  • CakeDC Users Plugin - I Can't Send Emails

    - by JimBadger
    I apologise for the rambling nature of this question, please bear with me and I'll provide all the extra info needed for you to stop me going mad from failing at something that looks inherently very straightforward... I've just installed CakePHP 2.2, and the first thing I've done is add the cakeDC Users plugin. It's all working, apart from sending an email verification when a user registers. I've tried so many combinations of different things in email.php, that I have now utterly got my knickers in a twist. Whatever I do, when the verification email should be sent, all I get is: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. My email.php currently looks like this: class EmailConfig { public $default = array( 'transport' => 'Smtp', 'from' => '[email protected]', //'charset' => 'utf-8', //'headerCharset' => 'utf-8', ); public $smtp = array( 'transport' => 'Smtp', 'from' => array('Blah <[email protected]>' => 'Chimp'), 'host' => 'ssl://smtp.gmail.com', 'port' => 465, 'timeout' => 30, 'username' => '[email protected]', 'password' => 'secret', 'client' => null, 'log' => false, //'charset' => 'utf-8', //'headerCharset' => 'utf-8', ); public $fast = array( 'from' => '[email protected]', 'sender' => null, 'to' => null, 'cc' => null, 'bcc' => null, 'replyTo' => null, 'readReceipt' => null, 'returnPath' => null, 'messageId' => true, 'subject' => null, 'message' => null, 'headers' => null, 'viewRender' => null, 'template' => false, 'layout' => false, 'viewVars' => null, 'attachments' => null, 'emailFormat' => null, 'transport' => 'Smtp', 'host' => 'blah.net', 'port' => 25, 'timeout' => 30, 'username' => 'user', 'password' => 'secret', 'client' => null, 'log' => true, //'charset' => 'utf-8', //'headerCharset' => 'utf-8', ); } How do I get cakeDC Users plugin to just send a non-SMTP email? Or do I have to use, for example, my Gmail details? But, if I do have to go down the SMTP route, what is wrong with the above? Other info: I'm using the latest version of XAMPP and my PHP install is ssl enabled.

  • HttpWebRequest response produces HTTP 422. Why?

    - by Simon
    Hi there. I'm trying to programmatically send a POST-request to a web-server in order to login an then perform other requests that require a login. This is my code: Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes( String.Format( "login={0}&password={1}&authenticity_token={2}", username, password, token)); //Create HTTP-request for login HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create("http://www.xxx.xx/xx/xx"); request.Method = "POST"; request.ContentType = "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"; request.ContentLength = data.Length; request.CookieContainer = new CookieContainer(); request.Accept = "application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html; +"q=0.9,text/plain ;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5"; request.Referer = "http://www.garzantilinguistica.it/it/session"; request.Headers.Add("Accept-Language", "de-DE"); request.Headers.Add("Origin", "http://www.xxx.xx"); request.UserAgent = "C#"; request.Headers.Add("Accept-Encoding", "gzip, deflate"); After sending the request //Send post request var requestStream = request.GetRequestStream(); requestStream.Write(data, 0, data.Length); requestStream.Flush(); requestStream.Close(); ... I want to get the servers response: //Get Response StreamReader responseStreamReader = new StreamReader( request.GetResponse().GetResponseStream()); //WebException: HTTP 422! string content = responseStreamReader.ReadToEnd(); This piece of code fires the WebException, that tells me the server responded with HTTP 422 (unprocessable entity due to semantic errors) Then I compared (using a TCP/IP sniffers) the requests of my program and the browser (which of course produces a valid POST-request and gets the right response). (1) My program's request: POST /it/session HTTP/1.1 Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain; q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Referer: http://www.garzantilinguistica.it/it/session Accept-Language: de-DE Origin: http://www.garzantilinguistica.it User-Agent: C# Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate Host: www.garzantilinguistica.it Content-Length: 111 Expect: 100-continue Connection: Keep-Alive HTTP/1.1 100 Continue [email protected]&password=machivui&authenticity_token=4vLgtwP3nFNg4NeuG4MbUnU7sy4z91Wi8WJXH0POFmg= HTTP/1.1 422 Unprocessable Entity (2) The browser's request: POST /it/session HTTP/1.1 Host: www.garzantilinguistica.it Referer: http://www.garzantilinguistica.it/it/session Accept: application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9, text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5 Accept-Language: de-DE Origin: http://www.garzantilinguistica.it User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; de-DE) AppleWebKit/531.22.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Safari/531.22.7 Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded Cookie: __utma=244184339.652523587.1275208707.1275208707.1275211298.2; __utmb=244184339.20.10.1275211298; __utmc=244184339; __utmz=244184339.1275208707.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none); _garzanti2009_session=BAh7CDoPc2Vzc2lvbl9pZCIlZDg4MWZjNjg2YTRhZWE0NDQ0ZTJmMTU2YWY4ZTQ1NGU6EF9jc3JmX3Rva2VuIjFqRWdLdll3dTYwOTVVTEpNZkt6dG9jUCtaZ0o4V0FnV2V5ZnpuREx6QUlZPSIKZmxhc2hJQzonQWN0aW9uQ29udHJvbGxlcjo6Rmxhc2g6OkZsYXNoSGFzaHsGOgplcnJvciIVbG9naW4gbm9uIHZhbGlkbwY6CkB1c2VkewY7CFQ%3D--4200fa769898dd156faa49e457baf660cf068d08 Content-Length: 144 Connection: keep-alive authenticity_token=jEgKvYwu6095ULJMfKztocP%2BZgJ8WAgWeyfznDLzAIY%3D&login=thespider14%40hotmail.com&password=machivui&remember_me=1&commit=Entra HTTP/1.1 302 Found Can someone help to understand which part of the request I am missing or what the main difference between the browser's and my request is? Why am I getting that 422?

