    On Youtube.com the flash applet seems to suck the input focus. Shortcuts like CTRL+T or ALT don't seem to work. How can you make a new window without having to touch the mouse (keyboard only) when on youtube.com or other sites that have a flash app that traps keystrokes?

  • Is it possible to apply a Theme to Google Chrome when it's in "Application Mode"?

    I've applied the "brushed" theme (https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/theme%5Fbrushed.html) to my main google chrome browser windows without any problem. However none of the "application mode" shortcuts I created pick up this theme. For example, running chrome as follows does not pick up the "brushed" theme: chrome.exe --app=gmail.com I want to be able to apply themes to google chrome in application mode.

  • $PATH is driving me nuts

    OK, apologies if this is something dumb, but I'm running out of ideas. Goal: prepend /usr/local/bin to $PATH Problem: $PATH won't do what I want or expect How I got here: I want to start learning to program, so I'm getting comfortable messing around under the hood, but don't have a lot of experience. I installed the fish shell (because it's friendly!) using homebrew and set it as my default shell (under system prefs>users & groups>advanced). At some point, I ran brew doctor to see if my installs were all kosher, and it suggested I move /usr/local/bin to the front of $PATH so that I could use my installation of git rather than the system copy. Fine - but between path_helper and fish, something was happening to $PATH that was out of my control, and I could never get the paths arranged in the right way. Environment: OSX 10.8.2, upgraded from 10.7ish, with xcode and devtools installed, plus x11, homebrew, and fish More info: I've set my user's default shell back to bash, and tried a variety of shells thru terminal.app - bash, fish, sh. I moved /usr/local/bin to the top of /etc/paths but it didn't change anything. I looked thru the various config.fish files and commented out stuff that might mess with $PATH, didn't help.     On windows I have a few AutoHotkey scripts that let me hit various key combinations to resize windows to particular pre-defined sizes, or move them to certain areas of the screen (or both). I'm wondering how I would accomplish this in Ubuntu (gnome). Most of the searches I did for a linux version of autohotkey seemed to be centered around just setting up simple keyboard shortcuts (key combo X launches app Y, etc). I didn't see anything about scripting window size and placement beyond maximize/minimize.

  • Why won't my Windows 8 Command line update its path

    I needed to add a new entry to my PATH variable. This is a common activity for me in my job, but I've recently started using Windows 8. I assumed the process would be similar to Windows 7, Vista, XP... Here's my sequence of events: Open System properties (Start- [type "Control Panel"] - Control Panel\System and Security\System - Advanced system settings - Environment Variables) Add the new path to beginning of my USER PATH variable (C:\dev\Java\apache-ant-1.8.4\bin;) Opened a command prompt (Start - [type "command prompt" enter] - [type "path" enter] My new path entry is not available (see attached image and vide). I Duplicated the exact same process on a Windows 7 machine and it worked. EDIT Windows 8 Environment Variables and Command Prompt video EDIT This is definitely not the behavior of Windows 7. Watch this video to see the behavior I expect working in Windows 7. http://youtu.be/95JXY5X0fII EDIT 5/31/2013 So, after much frustration, I wrote a small C# app to test the WM_SETTINGCHANGE event. This code receives the event in both Windows 7 and Windows 8. However, in Windows 8 on my system, I do not get the correct path; but, I do in Windows 7. This could not be reproduced in other Windows 8 systems.   • Debugging info for authentication in tomcat

    I have a JDBC realm setup and a web-app using basic authentication, but I can't get it to work. It is putting up the password dialog but it never succeeds. If I could get the authentication process to spit out some logs, I would be fine. I have debug="99" in my realm specification but I see nothing getting logged in the usual places. Am I missing something?

    Using two servers with NLB, each box contains IIS and a mail server. Server1 is the primary Server2 runs the backup mail server The problem is the web app sends email to ourselves. When mail is sent from Server2 (via its own SMTP server) to ourselves, it tries to contact Server1, as its the mail server IP. But under Unicast mode of NLB, it cant reach the host via the public dedicated IP address. How can we get round this?

