and the results will be displayed in the thickbox. What i have so far is the search field and button, when i press submit, it briefly shows the thickbox, and than is overloaded by the result page, but than with no search results. • Zend Framework - tinyMCE - plugin folders are mistaken to be controllers? Help

  Hi guys I'm trying to integrate the tinymce plugin however I'm running into problems such that almost every feature which requires a plugin to be rendered i.e the add url popup or add image pop up - it opens an empty pop up window. Even if I try to open it inline I get the same blank popup window.. I noticed that whenever I click on lets say url button in tinymCE it opens with reference to my localhost and because of that I'm assuming my application is mistaking the containing javascript folder to be some controller or action. How can I fix this please - I've set up mod rewrite to allow clean urls as well as ignore the javascript folder but this is a different issue altogether :( what should I be looking at here.. I can't notice any error sin firebug..

  Assume I have an "images" folder directory under the root of my application. How can I, from within a .css file, reference an image in this directory using an ASP.NET app relative path. Example: When in development, the path of ~/Images/Test.gif might resolve to /MyApp/Images/Test.gif while, in production, it might resolve to /Images/Test.gif (depending on the virtual directory for the application). I, obviously, want to avoid having to modify the .css file between environments. I know you can use Page.ResolveClientUrl to inject a url into a control's Style collection dynamically at render time. I would like to avoid doing this.

  Hello, I was wondering if there is a library for editing program flow. I refer to conditions if, loops (do, while, for) and other elements that can exist inside a program. What I would like to have is some sort of a CAD application (similar to an UML editor) from where I can take some elements and edit their properties, make connections between them. • Relying on nhibernate's second level cache vs pushing objects into the session

  I have some big entities which are frequently accessed in the same session. For example, in my application there is a reporting page which consist of dynamically generated chart images. For each chart image on this page, the client makes requests to corresponding controller and the controller generates images using some entities. I can either use asp.net's session dictionary for "caching" those entities or rely on nhibernate's second level cache support with using cached queries for example. What is your opinion? By the way I will use shared hosting, is nhibernate's second level cache hosting friendly? Thanks.

  I'm making a simple iframe-based facebook app. I have the following code to size my iframe: FB_RequireFeatures(["Connect"], function(){ FB.XdComm.Server.init('/xd_receiver.htm'); FB.CanvasClient.startTimerToSizeToContent(); FB.CanvasClient.syncUrl(); }); I want to add a link that will display a popup which will allow the user to post an app-defined image/link to the user's wall. To get things working initially, I tried just using the following code on a click event: FB.Connect.streamPublish(''); However, nothing happens. I've tried adding: FB.init(<?=API_KEY?>, '/xd_receiver.htm'); both inside the FB_RequireFeatures function, before it, after it... no luck. Nothing happens. No errors are thrown. Nothing. Any ideas?

  Hello All, My Application is crashing due to low memory [ Received memory warning level 1 + 2] To trace this I have used Instrument and come with following points Test Enviorment : Single view controller added on Window When I don't use UIImageView Real Memory is used 3.66 MB When I uses UIImageView with Image having size 25 KB : Real Memory is used 4.24 MB. almost 560 KB extra when compare to w/o UIImageView and which keep on adding as I am adding more UIImageview on the view. below is sample code for adding UIImageview which I am refering UIImageView* iSplashImage = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"Default-Landscape.png"]]; iSplashImage.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480); [self.window addSubview:iSplashImage]; AND dealloc if(iSplashImage) { [iSplashImage release]; iSplashImage = nil; } Issue is this 560 KB is not getting release and after some time application receives low memory warning.   Each time we add a new layer to our OpenLayers based website (data provided primarily by a GeoServer server), we discuss whether to use a single-tile or a tiled approach. Some of the parameters we evaluate are the following: Using the tiled approach we get: Slow but continuous buildup of the viewport Lots of small images Client side caching possibilities Blocking of the loading pipeline (6 requests at a time) Jerky feeling when navigating during load Using the single-tile approach we get: Smoother feeling when navigating during load Time delay before layer is loaded One large image for each layer No caching of the single tile We have a lot of data editing in the layers, thus a tile-cache might not be that efficient. Are there any best-practices when it comes to tiling? Progressing towards infinitely fast hardware and unlimited data connections, the discussion becomes irrelevant, but what configuration do you percieve as the most user-pleasing?

• Flex/Actionscript: Unable to add archive file

  I have an Flex 4 application that I am developing in Flash Builder 4. I'm trying to use a library developed by a coworker, which was delivered as an SWC. I added the library to the Library Path in the project properties. Component set: MX + Spark, Framework linkage: Merged into code. When I attempt to instantiate a component from this library, I get the following error: unable to add archive file: [library].swc$locale\en_US\..\..\resources\images\AcceptButton.png (The system cannot find the path specified) When I unzip [library].swc, the image does exist in .\resources\images\AcceptButton.png as I would expect. Any suggestions to go about resolving this would be much appreciated.

• Google search result redirecting to tinyurl4.info

  When you google for these keywords: crtaci.info First result is my site, www.crtaci.info. Now, i have no idea what is happening, but when you click on that search result sometimes it redirects you to tinyurl4.info: I know in this image user is using IE, but both me on win7 and firefox and IE8 and my buddy on linux(and some browsers i have never heard of) both tested this and we got redirected to this site. But only once. Now when i do that again, it opens up my site. What the hell is going on? Please advise what to do! :( Maybe i should open this on serverfoult, i dont know... :( UPDATE: This only seems to be happening when you do this for the first time in your browser. Next time you do it it is ok. I have opened up chrome, which i only use for testing and did these steps: open google.com search for crtaci.info click on first result i get redirected open google.com again search for crtaci.info again it works fine now