  • WCF Service error on IIS with metadata

    - by Bruno Silva
    Hi, I'm trying to publish a service to IIS, it builds and runs OK on the ASP.NET dev server. When running in IIS I can get to the metadata by navigating to the service or by adding service reference in Visual Studio. But when I call a method from my client app it crashes with a internal server error. So I went to the Event Log and found this: WebHost failed to process a request. Sender Information: System.ServiceModel.Activation.HostedHttpRequestAsyncResult/8810861 Exception: System.Web.HttpException (0x80004005): There was no channel actively listening at 'http://mysite.net/soundhubservice.svc/$metadata'. • WCF using windows service

    - by Lijo
    Hi, I am creating a WCF service which is to be hosted in Windows Service. I created a console application as follows I went to management console (services.msc) and started the service. But I got the following error "The LijosWindowsService service on Local Computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and Alerts service" I went to the event viewer and got the following "Service cannot be started. System.InvalidOperationException: Service 'Lijo.Samples.WeatherService' has zero application (non-infrastructure) endpoints. This might be because no configuration file was found for your application, or because no service element matching the service name could be found in the configuration file, or because no endpoints were defined in the service element." Could you please let me know what is the missing link here? File name [LijosService.cs] using System.ComponentModel; using System.ServiceModel; using System.ServiceProcess; using System.Configuration; using System.Configuration.Install; namespace Lijo.Samples { [ServiceContract(Namespace = "http://Lijo.Samples")] public interface IWeather { [OperationContract] double Add(double n1, double n2); } public class WeatherService : IWeather { public double Add(double n1, double n2) { double result = n1 + n2; return result; } } public class MyWindowsService : ServiceBase { public ServiceHost serviceHost = null; public MyWindowsService() { // Windows Service name ServiceName = "LijosWindowsService"; } public static void Main() { ServiceBase.Run(new MyWindowsService()); } protected override void OnStart(string[] args) { if (serviceHost != null) { serviceHost.Close(); } serviceHost = new ServiceHost(typeof(WeatherService)); serviceHost.Open(); } protected override void OnStop() { if (serviceHost != null) { serviceHost.Close(); serviceHost = null; } } } // ProjectInstaller [RunInstaller(true)] public class ProjectInstaller : Installer { private ServiceProcessInstaller myProcess; private ServiceInstaller myService; public ProjectInstaller() { myProcess = new ServiceProcessInstaller(); myProcess.Account = ServiceAccount.LocalSystem; myService = new ServiceInstaller(); myService.ServiceName = "LijosWindowsService"; Installers.Add(myProcess); Installers.Add(myService); } } } App.config <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <configuration> <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="Lijo.Samples.WeatherService" behaviorConfiguration="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <host> <baseAddresses> <add baseAddress="http://localhost:8000/ServiceModelSamples/LijosService"/> </baseAddresses> </host> <endpoint address="" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="Lijo.Samples.IWeather" /> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" /> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WeatherServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="False"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> </configuration> Thanks Lijo