What do I need to do, to make the varnish server cache both sites/domains on my backendserver? Basically the structure of my App looks like this Headdirectory -- -APPBase -SomeMoreStuff -WWWDirectory .htaccess So i need to redirect into the WWWDirectory when i open the Headdirectory. In Apache its done with a htaccess and the following Content : RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^(.*) www/$1 I already tried in Nginx : location /Headdirectory { rewrite ^/(.*) /www/$1; } And i tried to create an Alias but that didnt work...   • Showing ImageView next to TextView in a ListView

    So I have a listview that is displaying correctly. When the item is "turned on" the text is white and when it's turned off it's grey. That part all functions great. However when I add the ImageView into the mix I get a null pointer exception. I don't understand why. I've tried using bitmaps as well and get the same problem.     I am unable to connect my Nokia 2690 to my PC via data cable using Nokia PC Suite under Windows XP SP3 Pro 32 bit. Every time I connect my mobile using the data cable, the Nokia App shows a window where it says it's "Installing the required drivers. Please wait". But even after several hours my phone never conects to my PC and the screen remains there idle. I checked in he task manager, Nokia PC Suite didn't go unresponsive.

When I select the sheet name and “Week” then Press the “Enter “Command button then it should get the result from that sheet number . Each sheet number has Month detail in B2 Cell. ? To calculate the Uptime formula for Week wise is • Week-01 = (1680-SUMIFS(L5:L23,B5:B23,"="&B2,B5:B23,"<="&(B2+6)))/1680 • Week-02 =(1680-SUMIFS(L5:L23,B5:B23,"="&(B2+7),B5:B23,"<="&(B2+13)))/1680 • Week-03 =(1680-SUMIFS(L5:L23,B5:B23,"="&(B2+14),B5:B23,"<="&(B2+20)))/1680 • Week-04 =(1680-SUMIFS(L5:L23,B5:B23,"="&(B2+21),B5:B23,"<="&(B2+27)))/1680 • Month =(1680-SUMIFS(L5:L23,B5:B23,"="&(B2),B5:B23,"<="&(DATE(YEAR(B2),1+MONTH(B2),1)-1)))/1680 ? Result should reflect in Summary sheet at B18 cell . o Pending Fault Report Summary ? When segregate the report on its status like which one is open or Close . It is open then it is Pending Fault Report and when it is Close status it means it is closed. ? If any fault which has OPEN status in all sheets(Jan-13,Feb-13,Mar-13….etc) then it should be come as well as in Pending Sheet which ascending date order. ? When it’s status is changed then it should be moved in that month sheet or nearby fault created date. It status is close then it should not be available in pending sheet as it’s status is Closed. ? Each fault has Reported date and we monitor all fault according reported date. ? When we press the Update Fault Report Summary command button then it should update as above logic. ? Some time we export the Pending fault report , so date calendar should be present in Start and End date to Choose the date. When we press the Export command line then it should export the Pending fault report and able to save in Excel,PDF.

  • Where on my C:/ or D:/ drive is the Windows startup directory ?

    I am developing a Java program that needs to run when user turns on his PC, I was suggested to : create a .bat file @javaw -jar path/to/jar/Name.jar arguments drop this in the Windows startup directory My question is : Can my Java program save the above file into the Windows startup directory ? Where is this Windows startup directory on the C: or D: drive ? How can my Java app find out the location ? Is it the same on all versions of Windows ?

  • Standalone tool to synchronize two folders in windows?

    I keep data on a USB drive, but I also keep a copy of all of that data on a hard disk. I like using the hard disk because it's faster and gives me a backup. What standalone tools would work to keep the files on the disk and USB drive in sync? I'd like a single command line executable or standalone GUI app that can do the job--something I could run off of the USB drive. So, things like the MS Sync Tool wouldn't work.
