• App dies on startup but not crash report

  I've given an ad hoc version of my app to some users. Two of them have the app die on start up while one user has no issues. I can also install the ad hoc without issue...but that is always the case for me. One user sent the info below from the Xcode Organizer Console. They didn't find any crash logs. I don't know what to make of the info below. The one thing that stands out is "Permission denied". I place the provisioning and myapp.app files in a dropbox folder. The user then retrieves the files from the same location. I've run codesign against the .app file in the dropbox and get valid output: codesign -vvvv myapp.app myapp.app: valid on disk myapp.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Any one have some ideas how I can figure out why the app doesn't work for this user? Here is the Console output from one user. • Active Directory lookup works in IE but fails in FireFox

  I'm using IIS 5.1 on my local dev machine and I have changed IIS to run using my domain account and configured ASP.NET with impersonate = true. I am able to query my local AD to get information perfectly fine using IE (IE 7.0) but when I use FireFox (3.6.3) it fails with a really un-helpful COM error. I was wondering if anyone else had come across this and knows how to fix this?

  For a user in active directory, the properties hold values for lastlogontime & lastlogontimestamp but the logoncount is 0. I am having only one domain controller in that domain. I found from surfing, that logonCount value of 0 indicates that the value is unknown. But I am totally confused with why it is unknown. Is that an issue with AD.

Unfortunately when I used "SqlConnectionStringBuilder", I could not read connectionstring the has "connectionString="metadata=res:///MainDatabase.Main.csdl|res:///MainDatabase.Main.ssdl|......."" where as it work for "connectionString="Data Source=My-PC\SQL_2008;Initial Catalog =...."". I could get them using "Split" however, I don't like that solution. Is there any way to get my requirements? Thanks

  Hi, I am trying to move a development environment from production to my local machine (Ubuntu), and when I get the code up and running on my box, the site works in rails but I get this JS error: Permission denied for http://ad.doubleclick.net to call method Location.toString on http://localhost:3000. Line 0 Do you have any idea how to fix JS problems, or should I disable the ads in development?

  Hi everybody, In an application we are developpment, we are accessing Active Directory users and groups using the .Net DirectoryEntry and DirectorySearcher classes. Managing the test groups and users during development is getting tedious. I am wondering if there was an easy way to setup a simple local AD in which we could easily create / delete users and assign them or remove them from groups as we want with the DirectoryEntry / DirectorySearcher classes?   I use bash on mac and one of the aliases is like this alias gitlog='git --no-pager log -n 20 --pretty=format:%h%x09%an%x09%ad%x09%s --date=short --no-merges' However when I do :! gitlog I get /bin/bash: gitlog: command not found I know I can add aliases like this in my .gitconfig [alias] co = checkout st = status ci = commit br = branch df = diff However I don't want to add all my bash aliases to .gitconfig. That is not DRY. Is there a better solution?

  We're currently evaluating different Java reporting engines, and having a web-based ad-hoc report designer is a requirement. We don't need anything too fancy, but we need users to be able to define a report with columns X, grouped by Y, sorted by Z, etc... We've found that many of the open source tools do have graphical report designers, but the designers are typically not web based. (For example, iReport from JasperReports seems to be an application, not a web tool) Can anyone recommend a reporting tool which meets this web-based requirement?

• .net directoryService returns less result as compared to the CSVDE

  I am using .net directoryService to execute an LDAP query and retrieve the users from AD. but when I run the same query using CSVDE tool , i get more no of result as compared to the directorySerrvice. in both the case, i'm using thesame credential to run the application and CSVDE. does any one have any idea if I need to set some flag or any thing while using directoryservice. any pointer will be helpful.