  • Mysql 100% CPU + Slow query

    - by felipeclopes
    I'm using the RDS database from amazon with a some very big tables, and yesterday I started to face 100% CPU utilisation on the server and a bunch of slow query logs that were not happening before. I tried to check the queries that were running and faced this result from the explain command +----+-------------+-------------------------------+--------+----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+---------+-----------------------------------------------------------------+------+----------------------------------------------+ | id | select_type | table | type | possible_keys | key | key_len | ref | rows | Extra | +----+-------------+-------------------------------+--------+----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+---------+-----------------------------------------------------------------+------+----------------------------------------------+ | 1 | SIMPLE | businesses | const | PRIMARY | PRIMARY | 4 | const | 1 | Using index; Using temporary; Using filesort | | 1 | SIMPLE | activities_businesses | ref | PRIMARY,index_activities_users_on_business_id,index_tweets_users_on_tweet_id_and_business_id | index_activities_users_on_business_id | 9 | const | 2252 | Using index condition; Using where | | 1 | SIMPLE | activities_b_taggings_975e9c4 | ref | taggings_idx | taggings_idx | 782 | const,myapp_production.activities_businesses.id,const | 1 | Using index condition; Using where | | 1 | SIMPLE | activities | eq_ref | PRIMARY,index_activities_on_created_at | PRIMARY | 8 | myapp_production.activities_businesses.activity_id | 1 | Using where | +----+-------------+-------------------------------+--------+----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+---------+-----------------------------------------------------------------+------+----------------------------------------------+ Also checkin in the process list, I got something like this: +----+-----------------+-------------------------------------+----------------------------+---------+------+--------------+------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Id | User | Host | db | Command | Time | State | Info | +----+-----------------+-------------------------------------+----------------------------+---------+------+--------------+------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 1 | my_app | my_ip:57152 | my_app_production | Sleep | 0 | | NULL | | 2 | my_app | my_ip:57153 | my_app_production | Sleep | 2 | | NULL | | 3 | rdsadmin | localhost:49441 | NULL | Sleep | 9 | | NULL | | 6 | my_app | my_other_ip:47802 | my_app_production | Sleep | 242 | | NULL | | 7 | my_app | my_other_ip:47807 | my_app_production | Query | 231 | Sending data | SELECT my_fields... | | 8 | my_app | my_other_ip:47809 | my_app_production | Query | 231 | Sending data | SELECT my_fields... | | 9 | my_app | my_other_ip:47810 | my_app_production | Query | 231 | Sending data | SELECT my_fields... | | 10 | my_app | my_other_ip:47811 | my_app_production | Query | 231 | Sending data | SELECT my_fields... | | 11 | my_app | my_other_ip:47813 | my_app_production | Query | 231 | Sending data | SELECT my_fields... | ... So based on the numbers, it looks like there is no reason to have a slow query, since the worst execution plan is the one that goes through 2k rows which is not much. Edit 1 Another information that might be useful is the slow query_log SET timestamp=1401457485; SELECT my_query... # User@Host: myapp[myapp] @ ip-10-195-55-233.ec2.internal [IP] Id: 435 # Query_time: 95.830497 Lock_time: 0.000178 Rows_sent: 0 Rows_examined: 1129387 Edit 2 After profiling, I got this result. The result have approximately 250 rows with two columns each. +----------------------+----------+ | state | duration | +----------------------+----------+ | Sending data | 272 | | removing tmp table | 0 | | optimizing | 0 | | Creating sort index | 0 | | init | 0 | | cleaning up | 0 | | executing | 0 | | checking permissions | 0 | | freeing items | 0 | | Creating tmp table | 0 | | query end | 0 | | statistics | 0 | | end | 0 | | System lock | 0 | | Opening tables | 0 | | logging slow query | 0 | | Sorting result | 0 | | starting | 0 | | closing tables | 0 | | preparing | 0 | +----------------------+----------+ Edit 3 Adding query as requested SELECT activities.share_count, activities.created_at FROM `activities_businesses` INNER JOIN `businesses` ON `businesses`.`id` = `activities_businesses`.`business_id` INNER JOIN `activities` ON `activities`.`id` = `activities_businesses`.`activity_id` JOIN taggings activities_b_taggings_975e9c4 ON activities_b_taggings_975e9c4.taggable_id = activities_businesses.id AND activities_b_taggings_975e9c4.taggable_type = 'ActivitiesBusiness' AND activities_b_taggings_975e9c4.tag_id = 104 AND activities_b_taggings_975e9c4.created_at >= '2014-04-30 13:36:44' WHERE ( businesses.id = 1 ) AND ( activities.created_at > '2014-04-30 13:36:44' ) AND ( activities.created_at < '2014-05-30 12:27:03' ) ORDER BY activities.created_at; Edit 4 There may be a chance that the indexes are not being applied due to difference in column type between the taggings and the activities_businesses, on the taggable_id column. mysql> SHOW COLUMNS FROM activities_businesses; +-------------+------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra | +-------------+------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | id | int(11) | NO | PRI | NULL | auto_increment | | activity_id | bigint(20) | YES | MUL | NULL | | | business_id | bigint(20) | YES | MUL | NULL | | +-------------+------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ 3 rows in set (0.01 sec) mysql> SHOW COLUMNS FROM taggings; +---------------+--------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | Field | Type | Null | Key | Default | Extra | +---------------+--------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ | id | int(11) | NO | PRI | NULL | auto_increment | | tag_id | int(11) | YES | MUL | NULL | | | taggable_id | bigint(20) | YES | | NULL | | | taggable_type | varchar(255) | YES | | NULL | | | tagger_id | int(11) | YES | | NULL | | | tagger_type | varchar(255) | YES | | NULL | | | context | varchar(128) | YES | | NULL | | | created_at | datetime | YES | | NULL | | +---------------+--------------+------+-----+---------+----------------+ So it is examining way more rows than it shows in the explain query, probably because some indexes are not being applied. Do you guys can help m with that?

  • Broken corba object references

    - by cube
    I'm working on a homework and got stuck. The task is to serve objects using a default servant. But when I try to use the reference, weird things happen. Some part of corba prints a stack trace, but no exception is thrown. The problem happens when the server receives the reference and should call some method on it. The reference is then shortened and doesn't contain the object ID (which means that my servant implementation can't do anything reasonable). This is the implementation of the servant, where the problem appears: public class ModelFileImpl extends ModelFilePOA{ @Override public String getName() { try { return new String(_poa().reference_to_id(_this_object())); } catch (Throwable e) {} assert false; return null; } } If I take _this_object().toString() inside the try block and put it into dior -i i get this: ------IOR components----- TypeId : IDL:termproject/idl/ModelFile:1.0 TAG_INTERNET_IOP Profiles: Profile Id: 0 IIOP Version: 1.2 Host: 127.0.0.1 Port: 45954 Object key (URL): %AF%AB%CB%00%00%00%00%20Q%BA%F4%FF%00%00%00%01%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%01%0000%00%08RootPOA%00%00%00%00%08%00%00%00%02%00%00%00%00%14 Object key (hex): 0xAF AB CB 00 00 00 00 20 51 BA F4 FF 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 08 52 6F 6F 74 50 4F 41 00 00 00 00 08 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 14 -- Found 2 Tagged Components-- #0: TAG_CODE_SETS ForChar native code set Id: ISO8859_1 Char Conversion Code Sets: UTF8 , Unknown TCS: 10020 ForWChar native code set Id: UTF16 WChar Conversion Code Sets: Unknown TCS: 10100 Unknown tag : 38 however the part of server that makes the reference and the client see the reference as ------IOR components----- TypeId : IDL:termproject/idl/ModelFile:1.0 TAG_INTERNET_IOP Profiles: Profile Id: 0 IIOP Version: 1.2 Host: 127.0.0.1 Port: 45954 Object key (URL): %AF%AB%CB%00%00%00%00%20Q%BA%F4%FF%00%00%00%01%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%02%00%00%00%08RootPOA%00%00%00%00%09modelPoa%00%00%00%00%00%00%00%10testModel1.MyIDL%14 Object key (hex): 0xAF AB CB 00 00 00 00 20 51 BA F4 FF 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 08 52 6F 6F 74 50 4F 41 00 00 00 00 09 6D 6F 64 65 6C 50 6F 61 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 74 65 73 74 4D 6F 64 65 6C 31 2E 4D 79 49 44 4C 14 -- Found 2 Tagged Components-- #0: TAG_CODE_SETS ForChar native code set Id: ISO8859_1 Char Conversion Code Sets: UTF8 , Unknown TCS: 10020 ForWChar native code set Id: UTF16 WChar Conversion Code Sets: Unknown TCS: 10100 Unknown tag : 38 ("modelPoa" (the name of the poa working with default clients) and "testModel1.MyIDL" (the identifier of the object) in the object key are missing in the first one) I've tried sniffing the traffic and found out that the client still sends the correct reference. • Unable to browse some pdfs and docs.

