  Hy, I have a layout that has 2 cols and in every view i have: content_for :main_col and content_for :side_col in some parts of the site, the side_col is always the same and how do i do that being DRY? partial render? i dont think is so good. then it comes to cache.. the content_for is not good to cache... you have better ideias on how to implement this?thanks

  Hi all, i am currently working on a web application that needs to accept video uploaded by users in any format (.avi, .mov, etc.) and convert them to flv for playing in a flash-based player. Since the site is OpenCms-based, the best solution would be a ready-made plugin for OpenCms that allowed to upload and play videos doing the transcode operation in background, but just a set of Java classes to do the transcode would be great and then i could make the uploading form and playback part on my own.

WhatPulse only updates the image once every 24 hours, so I am going to make an application to keep track of that for me, only with realtime stats.   I want to log web site visits' IP, datetime, client and refferer data to access database but I'm planning to log every days log data in separate tables in example logs for 06.06.2010 will be logged in 2010_06_06 named table. When date is changed I'll create a table named 2010_06_07. But the problem is if this table is already created. Any suggestions how to check if table exists in Access?

It works fine until it returns from the Sagepay site and all of my local user session vars are destroyed for some reason.Thus i am unable to use my own created session vars and save information about a user regarding that specific order.
