• cmake add_library at a custom location

  I need to build a library that is to be placed at a custom location stored in the variable CUSTOM_OUTDIR. Currently, I am using the following code to make sure that the library is copied to its proper location. ADD_LIBRARY(example MODULE example.c) GET_TARGET_PROPERTY(FILEPATH example LOCATION) ADD_CUSTOM_COMMAND( TARGET example POST_BUILD COMMAND ${CMAKE_COMMAND} ARGS -E copy ${FILEPATH} ${CUSTOM_OUTDIR} ) However, this is not a good solution as the copying is done post_build, and I end up with two copies of the library. Is there a way to setup CMAKE_BINARY_DIR just for the example library so that only one copy of it is kept in the proper location?

  Hi. currently I'm working on this ftp transfer. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229715.aspx I have setup my server computers iis to have a ftp site on port 21 and transfering files works great. But I want to add ftp to a hosted site I got on the server and it's here where I get the problems with connecting. when I try to connect through the command promt I get unknown host error. I have changed the port and open it up in firewall. and even if I could connect how can I decide what folder I want to upload to?

• PHP-GD: Dealing with Unicode characters

  I am developing a web service that renders characters using the PHP GD extension, using a user-selected TTF font. This works fine in ASCII-land, but there are a few problems: The string to be rendered comes in as UTF-8. I would like to limit the list of user-selectable fonts to be only those which can render the string properly, as some fonts only have glyphs for ASCII characters, ISO 8601, etc. In the case where some decorative characters are included, it would be fine to render the majority of characters in the selected font and render the decorative characters in Arial (or whatever font contains the extended glyphs). It does not seem like PHP-GD has support for querying the font metadata sufficiently to figure out if a character can be rendered in a given font. What is a good way to get font metrics into PHP? Is there a command-line utility that can dump in XML or other parsable format?

• Perl When is using AUTOLOAD OK?

  In "Perl Best Practices" the very first line in the section on AUTOLOAD is: Don't use AUTOLOAD However all the cases he describes are dealing with OO or Modules. I have a stand alone script in which some command line switches control which versions of particular functions get defined. Now I know I could just take the conditionals and the evals and stick them naked at the top of my file before everything else, but I find it convenient and cleaner to put them in AUTOLOAD at the end of the file. Is this bad practice / style? If you think so why, and is there a another way to do it?

  Hello, I am trying to create a file that contains all of the code of an app. I have created a file called catlist.txt so that the files are added in the order I need them. A snippet of my catlist.txt: app/controllers/application_controller.rb app/views/layouts/* app/models/account.rb app/controllers/accounts_controller.rb app/views/accounts/* When I run the command the files that are explicitly listed get added but the wildcard files do not. cat catlist.txt|xargs cat > fullcode I get cat: app/views/layouts/*: No such file or directory cat: app/views/accounts/*: No such file or directory Can someone help me with this. If there is an easier method I am open to all suggestions. Barb

  I would like to schedule a batch job in which a can execute a move of data between two workspace application in Hyperion Fusion Edition for Oracle. The tool provided is called 'Data Synchronization' This tool allows for this type if activity to occur upon request via the workspace environment. How might I do this automatically? I noticed there is a Batch Scheduler for which I can request command line batch file to run at a pre-specified time. However, I do not know what resources are available to show me how to do this for the Data-Synchronizations.

• spring mvc simpleformcontroller - how to stop execution when exception thrown

  Hi I am using simpleformcontroller and get exception thrown in my OnSubmit method. This does not seem to stop the simpleformcontroler process as it redisplays my form. I can see from log4j output that the exception is getting caught and forwarding to my error page as expected. I can also tell the onSubmit method does not continue after the exception. Which is all good. But i do not see the error page as the simpleformcontroller starts up again and goes through processing for a new form (i can see in log4j ouput Spring log statements 'Displaying New form', 'Creating new command of class ..'. The normal form page is then displayed again. So the problem is that the exception does not seem to terminate the SimpleFormController, it carries on to display the form again. Anyone help?   I am embarking on some learning and I want to write my own syntax highlighting for files in C++. Can anyone give me ideas on how to go about doing this? To me it seems that when a file is opened: 1. it would need to be parsed and decided what type of source file it is. Trusting the extension might not be full-proof a way to know what keywords/commands apply to what language a way to decide what color each keyword/command gets I want to do this on OS X, C++ or Objective-C Can anyone provide pointers on how I might get started with this?

  rdoc --help says: --accessor, -A accessorname[,..] comma separated list of additional class methods that should be treated like 'attr_reader' and friends. Option may be repeated. Each accessorname may have '=text' appended, in which case that text appears where the r/w/rw appears for normal accessors. Does anyone have any working examples of doing this (both the accessor method definition and the rdoc command invocation)? No matter what combination I try, my accessors will not show up in the RDoc output. Thanks.