    - by JamesEggers
    I have a web site that uses Microsoft Indexing Service to index and query a directory that holds various documents of type pdf, rtf, mht, and doc. The indexing and querying works well (for the most part); however, some files will load while others will not. This is a Windows Server 2003 box running the site using IIS 6. The indexed directory is a sub directory off of the site's root directory (i.e. http://my.domain.com/files/). The file paths are accurate in the URL; however, I can only access some of the files of each file type. The files that I cannot access give a 404 File Not Found. I am able to open all files via windows explorer;however, attempting to open them via a browser over http is hit and miss. Has anyone experienced this issue and know how to resolve it? Anyone have any idea why I could access some files but not others? Does anyone have any recommendations on what to look into to try this (i.e. does owner matter or something like that?)? Even this simple code snipped doesn't work: using (FileStream stream = File.OpenRead("response.xml")) { XmlReader reader = XmlReader.Create(stream); XDocument doc = XDocument.Load(reader); XElement feed = doc.Element("feed"); if (feed == null) { Console.WriteLine("feed not found"); } XElement id = doc.Element("id"); if (id == null) { Console.WriteLine("id is null"); } } Problem is that both id and feed are null here. What wrong am I doing?

  • Dynamic 'twitter style' urls with ASP.NET

    - by Desiny
    I am looking to produce an MVC site which has complete control of the url structure using routing. The specific requirements are: www.mysite.com/ = homepage (home controller) www.mysite.com/common/about = content page (common controller) www.mysite.com/common/contact = content page (common controller) www.mysite.com/john = twitter style user page (dynamic controller) www.mysite.com/sarah = twitter style user page (dynamic controller) www.mysite.com/me = premium style user page (premium controller) www.mysite.com/oldpage.html = 301 redirect to new page www.mysite.com/oldpage.asp?id=3333 = 301 redirect to new page My routes look as follows: routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}"); routes.MapRoute( "Common", "common/{action}/{id}", new { controller = "common", action = "Index", id = "" } ); routes.MapRoute( "Home", "", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = "" } ); routes.MapRoute( "Dynamic", "{id}", new { controller = "dynamic", action = "Index", id = "" } ); In order to handle the 301 rredirct, I have a database defining the old pages and their new page urls and a stored procdure to handle the lookup. The code (handler) looks like this: public class AspxCatchHandler : IHttpHandler, IRequiresSessionState { #region IHttpHandler Members public bool IsReusable { get { return true; } } public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { if (context.Request.Url.AbsolutePath.Contains("aspx") && !context.Request.Url.AbsolutePath.ToLower().Contains("default.aspx")) { string strurl = context.Request.Url.PathAndQuery.ToString(); string chrAction = ""; string chrDest = ""; try { DataTable dtRedirect = SqlFactory.Execute( ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["emptum"].ConnectionString, "spGetRedirectAction", new SqlParameter[] { new SqlParameter("@chrURL", strurl) }, true); chrAction = dtRedirect.Rows[0]["chrAction"].ToString(); chrDest = dtRedirect.Rows[0]["chrDest"].ToString(); chrDest = context.Request.Url.Host.ToString() + "/" + chrDest; chrDest = "http://" + chrDest; if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(strurl)) context.Response.Redirect("~/"); } catch { chrDest = "/";// context.Request.Url.Host.ToString(); } context.Response.Clear(); context.Response.Status = "301 Moved Permanently"; context.Response.AddHeader("Location", chrDest); context.Response.End(); } else { string originalPath = context.Request.Path; HttpContext.Current.RewritePath("/", false); IHttpHandler httpHandler = new MvcHttpHandler(); httpHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext.Current); HttpContext.Current.RewritePath(originalPath, false); } } #endregion } It is very simple to look up a user and in fact the above code does this. My problem is in the dynamic / premium part. I am trying to do the following: 1) in the dynamic controller, lookup the username. 2) if the username is in the user list (database), show the Index ActionResult of the Dynamic controller. 3) if the username is not found, look up the username in the premium list 4) if the username is fund in the premium list (database) then show the Index ActionResult of the Preium controller. 5) If all else fails jump to the 404 page (which will ask the user to sign up) Is this possible? Looking up the user twice is a bad idea for performance? How do I do this without redirecting?

