    I'm converting an array of integers into a char by iterating through the whole array, and then I'm adding the resulting string to ncurses's method new_item.   • C# DateTime Class and Datetime in database

    Hello . I have the following problem. I have an object with some DateTime properties , and a Table in database that I store all that objects , in Sql server I want to store the DateTime properties in some columns of DateTime Datatype, but the format of datetime in sql server is different from the DateTime class in c# and I got an sql exception saying "DateTime cannot be parsed". I know how to solve this by making the format yyyy-MM-dd but is this the proper and best solution to do this?

    I have two sets of data (locations) in seperate tables and I need to compare if they match or not. I have a UDF which performs a calculation based upon 5 values from each table. How do I perform a select with a join using this udf? my udf is basically defined by....     I need to find the category id in the products table below. However the cms_ecom_categories.id is wrapped with the & character like &12&.   • PHP 5.2 Function needed for GENERIC sorting of a recordset array

    Somebody must have come up with a solution for this by now. We are using PHP 5.2. (Don't ask me why.) I wrote a PHP class to display a recordset as an HTML table/datagrid, and I wish to expand it so that we can sort the datagrid by whichever column the user selects. In the below example data, we may need to sort the recordset array by Name, Shirt, Assign, or Age fields. I will take care of the display part, I just need help with sorting the data array. As usual, I query a database to get a result, iterate throught he result, and put the records into an assciateiave array. So, we end up with an array of arrays. (See below.) I need to be able to sort by any column in the dataset. However, I will not know the column names at design time, nor will I know if the colums will be string or numeric values. I have seen a ton of solutions to this, but I have not seen a GOOD and GENERIC solution Can somebody please suggest a way that I can sort the recordset array that is GENERIC, and will work on any recordset? Again, I will not know the fields names or datatypes at design time. The array presented below is ONLY an example. UPDATE: Yes, I would love to have the database do the sorting, but that is just not going to happen. The queries that we are running are very complex. (I am not really querying a table of Star Trek characters.) They include joins, limits, and complex WHERE clauses. Writing a function to pick apart the SQL statement to add an ORDER BY is really not an option. Besides, sometimes we already have the array that is a result of the query, rather than the ability to run a new query.   • SplitView Controller portrait mode- Top button keeps shifting to right.

    Hi, I am using SplitViewController in ipad. On a button click from detail view, I open a modalview which is in full screen mode. Whenever I dismiss the modal view, the button which displays the table view in portrait mode shifts to the right. If I continue the process of opening the modal view and dismissing it, it keeps moving to the right until it disappears to the right of the screen. Any idea why this is happening?

    Hello, I have a table valued function to perform full text search on SQL server. The result type of my full text search function in LINQ is a special autogenerated type which includes KEY and RANK in addition to my regular domain object properties. So, if my regular domain object is PERSONS (with properties FirstName, LastName etc.), I also have a result object PERSONS_FTSResult with the same properties + KEY and RANK. Is there an easy way to cast it back to PERSONS?

    I'm developing a form generator, and wondering if it would be bad mojo to store JSON in an SQL Server database? I want to keep my database & tables simple, so I was going to have `pKey, formTitle, formJSON` on a table, and then store {["firstName":{"required":"true","type":"text"},"lastName":{"required":"true","type":"text"}} in formJSON. would this slow down the DB server too much to set live? Any input is appreciated.

  • MVC Rendered Partial, how to get partial/view model in main model post to controller

    I have a text file and when users upload the file, the controller action method parses that file using state machine and uses a generic list to store some values. I pass this back to the view in the form of an IEnumerable. Within my main view, based on this ienumerable list I render a partail view to iterate items and display labels and a textarea. Users could add their input in the text area.     I have a single table called "Indexes", it contains one nvarchar and three ntext columns (all Full Text Indexes). Index is up to date. CONTAINSTABLE(Indexes, *), 'test', 5) //5 results No matter what I change the above keyword too, it only returns the first 3-5 results. It should roughly return 90-120 results, for the above query. When the one user opens a transaction and INSERTs or UPDATEs data in "table1" and then another user opens a transaction and tries to INSERT data to the same table, does the second user need to wait 'til the first user commits the transaction?
