  • Managing updates with NHibernate

    - by Paul Knopf
    I am aware that you can generate create scripts to generate database objects, but I am looking a way to generate an update script that compares two different schemas (two mapping files). That way I can provide my users with easy database updating from any version to the current version. Thanks!

  • json data not rendered in backbone view

    - by user2535706
    I have been trying to render the json data to the view by calling the rest api and the code is as follows: var Profile = Backbone.Model.extend({ dataType:'jsonp', defaults: { intuitId: null, email: null, type: null }, }); var ProfileList = Backbone.Collection.extend({ model: Profile, url: '/v1/entities/6414256167329108895' }); var ProfileView = Backbone.View.extend({ el: "#profiles", template: _.template($('#profileTemplate').html()), render: function() { _.each(this.model.models, function(profile) { var profileTemplate = this.template(this.model.toJSON()); $(this.el).append(tprofileTemplate); }, this); return this; } }); var profiles = new ProfileList(); var profilesView = new ProfileView({model: profiles}); profiles.fetch(); profilesView.render(); and the html file is as follows: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>SPA Example</title> <!-- <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="src/css/reset.css" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="src/css/harmony_compiled.css" /> --> </head> <body class="harmony"> <header> <div class="title">SPA Example</div> </header> <div id="profiles"></div> <script id="profileTemplate" type="text/template"> <div class="profile"> <div class="info"> <div class="intuitId"> <%= intuitId %> </div> <div class="email"> <%= email %> </div> <div class="type"> <%= type %> </div> </div> </div> </script> </body> </html> This gives me an error and the render function isn't invoking properly and the render function is called even before the REST API returns the JSON response. Could anyone please help me to figure out where I went wrong. Any help is highly appreciated Thank you

  • How do I send a javascript variable to a subsequent jquery function or set of braces?

    - by desbest
    How do I send a javascript variable to a subsequent jquery function? Here is my code. <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { var name = $("#name"), email = $("#email"), password = $("#password"), itemid = $("#itemid"), tips = $(".validateTips"); function updateTips(t) { tips .text(t) .addClass('ui-state-highlight'); setTimeout(function() { tips.removeClass('ui-state-highlight', 1500); }, 500); } $("#dialog-form").dialog({ autoOpen: false, height: 320, width: 350, modal: true, /* buttons: { 'Change category': function() { alert("The itemid2 is "+itemid2); var bValid = true; $('#users tbody').append('<tr>' + '<td>' + name.val() + '</td>' + '<td>' + email.val() + '</td>' + '<td>' + password.val() + '</td>' + '<td>' + itemid.val() + '</td>' + '</tr>'); $(this).dialog('close'); }, Cancel: function() { $(this).dialog('close'); } }, */ close: function() { allFields.val('').removeClass('ui-state-error'); } }); $('.changecategory') .button() .click(function() { var categoryid = $(this).attr("categoryid"); var itemid = $(this).attr("itemid"); var itemid2 = $(this).attr("itemid"); var itemtitle = $(this).attr("itemtitle"); var parenttag = $(this).parent().get(0).tagName; var removediv = "itemid_" +itemid; alert("The itemid is "+itemid); $('#dialog-form').dialog('open'); }); }); </script> I'll break it down. The .changecategory section happens FIRST when an image on my page is clicked. $("#dialog-form").dialog({ is then called, and the variable item id is not passed to this function. How can I pass a variable from one function to another? Is that possible. Is there a way I can pass a variable to another jquery function without having to resort of setting a cookie with javascript and then using jquery to read it?

  • how to scan a LAN for live hosts using PHP and SNMP?

    - by aag
    I would like to have a quick script listing all active hosts in a LAN, and I am a bit lost. From other posts I figured that this can be done most effectively by polling the DHCP server (in my case a Lancom router) using SNMP. However, I am not familiar with the SNMP commands in PHP. Is snmpwalk() the correct function? Can I get snmpwalk() or any other php function to return an array that contains a list of all live hosts?

  • installing a package with xml based configuration in python

    - by saminny
    Hi, I am planning to write a generic python module for installing a package. This script should retrieve the module from a remote machine or locally and install it on a given host and user. However, there needs to be changes made to the package files based on the host, user and given environment. My approach is to use XML to describe changes to be made to package files based on environment. It will first extract the package to the user directory and then using an xml configuration file, it should replace the file values in the package directory. The xml would look something like this: <package version="1.3.3"> <environment type="prod"> <file dir="d1/d2" name="f1"> <var id="RECV_HOST" value="santo"> <var id="RECV_PORT" value="RECV_PORT_SERVICE" type="service"> <var id="JEPL_SERVICE_NAME" value="val_omgact"> </file> <var dir="d4/d3/s2" name="f2"> <var id="PRECISION" value="true"> <var id="SEND_STATUS_CODE" value="323"> <var id="JEPL_SERVICE_NAME" value="val_omgact"> </file> </environment> <environment type="qa"> <file dir="d1/d2" name="f1"> <var id="RECV_HOST" value="test"> <var id="RECV_PORT" value="1444"> <var id="JEPL_SERVICE_NAME" value="val_tsdd"> </file> <file dir="d4/d3/s2" name="f2"> <var id="PRECISION" value="false"> <var id="SEND_STATUS_CODE" value="323"> <var id="JEPL_SERVICE_NAME" value="val_dsd"> </file> </environment> </package> What are your thoughts on this approach? Is there an existing python module, package or script that I could use for this purpose since this seems fairly generic and can be used for any installation. Thanks! Sam

  • Create DB in Sql Server based on Visio Data Model

    - by Yaakov Ellis
    I have created a database model in Visio Professional (2003). I know that the Enterprise version has the ability to create a DB in Sql Server based on the data in Visio. I do not have the option to install Enterprise. Aside from going through the entire thing one table and relationship at a time and creating the whole database from scratch, by hand, can anyone recommend any tool/utility/method for converting the visio database model into a Sql Script that can be used to create a new DB in Sql Server?