  • How to make Net::Msmgr run?

    - by codeholic
    There's Net::Msmgr module on CPAN. It's written clean and the code looks trustworthy at the first glance. However this module seems to be beta and there is little documentation and no tests :-/ Has anyone used this module in production? I haven't managed to make it run by now, because it requires all event loop processing to be done in the application and as I've already said there is little documentation and no working examples to study. That's where I've gone so far: #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; use Event; use Net::Msmgr::Object; use Net::Msmgr::Session; use Net::Msmgr::User; use constant DEBUG => 511; use constant EVENT_TIMEOUT => 5; # seconds my ($username, $password) = qw/[email protected] my.password/; my $buddy = '[email protected]'; my $user = Net::Msmgr::User->new(user => $username, password => $password); my $session = Net::Msmgr::Session->new; $session->debug(DEBUG); $session->login_handler(\&login_handler); $session->user($user); my $conv; sub login_handler { my $self = shift; print "LOGIN\n"; $self->ui_state_nln; $conv = $session->ui_new_conversation; $conv->invite($buddy); } our %watcher; sub ConnectHandler { my ($connection) = @_; warn "CONNECT\n"; my $socket = $connection->socket; $watcher{$connection} = Event->io(fd => $socket, cb => [ $connection, '_recv_message' ], poll => 're', desc => 'recv_watcher', repeat => 1); } sub DisconnectHandler { my $connection = shift; print "DISCONNECT\n"; $watcher{$connection}->cancel; } $session->connect_handler(\&ConnectHandler); $session->disconnect_handler(\&DisconnectHandler); $session->Login; Event::loop(); That's what it outputs: Dispatch Server connecting to: messenger.hotmail.com:1863 Dispatch Server connected CONNECT Dispatch Server >>>VER 1 MSNP2 CVR0 --> VER 1 MSNP2 CVR0 Dispatch Server >>>USR 2 MD5 I [email protected] --> USR 2 MD5 I [email protected] Dispatch Server <<<VER 1 CVR0 <-- VER 1 CVR0 And that's all, here it hangs. The handler on login is not being triggered. What am I doing wrong?

  • mySQL to .XSL help

    - by kielie
    hi guys, I have to create a script that takes a mySQL table, and exports it into .XSL format, and then saves that file into a specified folder on the web host. I got it working, but now I can't seem to get it to automatically save the file to the location without prompting the user. It needs to run every day at a specified time, so it can save the previous days leads into a .XSL file on the web host. Here is the code: <?php // DB TABLE Exporter // // How to use: // // Place this file in a safe place, edit the info just below here // browse to the file, enjoy! // CHANGE THIS STUFF FOR WHAT YOU NEED TO DO $dbhost = "-"; $dbuser = "-"; $dbpass = "-"; $dbname = "-"; $dbtable = "-"; // END CHANGING STUFF $cdate = date("Y-m-d"); // get current date // first thing that we are going to do is make some functions for writing out // and excel file. These functions do some hex writing and to be honest I got // them from some where else but hey it works so I am not going to question it // just reuse // This one makes the beginning of the xls file function xlsBOF() { echo pack("ssssss", 0x809, 0x8, 0x0, 0x10, 0x0, 0x0); return; } // This one makes the end of the xls file function xlsEOF() { echo pack("ss", 0x0A, 0x00); return; } // this will write text in the cell you specify function xlsWriteLabel($Row, $Col, $Value ) { $L = strlen($Value); echo pack("ssssss", 0x204, 8 + $L, $Row, $Col, 0x0, $L); echo $Value; return; } // make the connection an DB query $dbc = mysql_connect( $dbhost , $dbuser , $dbpass ) or die( mysql_error() ); mysql_select_db( $dbname ); $q = "SELECT * FROM ".$dbtable." WHERE date ='$cdate'"; $qr = mysql_query( $q ) or die( mysql_error() ); // Ok now we are going to send some headers so that this // thing that we are going make comes out of browser // as an xls file. // header("Pragma: public"); header("Expires: 0"); header("Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0"); header("Content-Type: application/force-download"); header("Content-Type: application/octet-stream"); header("Content-Type: application/download"); //this line is important its makes the file name header("Content-Disposition: attachment;filename=export_".$dbtable.".xls "); header("Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary "); // start the file xlsBOF(); // these will be used for keeping things in order. $col = 0; $row = 0; // This tells us that we are on the first row $first = true; while( $qrow = mysql_fetch_assoc( $qr ) ) { // Ok we are on the first row // lets make some headers of sorts if( $first ) { foreach( $qrow as $k => $v ) { // take the key and make label // make it uppper case and replace _ with ' ' xlsWriteLabel( $row, $col, strtoupper( ereg_replace( "_" , " " , $k ) ) ); $col++; } // prepare for the first real data row $col = 0; $row++; $first = false; } // go through the data foreach( $qrow as $k => $v ) { // write it out xlsWriteLabel( $row, $col, $v ); $col++; } // reset col and goto next row $col = 0; $row++; } xlsEOF(); exit(); ?> I tried using, fwrite to accomplish this, but it didn't seem to go very well, I removed the header information too, but nothing worked. Here is the original code, as I found it, any help would be greatly appreciated. :-) Thanx in advance. :-)

  • How to make Net::Msmnr run?