  When creating an WPF application with the MVVM pattern, it seems I have to gather the necessary tools myself to even begin the most rudimentary event handling, e.g. AttachedBehaviors I get from here DelegateCommands I get from here Now I'm looking for some way to handle the ItemSelected event in a ComboBox and am getting suggestions of tricks and workarounds to do this (using a XAML trigger or have other elements bound to the selected item, etc.). Ok, I can go down this road, but it seems to be reinventing the wheel. It would be nice to just have an ItemSelected command that I can handle in my ViewModel. Am I missing some set of standard tools or is everyone doing MVVM with WPF basically building and putting together their own collection of tools just so they can do the simplest plumbing tasks with events and commands, things that take only a couple lines in code-behind with a Click="eventHandler"?

  All, I'm a little new to WCF over IIS but have done some ASMX web services before. My WCF service is up and running but the helper page generated by the web service for me has the default names, i.e. the page that says: You have created a service. To test this service, you will need to create a client and use it to call the service. You can do this using the svcutil.exe tool from the command line with the following syntax: svcutil.exe http://localhost:53456/ServicesHost.svc?wsdl In a standard ASMX site I would use method/class attributes to give the web service a name and a namespace. When I click on the link the WSDL has: <wsdl:definitions name="SearchServices" targetNamespace="http://tempuri.org/" i.e. not the WCF Service Contract Name and Namespace from my Interface. I assume the MEX is using some kind of default settings but I'd like to change them to be the correct names. How can I do this?

• Bash script — determine if file modified?

  I have a Bash script that repeatedly copies files every 5 seconds. But this is a touch overkill as usually there is no change. I know about the Linux command watch but as this script will be used on OS X computers (which don’t have watch, and I don’t want to make everyone install macports) I need to be able to check if a file is modified or not with straight Bash code. Should I be checking the file modified time? How can I do that? Edit: I was hoping to expand my script to do more than just copy the file, if it detected a change. So is there a pure-bash way to do this?

  nice /usr/local/bin/convert -colors 2 -colorspace gray -compress group4 /var/www/html/uploads/pokemon.jpg /var/www/html/uploads/pokemontest.jpg This command worked with a really OLD version of Image Magick. With the newest version this method produces a completely black image. nice /usr/local/bin/convert -colorspace gray -compress group4 /var/www/html/uploads/pokemon.jpg /var/www/html/uploads/pokemontest.jpg nice /usr/local/bin/convert -colors 2 /var/www/html/uploads/pokemontest.jpg /var/www/html/uploads/pokemontestfinal.jpg This results in a bitonal gray and black image, but it's really rough. NOT clean at all.

  I have a WPF application that will always run on windows 7, it opens and displays in full-screen mode There is a button within WPF app that opens up Word I would like the WPF application on opening up Word to send a command to the operating system so that it tiles both the WPF application and the Word application windows side by side, so that they each take up 50% of screen each.   My linux (fedora red hat 7) virtual dedicated server has been experiencing OOM multiple times a day for the past several days. I thought the issue was with spamd/spamassassin but after disabling this the errors remains. It is frustrating as I barely have anything running on the server and use the tiniest fraction of bandwidth.   Hi all, Bumped into a somewhat weird problem... I want to turn the string: a\left(b_{d}\right) into a \left( b_{d} \right) in Scite using a Lua script. So, I made the following Lua script for Scite: function SpaceTexEquations() editor:BeginUndoAction() local sel = editor:GetSelText() local cln3 = string.gsub(sel, "\\left(", " \\left( ") local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right)", " \\right) ") editor:ReplaceSel(cln4) editor:EndUndoAction() end The cln3 line works fine, however, cln4 crashes with: /home/user/sciteLuaFunctions.lua:49: invalid pattern capture >Lua: error occurred while processing command I think this is because bracket characters () are reserved characters in Lua; but then, how come the cln3 line works without escaping? By the way I also tried: -- using backslash \ as escape char: local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right\)", " \\right) ") -- crashes all the same -- using percentage sign % as escape chare local cln4 = string.gsub(cln3, "\\right%)", " \\right) ") -- does not crash, but does not match either Could anyone tell me what would be the correct way to do this? • running an outside program (executable) in python?

  Hello all, I just started working on python and I have been trying to run an outside executable form python. I have an executable for a program written in Fortran. Lets say the name for the executable is flow.exe. And my executable is lacated in C:\Documents and Settings\flow_model I tried both os.system and popen commands but so far couldnt make it work. The following code seems like opens the command window but wouldnt execute the model. # Import system modules import sys, string, os, arcgisscripting os.system("C:/Documents and Settings/flow_model/flow.exe") Any suggestions out there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• selenium RC doesnt run the whole test suite

  I'm trying to run an html testSuite with Selenium RC. The browser starts, the first test runs, and it stops. It doesnt continue to the second test case. I named both the test cases with .html extension. IAm using Firefox. If i run them manually , individually from the selenium RC test runner window they run ok. what am i missing, this seems pretty simple but yet iam not able to get this working. Iam using selenium RC 1.0.3 command here java -jar selenium-server.jar -firefoxProfileTemplate"C:\Users\sicky\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\zvt0jj7c.default" -htmlsuite "*firefox" "https://4.17.8.9/" "C:\Users\sicky\Documents\selenium scripts\suite.html" "C:\Users\sicky\Documents\selenium scripts\results.html" What am i missing?
