Say I have the following tables: Car with columns: id (int - pk), makeid (fk), description (nvarchar), year (int), features (int - bitwise value - 32 features only) CarMake with columns: id (int - pk), mfgname (nvarchar) CarFeatures with columns: id (int - 1, 2, 4, 8, etc.), featurename (nvarchar) If someone searches "red honda civic 2002 4 doors", how would I parse the input string so that I could also search in the "CarMake" and "CarFeatures" tables?

Monitor USB optical mouse activity for movement and call a program on Windows

I'm essentially looking to monitor a USB port input for whatever happens when the optical mouse detects its own movement and turns itself on. These mice usually have a dim red light when in "standby" mode and then the red light becomes brighter once you start moving it around. I want to use Visual Basic or something else native to the Windows environment to open an exe file or play a wav sound or call a bat file when the mouse "wakes up". Any suggestions or pushes in the right direction are appreciated.

I am running a Apache Server . I have a simple screen capture set up using Html2canvas .The capture function is rendering a blank Image . I have tried numerous ways to configure the javascript using related articles from this site to no Avail . Simple 2-color differential image compression

Is there an efficient, quick and simple example of doing differential b/w image compression? Or even better, some simple (but lossless) streaming technique which could accept a number of frames as input? I have a simple b/w image (320x200) stream, displaying something similar to a LED display, which is updated about once a second using AJAX. Images are pretty similar most of the time, so if I subtracted them, result would compress pretty well (even with simple RLE). Is something like this available?

I currently have a table which only has a single editable column. I have a jQCuery change() event associated with the column's input controls to prevent any non numeric keys being pressed, other than tab / delete / backspace. I would like to replace the Enter key with a Tab press. Can someone please show me the relevant statement to replace the keyCode based on the Enter character being intercepted?

Hey Guys I am getting some extra characters like '5ae' and '45c' interspersed along with valid data when using http_post_data. The data I am sending is XML and so is the response. The response contains these weird characters thats making the XML invalid. If I use fsockopen I do not have this issue. Would really like some input on this.

I wrote the following perl script to recursively loop through a directory and in all html files for img/script/a tags do the following: Convert the entire url to lowercase Replace spaces and %20 with underscores The script works great except when an image tag in wrapped with an anchor tag. Is there a way to modify the current script to also be able to manipulate the links for nested tags that are not on separate lines? use jquery to toggle disabled state with a radio button

I want to toggle two radio buttons and select fields based on which radio button is selected. I have the jQuery working, but want to know if there is a way to make it more efficient. Seems like quite a few lines for the simple goal I am trying to achieve. Here are the requirements: when the page loads, #aircraftType should be checked and #aircraftModelSelect should be grayed out (right now, the "checked" is being ignored by Firefox). If the user clicks either #aircraftType or #aircraftModel, the opposite select field should become disabled (if #aircraftModel is checked, #aircraftTypeSelect should be disabled, and vise versa). Any help on optimizing this code is appreciated. Hi I have a really complicated dynamic query that i want to use to retrieve data from the database I am working in .net 3.5 sql server 2008 i created a stored procedure that accepts a varchar(max) as input parameter and does execute (@SqlQuery) it executes but does not return anything I really would like to use LINQ as all my project is implemented using linq Any Idea how to do it what is the problem?

Hi, I am handling a click on a list item with jquery: $("#some_list li").click(function(event) { // magic happens here } The list items look like: <li><input type='checkbox'>Some text<span class='info'>(?)</span></li> I want to have different behaviours depending on whether the user clicks within the (?), or anywhere else in the list. How can I detect which element the user clicked on?

Change Variable back to original value after Regex matching.

I just "finished" expanding my Palindrome Tester, made in C#. To allow for phrases I added a simple regex match for all non-alphanumeric characters. At the end of the program it states " is(n't) a palindrome." But now with the regex it prints the no spaces/punctuation version of it. I would like to be able to print the original user input.