    - by codeholic
    There's Net::Msmgr module on CPAN. It's written clean and the code looks trustworthy at the first glance. However this module seems to be beta and there is little documentation and no tests :-/ Has anyone used this module in production? I haven't managed to make it run by now, because it requires all event loop processing to be done in the application and as I've already said there is little documentation and no working examples to study. That's where I've gone so far: #!/usr/bin/perl use strict; use warnings; use Event; use Net::Msmgr::Object; use Net::Msmgr::Session; use Net::Msmgr::User; use constant DEBUG => 511; use constant EVENT_TIMEOUT => 5; # seconds my ($username, $password) = qw/[email protected] my.password/; my $buddy = '[email protected]'; my $user = Net::Msmgr::User->new(user => $username, password => $password); my $session = Net::Msmgr::Session->new; $session->debug(DEBUG); $session->login_handler(\&login_handler); $session->user($user); my $conv; sub login_handler { my $self = shift; print "LOGIN\n"; $self->ui_state_nln; $conv = $session->ui_new_conversation; $conv->invite($buddy); } our %watcher; sub ConnectHandler { my ($connection) = @_; warn "CONNECT\n"; my $socket = $connection->socket; $watcher{$connection} = Event->io(fd => $socket, cb => [ $connection, '_recv_message' ], poll => 're', desc => 'recv_watcher', repeat => 1); } sub DisconnectHandler { my $connection = shift; print "DISCONNECT\n"; $watcher{$connection}->cancel; } $session->connect_handler(\&ConnectHandler); $session->disconnect_handler(\&DisconnectHandler); $session->Login; Event::loop(); That's what it outputs: Dispatch Server connecting to: messenger.hotmail.com:1863 Dispatch Server connected CONNECT Dispatch Server >>>VER 1 MSNP2 CVR0 --> VER 1 MSNP2 CVR0 Dispatch Server >>>USR 2 MD5 I [email protected] --> USR 2 MD5 I [email protected] Dispatch Server <<<VER 1 CVR0 <-- VER 1 CVR0 And that's all, here it hangs. The handler on login is not being triggered. What am I doing wrong?

  • iphone web service access

    - by malleswar
    Hi, I have .net webservice methods login and summary. After getting the result from login, I need to show second view and need to call summary method. I am following this tutorial. http://icodeblog.com/2008/11/03/iphone-programming-tutorial-intro-to-soap-web-services/ I created two new classes loginaccess.h and loginaccess.m. @implementation LoginAccess @synthesize ResultString,webData, soapResults, xmlParser; -(NSString*)LoginCheck:(NSString*)userName:(NSString*)pwd { NSString *soapMessage = [NSString stringWithFormat: @"\n" "\n" "\n" "\n" "%@" "%@" "" "\n" "\n",userName,pwd ]; NSLog(soapMessage); NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.XXXXXXXXX.com/service.asmx"]; NSMutableURLRequest *theRequest = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:url]; NSString *msgLength = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", [soapMessage length]]; [theRequest addValue: @"text/xml; charset=utf-8" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Type"]; [theRequest addValue: @"http://XXXXXXXXm/Login" forHTTPHeaderField:@"SOAPAction"]; [theRequest addValue: msgLength forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"]; [theRequest setHTTPMethod:@"POST"]; [theRequest setHTTPBody: [soapMessage dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]]; NSURLConnection *theConnection = [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:theRequest delegate:self]; if( theConnection ) { webData = [[NSMutableData data] retain]; } else { NSLog(@"theConnection is NULL"); } //[nameInput resignFirstResponder]; return ResultString; } -(void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveResponse:(NSURLResponse *)response { [webData setLength: 0]; } -(void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didReceiveData:(NSData *)data { [webData appendData:data]; } -(void)connection:(NSURLConnection *)connection didFailWithError:(NSError *)error { NSLog(@"ERROR with theConenction"); [connection release]; [webData release]; } -(void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection { NSLog(@"DONE. Received Bytes: %d", [webData length]); NSString *theXML = [[NSString alloc] initWithBytes: [webData mutableBytes] length:[webData length] encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; NSLog(theXML); [theXML release]; if( xmlParser ) { [xmlParser release]; } xmlParser = [[NSXMLParser alloc] initWithData: webData]; [xmlParser setDelegate: self]; [xmlParser setShouldResolveExternalEntities: YES]; [xmlParser parse]; [connection release]; [webData release]; } -(void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didStartElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *) namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName attributes: (NSDictionary *)attributeDict { if( [elementName isEqualToString:@"LoginResult"]) { if(!soapResults) { soapResults = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; } recordResults = TRUE; } } -(void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser foundCharacters:(NSString *)string { if( recordResults ) { [soapResults appendString: string]; } } -(void)parser:(NSXMLParser *)parser didEndElement:(NSString *)elementName namespaceURI:(NSString *)namespaceURI qualifiedName:(NSString *)qName { if( [elementName isEqualToString:@"LoginResult"]) { recordResults = FALSE; ResultString = soapResults; NSLog(@"Login"); [VariableStore setStr:ResultString]; NSLog(soapResults); [soapResults release]; soapResults = nil; } } @end I am calling LoginCheck method and based on result I want to show the second view. Here after finishing of the button touch down event, it enter into did end element, so I am always getting nil value. If I use the same code controller it works fine as I push second view controller in didendelement. Please give me some samples to place the web service calls in differnt class and how to call them in viewcontrollers. Regards, Malleswar

  • Async networking + threading problem

    - by randallmeadows
    I kick off a network request, assuming no login credentials are required to talk to the destination server. If they are required, then I get an authentication challenge, at which point I display a view requesting said credentials from the user. When they are supplied, I restart the network request, using those credentials. That's all fine and dandy, as long as I only do one request at a time. But I'm not, typically. When both requests are kicked off, I get the first challenge, and present the prompt (using -presentModalViewController:). Then the 2nd challenge comes in. And I crash when it tries to display the 2nd prompt. I have the bulk of this wrapped in an @synchronized() block, but this has no effect because these delegate methods are all being called on the same (main) thread. The docs say the delegate methods are called on the same thread in which the connection was started. OK, no problem; I'll just write a method that I run on a background thread using -performSelectorInBackground: NSURLConnection *connection = [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request delegate:self startImmediately:NO]; [connections addObject:connection]; [self performSelectorInBackground:@selector(startConnection:) withObject:connection]; [connection release]; - (void)startConnection:(NSURLConnection *)connection { NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [NSAutoreleasePool new]; [connection scheduleInRunLoop:[NSRunLoop currentRunLoop] forMode:NSDefaultRunLoopMode]; [connection start]; [pool drain]; } which should put every network request, and its callbacks, on its own thread, and then my @synchronized() blocks will take effect. The docs for -initWithRequest:... state "Messages to the delegate will be sent on the thread that calls this method. By default, for the connection to work correctly the calling thread’s run loop must be operating in the default run loop mode." Ok, I'm doing that. They also state "If you pass NO [for startImmediately], you must schedule the connection in a run loop before starting it." OK, I'm doing that, too. Furthermore, the docs for NSRunLoop state "Each NSThread object, including the application’s main thread, has an NSRunLoop object automatically created for it as needed. If you need to access the current thread’s run loop, you do so with the class method currentRunLoop." I'm assuming this applies to the background thread created by the call -performSelectorInBackground... (which does appear to be the case, when I execute 'po [NSClassFromString(@"NSRunLoop") currentRunLoop]' in the -startConnection: method). The -startConnection: method is indeed being called. But after kicking off the connection, I now never get any callbacks on it. None of the -connectionDid… delegate methods. (I even tried explicitly starting the thread's run loop, but that made no difference; I've used threads like this before, and I've never had to start the run loop manually before--but I'm now grasping at straws...) I think I've come up with a workaround such that I only handle one request at a time, but it's kludgy and I'd like to do this the Right Way. But, what am I missing here? Thanks! randy

  • how to user ajax with json in ruby on rails

    - by fenec
    I am implemeting a facebook application in rails using facebooker plugin, therefore it is very important to use this architecture if i want to update multiple DOM in my page. if my code works in a regular rails application it would work in my facebook application. i am trying to use ajax to let the user know that the comment was sent, and update the comments bloc. migration: class CreateComments < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up create_table :comments do |t| t.string :body t.timestamps end end def self.down drop_table :comments end end controller: class CommentsController < ApplicationController def index @comments=Comment.all end def create @comment=Comment.create(params[:comment]) if request.xhr? @comments=Comment.all render :json=>{:ids_to_update=>[:all_comments,:form_message], :all_comments=>render_to_string(:partial=>"comments" ), :form_message=>"Your comment has been added." } else redirect_to comments_url end end end view: <script> function update_count(str,message_id) { len=str.length; if (len < 200) { $(message_id).innerHTML="<span style='color: green'>"+ (200-len)+" remaining</span>"; } else { $(message_id).innerHTML="<span style='color: red'>"+ "Comment too long. Only 200 characters allowed.</span>"; } } function update_multiple(json) { for( var i=0; i<json["ids_to_update"].length; i++ ) { id=json["ids_to_update"][i]; $(id).innerHTML=json[id]; } } </script> <div id="all_comments" > <%= render :partial=>"comments/comments" %> </div> Talk some trash: <br /> <% remote_form_for Comment.new, :url=>comments_url, :success=>"update_multiple(request)" do |f|%> <%= f.text_area :body, :onchange=>"update_count(this.getValue(),'remaining');" , :onkeyup=>"update_count(this.getValue(),'remaining');" %> <br /> <%= f.submit 'Post'%> <% end %> <p id="remaining" >&nbsp;</p> <p id="form_message" >&nbsp;</p> <br><br> <br> if i try to do alert(json) in the first line of the update_multiple function , i got an [object Object]. if i try to do alert(json["ids_to_update"][0]) in the first line of the update_multiple function , there is no dialog box displayed. however the comment got saved but nothing is updated. questions: 1.how can javascript and rails know that i am dealing with json objects? 2.how can i debug this problem? 3.how can i get it to work?

  • Received memory warning on setimage

    - by Sam Budda
    This problem has completely stumped me. This is for iOS 5.0 with Xcode 4.2 What's going on is that in my app I let user select images from their photo album and I save those images to apps document directory. Pretty straight forward. What I do then is that in one of the viewController.m files I create multiple UIImageViews and I then set the image for the image view from one of the picture that user selected from apps dir. The problem is that after a certain number of UIImage sets I receive a "Received memory warning". It usually happens when there are 10 pictures. If lets say user selected 11 pictures then the app crashes with Error (GBC). NOTE: each of these images are at least 2.5 MB a piece. After hours of testing I finally narrowed down the problem to this line of code [button1AImgVw setImage:image]; If I comment out that code. All compiles fine and no memory errors happen. But if I don't comment out that code I receive memory errors and eventually a crash. Also note it does process the whole CreateViews IBAction but still crashes at the end. I cannot do release or dealloc since I am running this on iOS 5.0 with Xcode 4.2 Here is the code that I used. Can anyone tell me what did I do wrong? - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. [self CreateViews]; } -(IBAction) CreateViews { paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask ,YES); documentsPath = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; //here 15 is for testing purposes for (int i = 0; i < 15; i++) { //Lets not get bogged down here. The problem is not here UIImageView *button1AImgVw = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(10*i, 10, 10, 10)]; [self.view addSubview:button1AImgVw]; NSMutableString *picStr1a = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; NSString *dataFile1a = [[NSString alloc] init]; picStr1a = [NSMutableString stringWithFormat:@"%d.jpg", i]; dataFile1a = [documentsPath stringByAppendingPathComponent:picStr1a]; NSData *potraitImgData1a =[[NSData alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:dataFile1a]; UIImage *image = [[UIImage alloc] initWithData:potraitImgData1a]; // This is causing my app to crash if I load more than 10 images! //[button1AImgVw setImage:image]; } NSLog(@"It went to END!"); } //Error I get when 10 images are selected. • My xcode mapview wont work when combined with webview

    - by user1715702
    I have a small problem with my mapview. When combining the mapview code with the code for webview, the app does not zoom in on my position correctly (just gives me a world overview where i´m supposed to be somewhere in California - wish I was). And it doesn´t show the pin that I have placed on a specific location. These things works perfectly fine, as long as the code does not contain anything concerning webview. Below you´ll find the code. If someone can help me to solve this, I would be som thankful! ViewController.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import <MapKit/MapKit.h> #define METERS_PER_MILE 1609.344 @interface ViewController : UIViewController <MKMapViewDelegate>{ BOOL _doneInitialZoom; IBOutlet UIWebView *webView; } @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet MKMapView *_mapView; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIWebView *webView; @end ViewController.m #import "ViewController.h" #import "NewClass.h" @interface ViewController () @end @implementation ViewController @synthesize _mapView; @synthesize webView; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; [_mapView setMapType:MKMapTypeStandard]; [_mapView setZoomEnabled:YES]; [_mapView setScrollEnabled:YES]; MKCoordinateRegion region = { {0.0,0.0} , {0.0,0.0} }; region.center.latitude = 61.097557; region.center.longitude = 12.126545; region.span.latitudeDelta = 0.01f; region.span.longitudeDelta = 0.01f; [_mapView setRegion:region animated:YES]; newClass *ann = [[newClass alloc] init]; ann.title = @"Hjem"; ann.subtitle = @"Her bor jeg"; ann.coordinate = region.center; [_mapView addAnnotation:ann]; NSString *urlAddress = @"http://google.no"; //Create a URL object. • Make wix installation set upgrade to same folder

    - by Magnus Akselvoll
    How can I make a major upgrade to an installation set (MSI) built with Wix install into the same folder as the original installation? The installation is correctly detected as an upgrade, but the directory selection screen is still shown and with the default value (not necessarily the current installation folder). Do I have to do manual work like saving the installation folder in a registry key upon first installing and then read this key upon upgrade? If so, is there any example? Or is there some easier way to achieve this in MSI / Wix? As reference I paste in my current Wix file below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <!-- Package information --> <Package Keywords="Installer" Id="e85e6190-1cd4-49f5-8924-9da5fcb8aee8" Description="Installs MyCompany Integration Framework 1.0.0" Comments="Installs MyCompany Integration Framework 1.0.0" InstallerVersion="100" Compressed="yes" /> <Upgrade Id='9071eacc-9b5a-48e3-bb90-8064d2b2c45d'> <UpgradeVersion Property="PATCHFOUND" OnlyDetect="no" Minimum="0.0.1" IncludeMinimum="yes" Maximum="1.0.0" IncludeMaximum="yes"/> </Upgrade> <!-- Useless but necessary... --> <Media Id="1" Cabinet="MyCompany.cab" EmbedCab="yes" /> <!-- Precondition: .Net 2 must be installed --> <Condition Message='This setup requires the .NET Framework 2 or higher.'> <![CDATA[MsiNetAssemblySupport >= "2.0.50727"]]> </Condition> <Directory Id="TARGETDIR" Name="SourceDir"> <Directory Id="MyCompany" Name="MyCompany"> <Directory Id="INSTALLDIR" Name="Integrat" LongName="MyCompany Integration Framework"> <Component Id="MyCompanyDllComponent" Guid="4f362043-03a0-472d-a84f-896522ce7d2b" DiskId="1"> <File Id="MyCompanyIntegrationDll" Name="IbIntegr.dll" src="..\Build\MyCompany.Integration.dll" Vital="yes" LongName="MyCompany.Integration.dll" /> <File Id="MyCompanyServiceModelDll" Name="IbSerMod.dll" src="..\Build\MyCompany.ServiceModel.dll" Vital="yes" LongName="MyCompany.ServiceModel.dll" /> </Component> <!-- More components --> </Directory> </Directory> </Directory> <Feature Id="MyCompanyProductFeature" Title='MyCompany Integration Framework' Description='The complete package' Display='expand' Level="1" InstallDefault='local' ConfigurableDirectory="INSTALLDIR"> <ComponentRef Id="MyCompanyDllComponent" /> </Feature> <!-- Task scheduler application.
